In June we decided to go into the Uttoxeter restaraunt, after having to wait for quite some time, even though it was apparent some tables were free, we were seated.Immediately upon arriving at the tables both myself and my wife noticed the amount of grease on the table, you could see the tide marks of the cloth that had cleaned the table, looks like it was used for all of the tables without rinsing it, therefore transferring grease from one table to another. The staff were very average and didnt seem motivated at all, the mixed grill we ordered was undercooked, so we mentioned this, the waitress took it away, after expecting it back with fresh eggs etc and livened up, the young cooks(refuse to call them chefs) simply reheated everything now the steak and meat was overdone and the eggs reheated and burnt , honestly my 10 year old son could of cooked the food better. We should of complained there and then but my wife didnt want the fuss on our anniversary so we simply paid left and will never go back. £ 70 for what was at best an incompetent back street pub fayre, daylight robbery Ive had 2 for a tenner meals that were far,far better, expected more from the brand but it did not deliver, wont be going to any of their other outlets in the future on principal, Im like that, and I will stick to it.My advice to you is its basic simple fayre at extortionate prices,I expected far more because of the brand,To be fair we do have one in Stoke which is much better ! The food is cooked by inexperienced unmotivated teenagers which no doubt probably reflects the minimum wage they are on, but the price certainly wasnt minimum, what a load of toshFor a branded chain, youd expect the regional manager/ess to be sending people in to these places and to be training and motivating staff with managers/esses that know how to bring the best out of their staff.BY THE WAY UTTOXTER FRANKIES AND BENNYS MANAGEMENT YOUR IN THE SERVICE INDUSTRY read more
