Very unreasonable pricing for a 15+ year old car with 5 accidents in the car fax report. Julius, the salesman, claimed that the appraisal from both KBB and Edmunds was inaccurate and was not flexible at all on the sale price of the vehicle. He was not open to a new vehicle inspection which would have aided in the appraisal of the car as well. Finally, he was very adamant on pushing financing after we told him several times that we were interested in paying cash. I am so hurt, disappointed, and angry with this dealership. I purchased a lemon which should have only cost me $1.29 cents. When confronted, they took no responsibility for their wrongdoings And refused to make it right by Telling me it wasn't a lemon and their mechanics are backed up, and that they would call me with a time and I would have to pay for it. 4 months later still silence. Now I'm drinking sour lemonade and I'm stuck with a car that is Sleeping in the Parking Lot of my complex. I asked the usual questions one would ask before purchasing and was told it only needed plugs. I even asked the dealer if he would buy this for his wife . HE SHOULD HAVE SAID NO. I test drove it with no red flags, no warning lights and the A/C, which said worked in the listing seemed ok Two days later no A/c The heater didn't work and that wasn't disclosed. When A round of snow came in, It was so cold you could see my breath and the steering wheel was like an ice cube. Soon after that , my cars dashboard lit up all kinds of lights including the engine. and my car dinged a warning that came on stating their was a steering wheel malfunction and to pull over safely. All the things I listed above is actually what my car does and is the noise it makes is embarrassing. I asked all the right questions before I purchased this vehicle and was lied to, mislead, and now am completely broke And without a car. For a car that had nothing wrong with it but a change of the spark plugs. What deception! What I inherited is indeed a large Lemon. It needs a head gasket, a cylinder head, a compressor for the non working A/C you said worked. It's a bit query that when I put Freon in it and it lasted two days which is what I believe they did to cover up. It also has A leak in the line. Their are random multiple cylinder misfires in the power train system. Lost communication with the engine control system in the anti lock break system, and the worst one being. IT'S ILLEGAL TO DRIVE because there is a loss of communication with the steering wheel angle system which is illegal to drive for the safety of myself and others around me. Never told the mechanic didn't look at it. The repairs for my vehicle are more than I paid for it AND it's illegal to drive It. IAnd theirs that. I have never written a review before, but I do not want this to happen to anyone else and it appears that I am not the only one that has gone through very similar negative experiences with Express Auto Source. Your response to you reviews including one who you blamed was bullying and picking apart your small family business is just heartbreaking to read. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! Bought an Equinox from here in 02/2024 and it has been a nightmare vehicle. Come to find out it has an oil leak/burning issues that can only be fixed by replacing the engine!!! This happened within days of purchasing. In addition I had to fix an EVAP issue twice. And now the water pump has gone out... Needless to say I am trading in this lemon. Come to find out, at a Chevrolet Dealership, that the CarFax that they pulled for my car purchased at Express Auto shows a Branded Mileage Issues!! It seems like this dealership likes to LIE about the mileage on the vehicles that it sells. My car did not have 68k miles but 112K!!! BIG difference!! Drove 4 hours to purchase a 2014 Toyota Sienna van. When I arrived it was filthy and not detailed but that was the least of my worries. Opened the hood to find salt corrosion, rust and overflow on antifreeze empty. Took a look underneath to find antifreeze leaking and chassis rusting. Salesman Tyler didn't seem too surprised. The dealership is trying to re-write what happened. The check engine light came on within 15 miles of driving off the lot on the second vehicle, not 6 months later. I did not attempt to get work done on it by them. I never spoke to them after purchasing the second vehicle because I understood that I was fleeced and there was nothing I could do about it. So they are literally making stuff up since I never spoke to them about when the check engine light came on (within days of purchase) or about having work done on the vehicle. Again I understand that others have had a fine time with this dealership. I did not. They did not seem trustworthy at all since there I got two vehicles in which the check engine light came on with less than 20 miles of driving both. The first vehicle they had to have reset it because there is no way for the light not to be on without a catalytic convertor. So I caution folks to be careful. read more

This dealership is a con artist! First we found a vehicle on their website. The facts in the listing were false. For example it listed adaptive cruise control and a tow package. There is no adaptive cruise control, and there is a hitch, but no tow package (More about this later). Red Flag Number 1 My husband went to see the car and the dealership was completely unprofessional. They were dressed inappropriately with sagging pants and ball caps. They used vulgar language and swearing. When they took a test drive the salesperson pulled out his vape in the car! Red Flag Number 2 When my husband was signing paperwork he asked about taking the car for an inspection and they would not allow him to take it off property for that without signing first. The paperwork also said "AS IS" and they stressed that. Now all of this was a red flag and we almost did not purchase the vehicle, but it had all that we were looking for (so we thought), low mileage, and it is a Honda so we know Hondas last forever. Even though we did not like the people, we liked the car and my husband decided to go ahead with the sale. We purchased the service protection package just in case. Issue 1 On Mothers day my mom was in town to visit and my husband took us and my son to go out to a nice dinner. We pulled down the driveway and the car simply died. It would not start. We had to jump it with my husbands car and then we had to take his car to dinner. The next day it was fine so we imagined it was a fluke. I drove it for several days before the problem happened again. At this point we had the car for less than a week. We took it back to them and they confirmed that the battery needed replaced and that the alternator and starter were fine. Of course, this was considered regular maintenance and covered on our plan. It was the cars original battery so we were OK purchasing a new one although a quality dealership would have done that prior to selling it. Issue 2 As I mentioned above we were told we had a full tow package. My son and I do civil war reenacting and have a small open trailer we pull our stuff on. Nothing overly heavy. when we go to hook up the trailer, low and behold, there are no electric hook ups for lights. Another expense we will have to take on. We wanted to argue the false information on the description, but of course the posting was taken down as soon as we made the purchase. Lesson learned - next time print it! Issue 3 We drove 2 hours with the trailer (no lights) to our reenactment and on the way back we get a red message on the screen "Transmission Temperature Too Hot" I had no idea what to do. I am not a car expert. All I knew to do was to pull into a truck stop and call my husband who does not really know much more than me. I also went inside and spoke to the employee at the truck stop. By the time I turned the car back on the light was gone (it must have cooled) and we were close enough to home at that point that I just took it home. Of course, back to the dealer we go. Now we are really getting angry. I was not there when signing paperwork so I did not realize our service plan was separate from the dealership and that we could go anywhere. I would have gone to a more reputable service business if I had known I could. They took it and could not "find anything wrong." You cannot check your own transmission fluid on a pilot so they did that and said they added a quart. They charged us of course for their diagnostics $130. Since then we have learned that part of the tow package should be a fan to cool the transmission and of course, we do not have one. We made plans to fix the electrical issue and get the fan before we have to tow anything again. Other than that, we thought we were fine. Issue 4 Fast forward a month and we are headed on vacation from Indianapolis to Washington DC. We get as far as almost Columbus Ohio and, you guessed it, transmission light comes back. Luckily we were close to a real Honda Dealership. They were so so nice and thorough and squeezed us in right away since we are traveling. Turns out that the guys at Express Auto did NOT take care of any of the recall service or computer upgrade. They did not flush the transmission fluid as they should have and when they added fluid, they overfilled it. They said that overfilling is as bad as underfilling! They did things right, got the recalls taken care of, triple flushed out system and had us on our way for less than$200. Needless to say, we have decided that we are not dealing with the dealership anymore for anything unless its a lawsuit for their negligent service. The service contract is a separate company and the lender is a separate company so we are done with Express Auto. They have cost us $600 in the first month of owning the car and will cost us at least $500 to make it safe for towing even though the vehicle was listed with a "Full tow package." They listed a truck that Carfax showed had 134,800 miles as having only 62,579 miles because it had been wrecked and the motor was replaced with a used one that had lower miles. Also stated that the "cluster" matched the 62k miles. That statement seemed to reflect that they had possibly changed the odometer. In any case putting a different motor in a vehicle does NOT change the miles on the vehicle. read more

My mother & I looked at a car there and the deal seemed pretty good. The bank told us that they would question why such a good price. Then i read through all the maps reviews and there were several (17 i believe) that were not good. I noticed another thing, the business responded to every negative review with some sort of explanation and criticizing the reviewer. Using words like "stop lying" "grow up". So we passed on the car and i wrote a 3 star review based on that and sure enough they responded with childlike explanations. So i changed my review to 1 star due to that. They updated there response by posting my full name online, calling me names, telling me to grow up and made up several different excuses on why i gave them a bad rating. Cyber bullying me to take mine down. I wont. This company practices poor business ethics and behave like angry children when they cant take a bad review. Very unprofessional and low class. Buy here if you want because we never actually got the car so we dont know if it was good but based on professionalism alone. Go somewhere else.
