Got a car from them in March 2024 two weeks later the car needs a new catalytic converter, get it fixed and a month later the motor blows in the car. I have had this car a full month and it needs a new engine but they expect you to make your payment on time. I pick up the car it wont shift out of first gear, take it back thy fix it and drive home and have two flat tires. at this point i am just ready to give the car back!!!! On 9/14/23 my mother came in spoken to Sarah about a car she told my mother that's her car will be done tomorrow morning ... my mother calls to see if the car is ready they say .." we just opened so y'all need to wait" we wait call back for them to tell us it will be ready at 12pm ok..we call back for them to say it's will be ready at 5:00 so now that 5:00 come in we are seating in the building waiting on a car that's was paid for yesterday ........ so my mama gave PLS auto $1000 for car that they don't even have ready for her but won't her to pay her car payment on time. For two weeks they claimed they could do nothing because their office manager John Stephens was on vacation. He got back that Monday and it took them until that FRIDAY to put it in the shop. Purchased a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan and on the 2nd day it would not shift out of 1st gear. Notified them and the mechanic manager said to bring it in like a month later but another manager set it up a little sooner but they held it for about 2 1/2 weeks. The mechanic manager said it would get a new tranny put in from LKQ but guess what... got it back 3 days ago and it is stuck in 1st gear again! What a surprise! Went in to look at a car and they let me look it over. I asked if I could buy it outright and they told me no. Never head of a car lot that won't let you purchase a car without financing. They told me a price which was double the price of NADA retail, really? This is the shadiest car lot I've been to. The manager told me there was a state law that prohibits them on selling me the car outright. SMH! Good luck if you go here and would like to be treated fairly. Updating from my previous review. I've had my car on autopay for months up until last month when they called me saying there was a problem with my payment. I asked what happened and all of a sudden (they didn't know) I went back into the dealership and literally spent 45 minutes in there trying to set up autopay again. The girl at the desk taking payments act like she didn't even know what she was doing and i really about to just leave but it's just convenient for me to be on autopay because of my profession. Fast forward two weeks later I receive another phone call today. My payment wasn't taken out and again my payment is late. I called the 844 number and they said someone took my card info off file even though I was signed up for automatic payments. Now I'm pissed off. At this point, I don't understand what's going on and they're telling me I can make a payment today and be set up with FUTURE payments but not autopay. (How does that make sense) I hung up on the lady and not even ten minutes later the manager called me back saying they have me set up for autopay again but needed to make a payment. Of course I need to make a payment but who am I making this payment to because nobody knows who took my card off file to begin with nor do they know what happened with my last payment I made but expect people to pay them when THEY call. When YOU call them you are on hold for a good 20 minutes to stay on the phone for another 15 smh. I'm done with PLS they are a huge inconvenience to people who actually work hard to keep their accounts current. What company do you know that can't take payments on time then blame you when you're late? read more
