My doctor called me fat after my parent left the room. Do not let your kids see Dr. Knowles,…read moreespecially teen girls, if body image is an issue for them/ the family. I recently went to her for my yearly physical, she has been my primary doctor for years and I have had no issues until this year. Once my parent had left the room she kept asking me why I gained weight with the points on the chart being her only data, no labs or anything to indicate an actual medical issue caused by or influencing weight. She told me that at my age I should not be gaining weight, only losing or staying the same. She also likened my mental health medication to a weight loss drug and claimed that by now "they should be working to help me lose appetite and thus weight" even though it is a non-desired side effect that has nothing to do with why I take it. She also insisted that I should see an endocrinologist to help lose weight as well as a nutritionist to get me in a diet without any confirmation that the weight gain is a detriment to my health. I repeatedly told her that I saw no issue with my weight and she kept pushing as if it was a requirement for me to have the same skinny bodies as the rest of my family. This experience was absolutely unacceptable, for a pediatrician to have such disregard for growing people's self image and to insult them and their body repeatedly when they are alone in the room with the patient is despicable. Later that day when confronted with choice of meal I actually started crying and nearly had a panic attack because of what she said to me. This is the kind of behavior that gives people eating disorders that can kill them. After speaking with my therapist and psychiatrist about the situation and how much it affected me they informed me they knew of Dr. Knowles and that my bad experience was not the first they heard. Truly shame on you.

Especially when my primary…read moreis booked for the day, and I have a sick child, I feel comfort knowing that I have a trusted place to take them. The entire staff from front desk, to nurses, to doctors are extremely compassionate and take the time to get to the root cause... even if it's just a belly ache. I never feel rushed and feel that they go out of their way to make me feel comfortable and address all my concerns. I have also recommended this location to several other families. I wish we had more compassionate care facilities, such as this wonderful business. I actually wish I could take my children there for their primary care. Either way I'm happy to know that they are here for us and for all the other families out there. Well done.

Adult patients went in infront of us, and I understand they were there before us but shouldn't more urgent cases be t considered first ? It used to be like this and now it's just by first come first served. These kids were CRYING in constant pain and no one CARED. If it's kinder pediatrics shouldn't KIDS be a priority?! The parents of the other small child LEFT because their child was literally bleeding in pain. But they let two non complaining adults in before us ?! If it's an emergency I would just go to the hospital this facility does not care or prioritize urgent cases.

My sister, a doctor, held our son as Dr. Rumback performed the circumcision and felt that Dr. Rumback did an excellent cut. Importantly, Dr. Rumback continued to follow up with us to ensure that our baby was doing well. She provided us with exact details on how to take care of the baby post procedure. She was always available for questions that inevitably arise. In short, we highly recommend Dr. Rumback to perform your son's circumcision.

In conversations before the bris, I knew that my friend was nervous about the process, the ceremony, and the actual circumcision. I can say with confidence that Dr. Rumbak put the family's mind at ease both with her expertise and her gentle approach. As a "spectator" at the ceremony, Dr. Rumbak passed around sheets so we can all follow along and feel part of the ceremony, and explained what different blessings meant. She also added some Jewish text in a modern and relevant way, which I appreciated, and my family continued to discuss post ceremony. The sweet baby did super well and was calm throughout the entire process. Truthfully, I didn't even know when the actual circumcision actually happened because she was so gentle and discrete. At the end of the ceremony, many people went up to Dr. Rumbak to compliment her on one of the best brit mila's they ever went to, and many asked for her card (including my mom for our temple!). She has a great business partner in Shachar, who socialized with the guests of the ceremony, kept everything organized, and was just an all around stand up guy. Oh, and how great that she is a mohel AND a doctor. Talk about putting your mind at ease..that will definitely do it. Highly recommend.
