Extremely convenient in times of panic. I've been here about 6 times and they're never busy. Wait time's usually just 1-10 minutes. They offer flu swab testing, Covid-19 swab and blood (serum) testing, X-rays, urine analysis, and more. They have a huge waiting room, honor social distancing, and offer plenty of hand sanitizer by the entrance and after you check in on a small screen. Any pediatrician we've seen has always been able to determine the issue with my kids without having to refer us elsewhere. Staff is very rude especially the woman behind the front desk . We walked in before closing tonight. We did TeleMed first at around 6:30pm and they told me to go in. I explained to the doctor I would not be able to go in right away and she said go in when you can whether it's tonight or tomorrow. My daughter's temperature was really high 102.4 so we decided to go in . We arrived at 9:25 PM The woman behind the desk was not going to let us see the doctor because they were closing in 30 minutes. After explaining 10 times I started to raise my voice and she threatened to call the police. I plan on calling corporate tomorrow to let them about my horrible experience. She also turned an infant away that should have been seen. She was complaining that she needed to go home. We brought our baby in and instead of diagnosing what was wrong with our kid (high fever, reflux, etc) her comments were offensive and cruel. She did not offer any insights other than "go to your pediatrican, your kid has issues and delays." (she implied he was on the spectrum) We were there for about 15 minutes and she had the nerve to not only misdiagnose, she criticized a sick baby and his parents in a matter of 8 minutes. It's like a scam when you go there in the late evening. They have big signs that x ray on site and they are open till 10pm. But when you go late like after 9pm, no technician. And if you try to call them before you drive up there, the phones are not picked up. The automated line will say "all our services are on website". But that is not the truth. Our normal pediatrician - Navesink - doesn't allow future appointments, it's either you hope to get an appt that day or you try again later. The doctors themselves at both places are great and nice. I am writing an updated review of PM pediatrics. My 1st review was 6 years ago when they were doing a great job! Unfortunately, over the years that which made it a godsend has come up short. It seems small, but when we come here the TV's in the waiting room are no longer on, they got rid of the screen that shows the line, and the wait time with an appointment is completely terrible. At 3:30 I made an appointment for 6:22 the same day. We arrived at 6:20 and checked in. We were not seen until 7:45! This is unacceptable. When I asked I was told they "fell behind". What that meant I have no idea. Waiting with a sick 10yo for this long is absurd. I understand being slightly delayed, but this amount of time is unacceptable. We visited the Pompton Plains, NJ last night after fearing my daughter broke her foot. The girl at the front desk was very sweet and helpful. However, the doctor was completely useless. Her examination was poking her pointer finger on the top of my child's foot asking "Does this hurt?" That was it.... the entire exam. We had asked for an X-ray since my daughter was in excruciating pain and could barely walk or put weight on it. After the X-ray she popped in and said "It's not broken, maybe try soaking it in warm water." She didn't offer to wrap it or give any advise for pain relief. I tried to ask questions such as returning to sports/gym. She simply shrugged her shoulders and repeated "It's not broken" Needless to say, now I'm making an appointment with an actual orthopedic. He seemed annoyed that I would bring my daughter there for a check up "just for a fever" because "Its common for babies to have fevers". Do not take your child here for COVID testing. I took him in and got a test at 3pm and was told by Erin I would have the results the next day in the afternoon. I called 24 hours later, and whoever answered the phone said that was false and that no person in their office would ever say that because it takes 2-3 days. This place is a mess, this is the second time I get him a COVID test there (and the LAST). The first time it took 8 days to get a result. Called yesterday on 12/09/22 to be seen as my son was sick and deteriorating and needed help. When I called to make an appointment the lady on the phone seemed annoyed like I was bothering her to come in - sorry my son is sick but okay. When we arrive, what she didn't tell me on the phone was that the doctor was in surgery. Yesterday I took my grandson Bryce's into P M pediatrics because he was coughing. I had a 540 appointment and I came a little early to see if I could be seen sooner the front desk. Young lady was very helpful and she put me right in my grandson was in and out of the facility prior to his original appointment. They did a strep test on my grandson and it came back positive and they ordered a prescription for him and sent it over to the pharmacy. I really appreciate P M pediatrics for their ability to diagnose and treat a patient. I would consider taking my grandson every time he's not feeling well to P M pediatrics. They absolutely do NOT honor appointments for Covid testing at this location so based on true experience I would strongly suggest that folks go elsewhere. They are staffed with only one doctor for the many would-be patients thereby forcing those in waiting to leave after spending 3 hours waiting - 2 hours after being processed. The lady at the front desk that processed me was exceptional but it went downhill from there. As I said waiting 3 hours was just too much for me. On 9/5/21 we went there because my daughter was congested and had a sore throat. We wanted to make sure it washad insurance coverage, but did not have cards yet. I brought my son in after a sudden high fever early evening. Everything upon check in was fine. Receptionist was friendly. When the doctor came in, she seemed friendly enough (and I know how busy they can get). But when she started examining my 3 year old and looked in his ears for infection, he wiggled so much that it would have been hard for her to get a good look. She said there was no ear infection, but I politely asked if she would check one more time just to sure, and she said she would have seen it but if I really needed her to she would. I was taken aback by her rudeness. But when she looked in my baby's ears the second time, she shoved her light in so deep and was pulling on his little ears so hard. I had to say you can stop now. Huge mistake going to this office for COVID test. We made an appointment online, filled all the paperwork ahead of time. After arriving on time we had to wait for 45 minutes to be put in a room to be seen first by a nurse, who took blood pressure (?) and then did the swabs. She told us to wait for the doctor without explaining why. At that moment, we have been waiting for over an hour since appointment time just trying to get a COVID test! We had to leave without seeing a doctor because the wait was just too much for absolutely no reason ( they probably try to milk insurance for " seeing a doctor "). The facility is clean and inviting for children and our wait was less than 20 minutes for a walk-in. We were seen by the doctor fairly quickly and he was diagnosed with an ear infection. I brought my child who's been sick with diarrhea into pm pediatrics (first time visit to this practice) to see a doctor and instead of providing him with great care - the nurse practitioner injured my sons ear canal while checking his ears. First of all to anyone who goes to this practice - you don't see a doctor! You get a nurse practitioner! If I had known a doctor wasn't going to see my child I wouldn't have came here in the first place. The practice should have informed the patient the option of seeing a nurse practitioner or a doctor. I wasn't given the option! What an awful practice. You pay good money on your insurance and you end up seeing a nurse. I'm very disappointed. In the four years that my son has seen a doctor - not one time has a nurse or a doctor EVER nicked the inside of his ear canal and caused it to bleed! (I discovered the bleeding after I went home and inspected my child's ear and cleaned it with a q tip and all I saw was blood - I'm glad she didn't pop his ear drum) I called to complain about what had happened - the nurse Jaclyn was very apologetic (she had given him Motrin earlier in the office to ease the ear pain after my son was crying profusely about ear pain). And we couldn't figure out why?! That was her remedy. Motrin to fix the injury. I appreciate her apology but I am very disappointed this happened in the first place when it shouldn't have happened. Maybe if the doctor (quinones)on duty was seeing his share of patients instead of putting it all on the nurse practitioner - this wouldn't have happened and the nurse wouldn't feel rushed to do an exam and injure a patient accidentally! That's what I think. Apparently after speaking with the doctor on duty - nicking a child in the ear canal during a routine ear exam is "common" and it's also common practice that a doctor doesn't see a patient instead a nurse does most of the work. This practice needs an over haul and the team needs to not treat the practice as a factory - patient in patient out. Treat your patients with "patience"! And maybe you won't hurt a child the next time. Thanks for making me feel like an awful parent who's child was already sick and to add to that awfulness - he gets injured for seeing the doctors who were supposed to help him feel better! Parents are relying on medical professionals to provide the best care possible and not be treated as just a paycheck. Remember your Hippocratic oath the next time you care for your patients. I recently was here for the third time. Every experience I have had at PM Pediatrics has been phenomenal. From the moment you walk in the door the staff is warm and inviting. They always put you at ease and make you feel calm, even with a sick child. The office is extremely clean and kid friendly. Every exam room has its only theme and television that makes my kids feel less anxious about going to the doctor. Every visit I have met a different Doctor, they have all been wonderful. They interacted so well with my kids, meanwhile explaining everything they are doing to me and my children in a way they can understand. The check out is super fast and the electronically send all prescriptions, and complete with lollipops and stickers!!!! Recently had my first after hours visit to this location. my son ended up having Strep Throat, antibiotic dose given right away and instructions were clear. We were in and out in about 20 minutes. Check in was was easy, Nurse and Doctor were friendly, quick yet thorough. So as far as Medical Treatment and Efficiency, this place was very nice and I would recommend them to anyone. My only issue was the waiting room although very large with high ceilings was very warm and smelled horribly. I can't really say this is a regular occurrence, but when I mentioned it, the response was the room had large windows and the sun made the room warm. Umm...it was cloudy and raining outside.
