Obviously going to an immediate care isn't a super fun experience but the staff made me feel very comfortable, cared for, and they had so many refreshments to help pass the time. Maybe it's because i'm a professional yapper, but the people at the front desk were so lovely to talk to and the two medical professionals (Tricia & Pirut) were so helpful and made an uncomfortable experience way more enjoyable. Since changing to a new name, this place has gone down hill tremendously. Rude front desk staff, unprofessional MA's and the doctors or PA seem rushed but want to make sure to run every test possible known to man to get money out of you. I was so disappointed in the unprofessional manner in which I & others were treated! My clinic was closed & this was closer than the emergency room, so I was a walk in. I wasn't feeling well & needed help, but I received nothing but bad attitude from the girl at the front desk, the male nurse & the female blonde doctor! The wait times were overly excessive, staff did not offer any updates, explanations nor apologies for the long delays! The front desk girl, doctor & nurse were yelling at one another between the wall that separated them while everyone in the waiting room looked at each other in shock & disbelief!! A couple of people asked how much longer they have to wait, but the girl at the front desk kept repeating that she had no idea! She couldn't answer any questions she was being asked! One man was very upset & kept yelling at her that he made an appointment online for over an hour ago & she said they had to put a ticket in because it doesn't work properly! She was breathing hard & appeared to be overwhelmed & unwell! She disappeared to the back for quite a while! People were walking out, without being seen, after waiting for hours!!! Unfortunately, I was too weak to leave, so I felt I had no choice but to continue to wait to be seen! When I was finally called to a room in the back, I was made to wait even longer! The doctor was sitting at the computer for a long time and it didn't appear that she was going to the rooms in the order in which we were called back there! I was so thirsty, but there was no water! How is this place still open operating this way? Whatever issues they are having between one another or with the lack of staff or supplies is not our fault & we do not deserve to be treated this way!!! I am concerned if I even received the proper diagnosis & prescription for medication?! I would not recommend this clinic & I will not be returning! read more

I scheduled a 9:30am appointment. Upon arrival, I was told that they have NO providers on site, but that I would be seen by a "virtual" provider on a computer and that I was next in line. I waited for one hour before I finally left at 10:30am as they were unable to provide any other update besides "you're next". This appointment should have been cancelled by Physicians Immediate Care if they were unable to have a provider on site and if they were unable to complete the appointment at the time it was scheduled. They should have called me to cancel it as soon as they were aware that they had no provider. read more

Have frequented this location for myself and my children and always had a positive experience. Physicians and techs are helpful and do a nice job taking the time with their patients. Was recently there and seen by Karen who was wonderful. The convenience of the clinic paired with the service of the staff keeps us coming back when needed. read more

After checking in I was told that there was no physician on site and I would be seen via Telehealth. It took over an hour and a half to be seen and I was the only person in the waiting room when I arrived. A customer checking in asked whether they were affiliated with Duly or Amita Health and the front desk employee didn't even know... Once they finally brought me into a patient room, after asking the general series of questions, they left me alone in there for like 15 minutes. The computer monitor was off but kept making Skype noises and i opened the door to ask, "am I supposed to answer this myself?!" They said no and I waited another 10 minutes. I only talked to an actual physician for under 5 minutes. I'd give 0 stars if I could, but what they prescribed cleared my rash & in turn cleared my face up as well and my skin never looked so clear, so I'll give them that I guess Avoid this place at all costs if you're looking for "immediate" care!!! read more

Do not go here unless you want to waste your time. Had an appointment for 12:30, used an hour lunch break but figured it might go past it. I did all of my paperwork and checked in before to "ensure quick service". 6 people ahead of me upon arrival. After 45 minutes of waiting, 2 guests were seen. I understand you might need to wait, but an appointment should still be honored to within half an hour, otherwise don't have an opening! When I went to inform them I wanted to cancel my appointment, an additional 5 minutes and no one at the desk came to talk to me, so eventually just walked out. 1 hour of my pay gone, just to waste my time, my gas, my lunch, and still be sick and have no medicine. We have visited the Plainfield's location on January 1st 2024. My wife had an acute cough and Influenza (both confirmed by the physician in the office). As a result of the visit, the doctor did not prescribe anything except a number of medicines over the counter. We went to a MinuteClinic at CVS. The nurse found that this cough is significant that can lead to a bronchitis, and she also found ear plugs (the PIC doctor did not even look inside ears). She prescribed Tamiflu, antibiotics, and an inhalation aerosol. I would classify our treatment at the PIC office as unprofessional, a waste of time, money and harmful. In the future, we will definitely be considering other places than PIC. read more

Went in to see if I could get a refill for a prescription from 12 days ago. They said 1 hr wait. I waited 1hr 45 min and then was told it would be another 1 hr and a half. I understand how hard covid hits nurses and doctors, but It hits patients hard too. I made an appointment with this facility and have waited in my car for over an hour each time. I even did my registration online so I'd be able to get in and get out as quickly as I could so the next person could get in quickly too. I'm not in this profession so I don't know why It takes so long. Need to clean the rooms? Cool. Plan ahead! Sick people want to get in and get out. This place cannot seem to get it together when it comes to insurance. Every time any member of the family goes there they tell us our insurance is inactive. It is not inactive. Then when my daughter went there, they just said your insurance is inactive and they did not help her passed that point. This is the only place that we have ever had a problem when it comes to the facility being able to do their job and process our insurance that is active and has been for years. I believe they keep running the old insurance which is inactive and has been for a couple years. But they will not admit to that. And people go in there when they're not feeling well so just fluffing them off and not helping them at all should not be an option for the employees there. I am very unhappy. read more

I received so much misinformation between the web site and the person at this clinic on the phone as well as the person at the front door. I called two other physicians immediate cares and got even more conflicting information. I finally was able to speak to the clinic manager Kaitlyn and she confirmed every piece of information I was given was incorrect!! I've been here a few times before - usually before my doctor's office is open, or if my doctor has no openings. Most recently, I was here on Monday. I had severe facial pressure and pain around my eye and I knew it was a sinus infection. I walked in around 8:30 in the morning, and left around 9am. Only had to wait in the waiting room about 10 mins before being taken back. The front staff is always nice, as is the nurses I've seen. The doctor was kind, knowledgeable and didn't try to rush me out the door. Like I said, I've been here a few times before and I've always had a pleasant experience. They also let you book an appointment online in advance, and this lessens your wait. I did that with my first appointment (and my son's - they saw us both at the same time for strep), and we were in and out in no time. The bathrooms, waiting room, and the patient rooms in the back are all clean - which is a huge plus for me! read more

*Warning: This review involves medical stuff that might gross you out* Mama said, "don't scratch that mosquito bite!" Now I know what the big, damn deal is if you do scratch. Over the summer, I developed an infected mosquito bite on my leg. I scratched it, it opened, and I did what I could to treat it, keep it clean, etc. Shortly after, I developed an abscess on my leg, near the mosquito bite. I started to worry when it became larger and painful, so I headed over to Physicians Immediate Care. The doctor was really nice and appeared genuinely concerned regarding how to treat my wound properly. I was told that the area would be numbed, and she would cut into it to drain the pus and then pack the wound. However, when she used a novacaine-like painkiller, I became woozy and dizzy as if I were about to have a seizure (I've had seizures before so the feeling is terrifying). Although I've had this reaction before, it made me panicky and I asked her to stop. She was kind enough to stop and respect my wishes and gave me instructions regarding home care. In 2-3 days, I was fine, it swelled and drained with little coaxing on my part. The compassion is key here. But I felt she was a little TOO eager to cut into my leg, considering that, the next day, it opened on its own and drained - all I did was flex my leg. I was also treated for an ear infection here. Everything went fine for that. I'd recommend this location for simple things like ear infections, coughs, etc. Especially if you're a parent and always taking your kid to the doctor for the same thing. Anything more than this is out of their league. I've been in the waiting room alone, or with 1 other person. And the wait is way too long for what this is: an urgent care with little to no business. Also, I highly dislike that you have to put a credit card on file with them. This is so that they can bill you for whatever your insurance doesn't cover. I like and told them on both of my visits that I didn't have a credit card with me, so they let it go and reminded me that "next time" I should bring one. Close to home for me, but I prefer Edward Immediate Care in Bolingbrook. Less wait, and no credit card hassle. read more

Just the Facts: Wife's office visit for the flu at Physician's Immediate Care: $410. Daughter's office visit for the flu at a Walgreen Take Care Clinic 2 week prior: $109. Wife's office visit for the flu at her Physician's office last year $160. Physician's Immediate Care's pricing for the flu is outrageous compared to any place that my family has been. So much so, that my Blue Cross Blue Sheet PPO reduction was a whopping 64% to $150. With the way Obama has absolutely screwed up the medical industry whereby now everyone gets mediocre care at best, these reviews are important. If you are a cash payer with no insurance, this is not your place. If you have insurance and you know your insurance company will negotiate a much lower overall price here, then it may be acceptable. This review relates to an office visit for the flu only, I fortunately have not needed to go there for more serious issues, i.e., broken bones, stitches, etc. My other pet peeve about this place is when my wife called to ask approximate price, the receptionist could not give an approximate answer, regardless if cash pay or not. In summary: this place is outrageously expensive. To me its seems Physicians Immediate Care's pricing strategy is to capitalize on those without insurance , while many of those with insurance will not realize or care with their price post-insurance reduction (I have never seen a 64% PPO reduction before which further supports my theory). godspeed to the future of healthcare. read more

Doctors are always kind and helpful but there is always an hour wait time! Whether there is one patient or ten they are never moving quickly. Nurses and staff are sitting and walking as slow as possible. I always end up leaving and driving over to the Oswego location and being seen w in 30 min regardless of the number of patients. We only come here as our absolute last resort- and today had proven that things still haven't changed. read more

We went here for an ear check up for my son who had no symptoms of covid. They tested him he was positive. When I asked about monoclonal antibodies, I was told no those have no proven effect on covid. So interesting since they do and other states offer them as a first line of defense. Fast forward to getting my daughter tested so she could return to work per her work policy and even listed on the front page of our diagnosis received from here that she should follow her work policy to go back to work. She tested negative. Next the nurse practitioner, her name was Elodie, proceeds to tell my husband he should bring her back every day for the next week. Even though that is not part of there protocol also written on the document. Then on the back page of her diagnosis this nurse practitioner writes about a study of false negatives and all this other nasty opinionated garbage in all capitals and exclamation points. Basically stating the opposite of what their own form says to do. Later that day an acquaintance goes in for sinus stuff and they tell her oh well you she should get tested we just had a little boy in her with an ear infection that tested positive. Thanks for not following HIPPA! I responded to how the service was that we received and I was told someone would call me..... no on ever did. Honestly a rip off. Copay is 100$ but with my insurance it should be only 25$ but the nurse kept telling me it's 100$. I came in to get a doctors note for work because I was sick. I told the doctor I was sick, they took my temperature did a check up told me that I'm sick and that I have a ear infection. They didn't prescribe me any medications what so ever. The staff is very nice but they have a lot to work on when it comes to the care of patients. I shall not be returning to this facility ever again. read more

We recently went to get Covid tested at this location in order to travel for an upcoming adoption. The paperwork that they gave us was incomplete and we were almost unable to fly out because they refused to email or fax us the rest of our paperwork to us or the airline even though we had given our consent and signed HIPAA release forms. This caused us a great deal of worry and stress as we almost missed our flight. This missed flight would have cost us thousands of dollars and postponed our adoption for months. This facility refused to help us out in any way and even refused to speak with the airline staff. The airline suggested that we contact another Physicians Immediate Care facility to see if they would fax or email us our results and luckily they did. Do yourself a favor and go to another Physicians Immediate Care facility as this one will mess up your paperwork and will do nothing to help you fix their mistake. read more

This is our primary urgent care clinic. Our individual primary's are available but not as fast as this clinic. I am 30 years a nurse, qualified to makes an assessment of this practice. They absolutely follow all of the,clinical algorithms for assessment, for each and every diagnosis that my family has gone in for. Incredibly talented staff! Company must be keeping their staff happy it seems, and that means they are able to keep excellent staff!! INSTRUCTIONS!: Always use an urgent care as it is intended. Following up in 1 to 3 days with them or your primary care doctor is mandatory!! Even if it is a phone call to your primary to give information about the visit to keep in your records. Those that have negative reviews..... Simply are not understanding healthcare, as it is Intended! Medicine IS!!! A science. Some diagnosis' cannot be completed in just one trip. Sometimes medicine has to rule out things. IT IS A SCIENCE! Use this clinic. Explain your symptoms just as they are. If you are one that always gets diagnosed in the same area incorrectly, it is wise to KEEP going back to the same doctors. And proving that theory. I gave this facility 1 star because of the hours. Other than that the wait is incredibly long to be seen by only a physician assistant, who misdiagnosed my daughter and then when I asked for a rediagnosis wanted to charge me a second time. Not to mention they keep your credit card on file and you have to call the billing department to cancel it. The reception staff is not that friendly. The facility is not that clean. Choose another place where they have qualified doctors and a friendlier front staff. read more

I was very disappointed with service that I received here. Not only was my issue unresolved but I later found out after returning and wanting to see that doctor again that I was never in fact seen by a doctor!! Apparently a place called "Physicians immediate care" HAS NO PHYSICIANS ON STAFF. Everyone is seen by a PA (physicians assistant) who dresses and acts like a physician. I was never informed of this before being seen. If I'm going to pay $200 to get medical advice I would like to have it come from someone that actually went to medical school. Talk about FALSE ADVERTISING. I don't even know if its legal for a PA to see patients without a physician present but I guess that doesn't matter a whole lot to these people. I feel sorry for all the people going in and getting fooled thinking they're seeing legit MD's. My advice go elsewhere!!!! read more

I have been waiting either in the waiting room or exam room 2 hours to confirm or deny strept throat. Here's the scoop: anyone can make an appointment online even though it is a walk in clinic. They take the scheduled appointments ahead of you and you don't find that out until you walk up to the desk and ask why 4 people are let in ahead of you. The exam room doesn't move any faster. I went to Physicians Immediate Care after receiving a nasty cat bite at work. I went in around 7 pm on a week night and was seen right away. The registration and check-in process was fast and easy. Everyone was extremely courteous and professional and the P.A. who saw me was very helpful and knowledgable. The nurse called me the next day to check in and see how I was doing.
