We moved to the area in 2009 and my girls have been at this clinic since then. The older 2 girls have aged out of seeing Dr. Hall. They all asked to stay with Dr. Hall until they aged out at 21. My 3rd received a letter from the office to suggest that she looks for an internist since she turned 18. She had me call the office to ask Dr. Hall if she can continue with Dr. Hall until she is 21. Dr. Hall graciously said yes. None of my girls want to leave Dr. Hall until they have to. They feel Dr. Hall listens to their concerns. Dr. Hall is one of the best pediatrician in the area. read more

Our daughter has been going to Dupage pediatrics from birth to 5 years old and we have had enough. Their phone nurse is awful, has an attitude when you call with concerns in a condescending way. I can only get appointments with one doctor all the time and I can see why. She acts like what you say doesn't matter and almost that it is a bother you are there. Needless to say I am not impressed with the way they treat such young patients and their parents. Also when you ask questions the answers are not informative. There are many practices in the area, I would stay away from this one. read more

They sent me a letter telling me I needed to find another doctor since I opted not to vaccinate right now or moving forward, that it's not in line with their practice, regardless if a child is in need of any other medical attention. I thought all doctors took an oath to ethically help any patient in need regardless. We had been going there since my daughter was born (10 years) and just like that they don't care about your kid anymore. Glad we are leaving! read more

We absolutely love DuPage Pediatrics. Our daughter has been a patient of doctor Christopher Bender for almost 11 years. She has special needs and is disabled and we have been treated with nothing but respect. When I call we get answers , we get fast treatment options , we are heard by our pediatrician, we are seen and every-time we leave we feel good about the job we are doing with our little girl. Never have we ever had a solid doctor like Dr.Bender and we are so thankful he is part of our daughters growth journey. The staff and his nurses are amazing. My child's doctor was Dr. Davis. He has always been great. Now they schedule us with a Dr. Hall. She is about the most likable doctor I've ever met, but that's the end of the good news. As much as I like her as a person she has done little to find out what is wrong with my son. No tests of any kind. After a month of office visits and prescription Band-Aids, She is unwilling to do anything to determine root cause. My son has been going downhill for a month, is gravely ill & he can no longer go to school or to work. We have reached the conclusion that he may be dying, and he independently confirmed this himself. Her advice was to defer to his mother this morning. We are now scared to death. read more

Love this place and the doctors but had the worst experience with the nurses today. My 15 month old wasn't cooperating and instead of helping the 2 nurses just gave me looks and kept asking me to handle my baby. I really don't appreciate that treatment at all, and they didn't step in to help at all...nothing! Left very upset. read more

Dr. Davis is an AMAZING doctor! So kind, patience, and gentle with my daughter. He is genuine and gives great advice to ease a new Mother's concerns. I love the doctors here and the nurses... but this Cathy ( receptionist ) should not work there. She is mean.... whenever I call she is snotty... this morning... I had to ask her if she is having a bad morning coz I don't understand why she is snapping and raising her voice at me... Then she adjusted herself and said she couldn't hear me. Yeah right. If you can't hear a client... you should simply say... "Im sorry can you please repeat what you said?" But she is like... I don't understand what you're saying... in an irritated voice. We have been going here for 3 years. Staff is friendly and efficient. Most of the doctors are very good especially Drs. Hall, Bender and Pamela Huang. We had average experiences with Drs. Deepa Joseph and Kewalramani. But they are newer doctors and need to improve on responding with more care and "beyond textbook" answers. read more

The only reason I am giving any stars is because of the old timers. You know who you are, Lynch etc. You all watched my brother my daughter and myself grow up and helped us when ill since babies. What the hell happened. My daughter was terribly misdiagnosed and scared the hell out of my family and I. Rude doctor on top of it for a pediatrician. My daughter was in shambles after leaving, as was I. Waited 2 weeks to get her in to a specialist to get her tested to find out nothing is wrong and she is perfectly healthy. From the reviews I've been seeing, I think it's time to clean house and start from scratch. What a shame. I won't name any names but I think SHE knows who SHE is but probably doesnt care due to her piss poor attitude. Goodbye Dupage, hello Loyola. I have been taking my children to this office since they were little. I used to be beyond grateful for both the doctors, nurses, and staff. It was a great office. Unfortunately there is only one doctor left from the original team I started with, Dr. Davis, and I see him whenever possible. I wish I could say the newer doctors simply need to get through a learning curve, but that's not it. It's a mindset they seem to have, that they know your child better than you as their parent. And the quality is not there either, nor is it going to be. One of our last appointments was with Jennifer Hall. After a nice, general and brief conversation with me and my daughter about her general health, Dr. Hall 'told' me to leave the room. She didn't politely say, my daughter is getting older and privacy may now be appreciated. She told me to wait in the hall. I was taken back; Hall had put me in an odd position and I got up and left. When I called the office later to ask about it, I was told it's regular practice now for the doctor to be alone and talk with the teenagers. The parents are not permitted to know the conversation unless their child tells their parent. That is called the 'state' or 'law' having access to your child that you have not agreed to. I felt it a gross overreach. Lastly, there are several comments here about the nurses. Again, the bedside manner from Dupage Ped nurses used to be wonderful, but several of them, especially ones that have been there a long time...is no more. They are grouchy and often blatantly rude. Maybe they too are unhappy with the new way the practice is going. I don't know, but I'm glad my kids are older and can move on from the practice. I DO NOT recommend Dupage Pediatrics any longer. I truly think Dr. Gardner would be disappointed in the direction his office has taken. read more

Take your babies here. We stumbled upon Dupage Pediatrics only because our twins were born at Hinsdale, and we had to have them seen by a pediatrician with Hinsdale hospital privileges. Enter Dr. Kelly. We kept Dr. Kelly for 18 months, even though it was an hour drive for us from the city, because it was too hard to find another pediatrician in the city with infant twins at home. Then we got our crap together, kind of. We transfered to a pediatrician at U of C Comer. We were disappointed by (a) the crappy parking situation; (b) the long wait times; (c) how hard it is to just call someone if a kid bumps his head; and (d) a million other things I will save for a Comer review. We transfered to a stand alone pediatrician, Dr. Segall, in Uptown near our home. We are still disappointed. The parking situation is awesome, and they answer the phone. But there is more pressure to vaccinate than I'm used to (I'm talking 2nd flu shot, not MMR), the new doc seems nice but hurt our kid when she without warning pulled his foreskin back during a routine checkup, and our kids get sick half the time we go because we spend too much time in a waiting room with sick kids and carpet, books, toys, teddy bears, other things that are hard to sanitize. This all leads me back to DuPage & Dr. Kelly. Their strong suits are: (1) park and walk ten feet into the office; (2) check in and wait two minutes before they put you in a room where your kid will not be infected by other little germy kids; (3) call when your kid bumps his head, and they will have someone on the phone quickly who will tell you what to watch for and that it will probably be okay; (4) never fear if your son is rocking some tickle-tackle because they won't mess with it; and (5) tell them you don't want the flu shot once and they say ok. No form to sign. They are good folks. Dr. Kelly is a sweetheart. She also helped us help our daughter avoid the NICU, fatten her up, and get her iron levels into the normal range. If they were only 30 minutes away, I'd go back. But an hour drive is just too much with a sick kid in the car. read more

We stumbled upon Dupage Pediatrics because I chose the closest doctor's office to our condo at the time when we had our first born. It's been three years, and we now live 25 minutes away, but I will never take my kids to another office. They consistently offer amazing care by employing a wonderful staff of nurses, doctors, and office employees. Because the practice carries such a large group of doctors, there is virtually no wait time - which is important for parents dealing with little kids a doctor's office. Additionally, they work late afternoon hours, and are always available for day-of scheduling when you have a sick kid. Love, love, love Dupage Pediatrics! read more

I cannot believe this office. They terminated my services in October and I have taken my son to the emergency room on two different occasions because DuPage Pediatrics refused to see him. Unfortunately I was unable to set up doctor's appointments at new doctor's office quickly, so ER was my only choice. Lou is a piece of work with NO COMPASSION at all. I recently transferred my daughters to this clinic in January 2018 after we moved to the area. Both my daughters have a history of ear infections and ear tubes. Their previous pediatricians had no issues ever visualizing their ear drums. Well, in March on separate occasions each of my daughters had fevers with URI that did not resolved. So after 5 days I brought them in to have their ears checked, as that usually indicates ear infection. Both times (first with my younger daughter, 1.5 years, and then with my older daughter, 3.5 years), the pediatrician was unable to visualize their ear drums. She sent us to ENT in each of the cases, which meant a second appointment and additional expenses. A pediatrician should be able to check ear drums for possible infection, that is a huge component of their job. In both instances, the ENT had no difficulty visualizing the ear drum with just a plain otoscope, no additional procedure or maneuvering necessary. On top of all of this, when we transferred into the practice, my younger daughter had gained no weight from her 15 month well child check at her old pediatrician to the 18 month well child check at the new pediatrician. There was no concern about this, and no weight check requested. Her heigh and head circumference growth curves were also decreased. Luckily my child is in early intervention, and through our own investigating, discovered that my daughter was aspirating, added a nutritionist and a feeding therapist to her team with no assistance from the pediatrician. I question the competency of the physicians who saw my daughter in this clinic. I wasn't going to post a review, but as a kicker, when I transferred my daughter to her new pediatrician, Dupage Pediatrics refused to release my daughter's medical records to the new pediatrician without paying a fee. I have worked in healthcare for many years. I have never heard of such a policy. It is professional courtesy when a physician provider requests medical records so that they can care for a patient, that the previous provider send those records. Be warned about this practice. You could be spending a lot more money, time and effort for not great care. read more

We have been going to DuPage Pediatrics for over six years and we love it. The staff is really friendly, they are efficient and you rarely have to wait for your appointment, and the location is super convenient for us. Our regular Dr. is Dr. Kelly (who is GREAT), but we have also see Lynch, Huang, Davis, and their newest Dr. Dr. Levy. They are all really terrific. They recently switched over to electronic medical records which I think is awesome. I would definitely recommend for great pediatric care. read more

I am 30 weeks pregnant and just called about the baby becoming a new patient there. I told the receptionist that I was a patient for 22 years when I was growing up and was excited about taking my child there. She could not have cared less and actually seemed annoyed that I was even calling. I asked if they do any type of pre-natal visit where my husband and I could come and see the office and meet some of the staff. Several other Pediatricians in the area do that. She had no idea what I was talking about, put me on hold and came back saying, "we currently don't do meet and greets. Call back after the baby is born." We were recommended to this pediatric practice 23 years ago by a pediatric nurse at Hinsdale Hospital . The practice has grown a lot since then, and the manila files are long gone in favor of digital files, but the professionalism, expertise, and compassion shown by the doctors in this practice has never changed. Although my older child has now aged out of pediatrics, I continue to take my younger child to DuPage Pediatrics, even though I have moved 30 miles away. All the doctors are wonderful, but Dr. Lynch, in particular, is absolutely phenomenal. He patiently listened to my new mom jitters and was the first to identify a problem that my son had. Although the office staff is a bit less friendly than they used to be, I have always been confident in the diagnoses and treatment of the DuPage Pediatrics doctors and would recommend them to anyone. read more

I just noticed that the practice filtered out all the one star reviews. If you look at the bottom where said "4 other reviews that are not currently recommended", you can see where they are filtered! NEW PATIENT or ANYONE ON THE WAIT LIST BE AWARE: We moved from the city to the area last summer and since we heard so many good things about the practice and the doctors, specifically Dr Hall, we waited 6 months in the waitlist to join the practice. Here is our true experience with this place: 1. They are really pushy to make us to see this new doc only, and we can't pick the doctor we want to see. First of all, we were open minded to give a chance to their new doctor, whom we saw at our new patient consultation, but we were not impressed. Later on I called to schedule an appointment with another doc, and they said we need to see this new doctor again. After a few back and forth phone calls and they made it sound like we only could see this new doctor. I asked why and they have been telling me different things each time over 3 phone calls by different person, which is not consistent from I was told each time. Finally, they said we have to wait another 5 months to see the docs that we want. Any patient should have the rights to pick who they want to see, and if we need to wait another 5 months to see the doctor we want it should be advised up front, not after 4 phone calls back and forth. We are busy working professionals, and my time is the same valuable as the doctor's. 2. I have been told different things when I registered for the wait list. For example, I asked if I can see the doctors I want after the new patient consult, and she said yes, but now I just found out we didn't have any other choice but stuck with the doctor we don't like. Also, since we are working parents that have long commute, it's hard for us to take time off from work to come in on a weekday, so at registration I asked specifically if Saturday appointments can be wellness check, the person said yes; but now found out they only open for sick visits on Saturday. Again, inconsistent. 3. This place has so many rules that I never seen at any other practices. For example, each doctor only can see one consult per day. I never heard of that. And they said my kid can't go in as sick visit because she has the symptoms for more than a week, and can't see her right away, even though I told them my daughter has been vomiting a lot more just last couple days. In general, I feel this place is not welcoming the new families, and doesn't care what the new family wants, which should not be this way. They should treat everyone equally. I understand you guys are super busy, well established, and doesn't need additional new patients to run the place; however, if that's the case, then you should not be taking new patient, and should be up front about the new family only can see certain doctors, and we can make our own decision at beginning. We were really happy with our ped in the city, and have the high standard to think all the pediatric should be providing the best care, and be caring about all the families. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I am a single mother, & currently had Medicaid. The state had given me a list of pediatricians who accept Medicaid, and they were one. I called & explained my situation and the lady I spoke to said as long as one of their doctors sees my son at the hospital when he is born, then he would be an established patient and could come to the practice. After nearly 30 hours of labor, my son was born, & shortly after the doctor comes to see him. Apparently DuPage pediatrics was not sending doctors to the hospital due to the virus but had a representative there to see my son. She too told me that he would be able to be seen at the practice since she saw him. A few hours later I get into recovery, & call to make his first appt for a few days later. The lady is SO rude and tells me they don't accept state insurance. I explain that was not what I was told before he was born. She has a terrible attitude and when I explain I have a less than 12 hour old newborn and no doctor, she basically tells me I am out of luck, and eventually hangs up on me. A lot of doctors do not accept Medicaid, and I had probably called 17 before he was born trying to find a practice that did. She tells me all I can do is call the state and find another doctor, which keep in mind, you are normally on hold with the state for at least an hour, & now with this virus and everyone out of work, it's even longer. Her attitude about state insurance made me feel like there was something wrong with me. I get it's not an ideal situation, but I am a single mother and insurance for the two of us would of been $500/month and I cannot afford it. Thankfully I found an AMAZING pediatrician elsewhere. Maybe the doctors are okay here but the front desk staff is awful. read more

The DuPage Pediatrics doctors are great, but the office staff is so intolerably rude that I pulled my three children from their practice. The wait times on the phone often exceed five minutes. The staff treats you as if you are bothering them when you call. Their attitude is so unprofessional and rude that it is not a place you want to take your children. read more

I would like to say that I usually don't write reviews, but I am highly upset with how this situation was handled. So About two months or so ago I had called to schedule a sick visit for my child. I was told at that time a letter had been sent to my home dismissing my children form the practice due to cancelations and no show visits. I then explained my situation to the PSR that I was speaking to on the phone. I stated that I to worked in the medical field and was unable to get my kids to appointment because of similarity in hours. I stated I had to rely on family and friends to bring my children to their visits. The conversation went on and the PSR understood my dilemma. She did mention that a certified letter had been sent to, I explained that I hadn't received such letter. She did note that the letter had been returned to their practice, indicating that I hadn't received the letter. Had I received it I would've called to resolve the situation sooner. She placed me on hold to speak to the higher up I image, because then she got back on the phone and indicated we could move forward with scheduling my child's appointment. So the appointment with Dr. Hall came and went, visit went well. Today my other child called me and stated that he would like to make an appointment to see Dr. Huang, so of course I call to make an appointment... I call today to set up an appointment, I was told that Dr. Pamela Huang was out on sick leave and they would have to speak with Dr. Davis to see if my child could be added to his schedule. At that time I stated that my child's insurance was canceled at the moment and my child would be a self-pay patient. She said that she would speak to the doctor and business office and call me back. Again I was at work so I missed the call, they left a message indicating I needed to call back because insurance was inactive. I called back and was transferred to the business office, this is when service went downhill. As soon as this person picked up the phone she seemed bothered. Straight away she said you are no longer able to see any of the doctors here, they all no longer want to see your family because of the cancelations and no show. I tried to explain that that issue was resolved and that my younger child was just seen by Dr. Hall not too long ago and the matter had been addressed. She became irate yelling the same thing over, she then states your children public aid is inactive. I stated that I knew this and that I was willing to be a self-pay patient until insurance kicked back in. At this point she was still yelling, I wasn't able to get a word in. I'm not even sure she heard what I was trying to tell her. She put me on an eight minute hold and another women answered the phone. I then began trying to explain my situation that the situation with the cancelations and no shows was resolved. She said that my younger son receiving an appointment with Dr. Hall was a mistake and none of the physician at her practice want to see either of my children any longer. She mentioned the letter, I told her I never received a letter but did have a conversation with one of the PSR when I had scheduled my other child's visit just two months prior. She keep saying 'we sent out a letter we sent out a letter'. I asked her to tell me the address where the letter was sent to? When she told me the address come to find out is was incorrect. I tried to explain that both of my kids have been patients since they were born one being 13 years old and the other 6. Was there anything that could be done, because the issues had been resolved and an appointment had been given with Dr. Hall just two months ago? Again the answer was "none of our physician want to see either of your children again and she hung up. How disheartening is that? As I mentioned prior I to work in the medical field as a RN and would never treat a patient in the manner that I was treated. When we discharge a patient it is from a specific physician not the entire practice. I know that all corporations are different, I just couldn't believe that I was treated in such a manner. Well that's my review, over all the physicians there are fantastic. I just think the business office employees could use a customer service seminar or two. read more

We have been taking our infant daughter here for her regular check-ups. So far we've seen three of the different doctors, Kelly, Lynch, and Huang, and they all have been very friendly. The staff has been great, very nice, and were as quick as possible with our vaccinations. The office is very clean and open. I have been going to this doctors office since I was born and stopped once I was 17. Since going to college I have needed my medical information to be printed to give to my schools. Last year (2013) I went to get them for my college in iowa. The staff at the front desk was very rude and unfriendly. She acted like I was making her do so much work to simply go down stairs to get my file. I let it go got what I needed and left. Then today July of 2014 I needed my files again because I am starting a new program in Tennessee. Once again, the lady was super rude and not helpful when I called. My mom had called yesterday to give them notice I will be needing my file and then I called today and she told me she could not get my file and there is no a 25$ fee which I have NEVER had to pay before. I just got into the school and I need these files by Thursday to give to the school since I will be starting in less than two weeks. Now I am screwed over because she said she cant give them to me. I am from Darien I have many family and friends in Darien a lot of which are now getting married and a couple that are expecting children I will make sure I tell them about my experience and will also post of multiple websites about my experience.
