I have been bringing my children to this office since 2015. The Physicians and Nurse Practitioners have always been nothing short of amazing. They offer quality care, never make us feel rushed or stupid for asking questions, and the nursing staff are so caring, they do so much to make sure our little ones feel comfortable with each part of the visit. They always state their names when they room us, and now my children call them by their first names when they see them ! The front staff are equally as wonderful, always offering comforting words when I call and ask for help and support. They make my children smile and are always happy to hand out stickers; my kids especially love "two sticker Fridays!" Hope they'll be around long enough for my kids to bring their kids! read more

Still love this place! Me and my husband were just talking about how awesome it is. Especially considering we are there often with our kids being young and in school! Also it is DOCTOR KOVAR that we love!! Ha ha I had a typo in my previous post. read more

We love Dr. Kovar. He has been treating my son since he was 18 hours old (literally), he's 6 now. The staff is always warm and welcoming and Dr. Kovar is straight to the point. He ensures that my son is comfortable during his immunizations. Anytime someone is looking for a recommendation for a pediatrician, I mention Kids First. read more

My children have been patients of this practice since 2017. Most of the time I would request to see Dr. Ciszek because I felt the most comfortable with the care my children received from her, however I recently had situations with Dr. Kovar and Dr. Liberty that left me frustrated and sad at the lack of care. Recently my son was sick with a high fever for 6 days so I requested an appointment and took him in. Dr. Kovar proceeded to "listen" to his chest while he was screaming and crying. I do not think he was able to get an accurate listen but nonetheless he agreed to Covid and Flu test him (Not RSV test). He then left the room with no treatment plan. The nurse came in and let me know that both of those tests came back negative and I asked about giving an RSV test. She said they would not do that and the treatment would be the same (which is nothing). She told me I could come back in 12 days if he still had a fever. wow. My son woke up the next day with a high fever still. I called the Dr. office back and requested a nurse to call me. The nurse said that I was supposed to call back 2 days after my original visit if he still had a fever. I let her know that I did not receive that information because Dr. Kovar and the nurse neglected to tell me that. The nurse said that they wouldn't be able to get him to asses him again that day but that she could ask Dr. Liberty if she would send in for a chest x ray. What? A chest xray ? They didn't even listen to his lungs accurately and a chest xray should be last resort. I let the nurse know that I refuse to do the chest xray and I would just bring him to the pediatric urgent care. Thank God I did because he tested positive for RSV and had an ear infection. I was then able to know what to look out for with his breathing and get an antibiotic for his ears. Soon after he started the antibiotic he was back to normal. The lack of care from this doctor office is sickening. I felt helpless with a very sick 3 year old. I will not return. read more

Let me start with this was not our daughters first doctors office. At her old office we would wait up to 48 hours for a call back if we had a question and it always felt like we were bothering them. When I called this office a very pleasant person answered the phone and took time to go over thing with me and made sure all my questions were answered. Our first visit was wonderful. It is a small staff but we never felt rushed or that any of the staff had something better to do. Everyone was wonderful with our daughter. not only did they speak to both my husband and I but they also talked to her! We have been there for over a year now and we are so happy we found them! When we call with a question (and I do a bit) I have never had to wait an hour to get a call back and everyone took the time to talk with me and they go over everything until you are sure you understand. The only thing that struck me as odd, which I now love about this place is they only make sick visits for that day. You can not call saying my kid is a little cranky can I come in tomorrow, you have to call that morning. At first I was like I have to be able to get her there and if we can only get her there on this day later in the week what if when I call they don't have anything. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED! Even this past Saturday I called and got an appointment without a problem. We love this office!!! read more

I would give them a 0 if I could. It's hard to think of a time when I was so poorly treated at any business. The receptionist took offense when I asked her to let me calm my special needs daughter down prior to giving her my insurance card. She reported me to the office manager who took it upon herself to lecture me about respect. Unbelievable. read more

We are a fan. We moved to the area in 2015 and Drs Kovar and Liberty were highly recommended by neighbors... We have been very happy with the services and with the ability to get in at last minute as well as setting up annual appointments as needed. They understand teenagers and speak to them as young adults (requiring guidance, but also able to think). They make me smile as well when we visit. We need that when raising teenagers. read more

We switched to Kid's First Pediatrics after moving to the area about two years ago. I thought I loved our old pediatrician, but this office is so much better. I feel bad for saying that, but it's true. The office is always clean, the staff is incredibly nice, and if you ever call with a question or concern, the nurses are always quick to respond and call me right back. We've never had a long wait, and we've always been able to get in same-day when we've called about an illness or injury. We've also never felt rushed when it was our appointment time. We have seen both Dr. Liberty and Dr. Kovar, and one of the P.As, Kat, and all three have been super nice and attentive. We are very happy with the office! read more

It's hard to find a pediatrician you like. We used to go to DuPage medical in lombard and I loved my sons dr. there. When we moved to Plainfield and had my daughter, I didn't want to drive all the way to Lombard for those first year visits and picked them and thought I'd give them a try. Since my daughters birth she has been seen by the same dr. No complaints whatsoever. The office is clean, the staff is nice and professional (even on those hectic sick visits) and you never sit waiting. Both of my children get seen here now and we plan on staying with this practice. read more

I love this practice all the doctors here are great especially Dr. Liberty! The nurses are all great too super friendly and responsive on call backs. When I had our first child we called so much with questions and they patiently answered every single question. Our son was hospitalized at 5 weeks old and Dr. Liberty came to the hospital and saw him and made us feel so much better about the situation. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good group of pediatricians who care about their patients and will always answer your questions thoroughly and timely!! read more

Doctors and nurses are very nice, no long waits, clean office. Only negative is the office has so many staff and the staff is only familiar with their own roles, you can get tossed around to a lot of people to get a question answered. read more

Poor experience for the following reasons: -Office is not kid-friendly relative to other pediatric practices (e.g. no toys, games in the lobby, front office staff glaring at parents/kids, no stickers, stamps, etc on discharge) -As new patients we were we not introduced to any of the physicians on staff! My kids are healthy and were seen by an advanced practice nurse. However, as a physician I was appalled that one of the staff physicians were not able to etch out even one minute of their time for at least an introduction to two new patients. Positives: conveniently located, easy parking, advance practice nurse was thorough with both of my kids. Would not return or recommend. read more

Love it. Everyone here is super friendly. We've been taking my 3-year-old here since her 1-week checkup. The nurses, the office staff, the NP and the docs are all super nice. I suppose it takes a caring personality to be a pediatrician or work in a pediatric office, but still they are REALLY nice. We've seen Dr. Kovar, NP Laura, and the recent addition to the practice, Dr. Cisek. Nobody has disappointed. So glad to be so comfortable with the people caring for my precious little girl's health! read more

I called near closing time and they allowed my daughter to be seen in the office same day. Once I got there I had some insurance issues but Annie went above and beyond to get them resolved. Dr. Liberty worked with me to find an effective cost effecient solution to ensure my daughter was able to get the treatment and medication she needed. I appreciate everything! My children have been seen in this office for 6 years and they've seen every provider there. The entire team is amazing-providers and staff! Again, I want to let Annie know I really appreciate her and Dr. Liberty! read more

We've been going to this practice for 10 years and we finally took the plunge and switched to a new practice. It's difficult to get an appointment to see either Dr. Kovar or Dr. Liberty. Our experience with the communication with the nurses and office staff has been poor several times hence our reason for switching. read more

Our family cannot be happier with the care we have been provided with by Kids First. The office is beautiful. The staff is kind, efficient, understanding and accommodating. They always make me feel like they put my child's needs first even when it isn't convenient for them. Thank you for all of the care and consideration. read more

We have been with Dr. Kovar and Dr. Liberty since before they started this practice together...we love them! They are very busy and it's hard to get in on a Saturday for sick visits but they've always been very accommodating whenever we needed to get in. They have been seeing my daughter since she was born and she is going on 12 years old now. I now live a hour away from Kids First and I still go back whenever my kids need to see a doctor. I wouldn't switch them for the world!! read more

Fantastic practice! My two children have been patients of Dr. Liberty and Dr. Kovar for 12 years. As a nurse and having a physician for a husband, we both are always impressed by this practice. The office is spotless and very clean. There is always a Disney movie playing in the waiting room and there are a great selection of children's books. I have never waited longer than 5 minutes, even for sick appointments. Staff is always professional and very friendly. The docs and NP do not rush through anything and are very thorough. I have always had phone calls returned from a nurse very quickly whenever I have a question. Would highly recommend this practice! read more

Dont take your kids there they are all about money ,unneccasary treatnents and procedures just to run up a high bill. Laura the practicioner is rude and dishonest they filled out fmla forms and then when they found out I went to another doctors office got upset and told me to choose which office I was going to attend because I could not go to both then became made and would not fill out my forms for my child who has asthma. Plain DISHONESTLY . read more
