Upon bringing in a patient in after calling and verifying walk ins welcomed, we were turned away! Please keep in mind we arrived 16 minutes agter the call. The receptionist that I spoke with rolled her eyes when we were told by the younger receptionist we would bot be seen, that is ridiculous. The patient that was brought in was an asthmatic. We informed them of the reason for the visit. The younger receptionist went to get a nurse that confirmed shortness of breath and chest tightness from triage. The nurse advised us that they were going to speak with the provider. 15 minutes later the younger receptionist came back again and told us we could not be seen! This was a total waste of time! From the most recent reviews it appears that this is becoming the norm and it is absolutely unacceptable! It appears that the staff was more concerned about getting home on time than patients. Being that Northwestern Medicine is a well respected establishment, something needs to change locally sooner than later. I remember the days when this immediate care rated 5 stars. It is my hope that you all get this turned around.

Strip mall covid testing by people with zero…read moreconcept of customer service, basic professionalism, or appropriate handling of test materials. If you do go...book Friday afternoon when I am sure their only appropriate staff member is on duty otherwise avoid! Absolutely rude staff last week. A digital upload system where you do your part and they claim you didn't. Quick to make a buck from insurance and act like you aren't paying (when you have proof of payments made by your insurer), deplorable lack of knowledge regarding government insurance cards and how to read them. You have other choices in town now. What could have been a stellar service is missing the mark. July 2 was treated as if I was there for a fraudulent encounter. Told my Insurance was not accepted (had been successfully billed THIRTEEN previous times!), told I didn't upload my stuff (I did 2x), and when presenting my cards, again refused. Had to have manager by phone who was useless because the staff member was not presenting the full information. Despite manager authorization staff member still would not run scans of materials. Finally persuaded to scan. materials. Staff changed gloves finally to get materials out. Then touched numerous other surfaces, then the materials then opened them with the dirty gloves. My attempts to protest the treatment, the management response, and the legit concerns were met with non-response until today when on WEEK FIFTEEN I was informed I could no longer use this facility because "I was rude (yep upset customers might be that way after you accuse them of fraud without a warrant to do so) and that I threw the completed package at the staff (umm no I actually set it in the bin, labeled samples because the staff was working with someone else)." So do yourself a favor. Their crappy system doesn't work. Rocket testing is not defined by a 23-minute encounter where you have to plead your innocence with an uneducated person and not worth the distress of finding out next week too late to get your weekly test and keep your job that they not only will not apologize, they have vindictively terminated the service. Also...I had an appt today--no one canceled and no one was there when I arrived--had to wait an additional 15 minutes to be told I was refused service. SO UNPROFESSIONAL AND INAPPROPRIATE!
