Usually full on Fridays and Saturdays (not hard since there's room for around 25 people max inside) so book if you want to go! Food is lovely, tapas style, a mix of italian, spanish and turkish. I had chilli in the skillet for the starter, and this was great. £4.85 The fillet steak was perfect - £22.50, with nice chunky chips, and succulent mushroom. We were welcomed by a not fabulous smell, but I trusted my friends stamp and we sat down, thankfully out of stink range. Bread and such for starter, and the most rock solid cold butter I have ever met, which is a personal gripe when they give you that super soft lovely white bread, but I used my innovative streak and held the butter dish over the candle for a little while whilst the waiter was;t looking. Out mains were great, huge portions of meat, two minutes longer and it would have been too dry, but a through dousing of gravy mostly disguised that. No greens on the plate though. Mash was good, smooth, but fluffy rather than creamy slop that restaurants seem to think we all love. We both plumped for the same pud, cola cake, as it tempted us oddly (must ignore curiosity cola puns...) and it was one of the oddest textures i've had, heading towards jelly like. It wasn't unpleasant, but I would;t call it cake. Not bad, but priced at a similar level to other places nearby that pip it.

Over the summer I ate at Henri's 3 times & had 3 very different experiences…read more The first was very pleasurable. The food was delicious. Our waitress was lovely. Our only 'complaint' would be that now Henri's is a restaurant rather than a pub, I had expected a little more from the staff. We weren't greeted or checked on by the manager, who was milling around the entire time. The second time was fabulous. The food outstanding. Again, a great waitress and this time we had personal interactions with the manager & the chef also walked through & stopped at our table. The 3rd time I found the food to be a little disappointing & we did wait a long time for dessert. We knew the chef this night was different to the 2nd time. All in all, lovely decor, good food & I would definitely go back. Hopefully the creases will have been ironed out by then.

The lamb and the pork belly main courses were ok but the bouillabaisse was very disappointing. The portion was huge but it was just tons of potatoes, carrots and tomato stock, the soup tasted like it had zero fish stock and overall it was more like a vegetarian goulash with some seafood dropped on top. The wine selection was nice and decently priced. The deserts were also ok. One of my dinning companions couldn't eat nuts and at the start of the meal when we enquired whether the pate starter contained nuts the waitress went to check and came back with the answer that "the packet says it may contain trace amounts of nuts". The same response was received when we enquired about another of the starters. Pate from a packet in a French restaurant? It's so easy to make. All in all it was an ok meal but I wouldn't think of returning. It's a shame the food didn't match the surroundings or the service.

Visit on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesday and you can enjoy a three-course meal of first-rate, intelligent pub cuisine for a mere £11.50! We were given a not so happy waitress who didnt seem really bothered with us. Following this our food was awful. Our food was not nice at all, most was cold and did not taste nice at all - not enjoyable at all. We did mention this and have it recitifed which was fine. Following this we had the most rude experience we have ever had at a restaurant! Towards the end of the night we were sat with drinks after our meal, at this point the music in the entire restaurant was turned off abruptly, we asked the waitress what time they shut to which the manager shouted from across the restaurant floor 9.30 We found this very rude and left as it was 9.40. As we left the building we looked at the times on the door to which it said 10.00pm close. We thought this was disgraceful! We complained to Head office to which we got a telephone call from the general manager saying we could come back for a complimentary meal and we also got vouchers for a meal at any F&B restaurant. We returned to the same restaurant some weeks later - expecting 100% top class service following our awful experience. We arrived and made ourselves known to the very nice waiter who said he would tell the mananger we were here and that they would come over. No manager came over to us. Our food was disgusting yet again (even worse then last time) My fiends pizza was burned dark black on the underside, very unedible! my chips and chicken burger were stone cold, we couldnt believe this was happening again!!? We told our very nice waiter the problems and he recitified them but still no manager came over to us. It took most of the night until 2 managers came over and discussed the problems to which they said they didnt really know what to say? Overall we will never go back to this franky and bennys ever again! We were so disgusted with the service and food and suggest to everyone to keep well away from this F&B!
