Most of the trouble I was having was based on over use due to my industry. I work in construction, my specific trade can be very taxing on my lower body. Jamie did an incredible job through the whole process. One of my favorite parts was she tailored my treatment, to get me back doing the things I love to do. I like being active, and having my knees go down like that was a real struggle. I'm writing a review on behalf of my father who has been working with Katrina Camus for ~6 months on his cervical spine pain and stiffness. His work as a surgeon has taken a toll on his neck and shoulders, as he spends countless hours in the operating room with his neck craned down in a non-ergonomic position. For the last few years, he has had terrible episodes of upper trapezius spasms with limited range of motion of his cervical spine and shoulders. He would seek treatment for the pain and stiffness with acupuncture and reflexology massages. While these provided "quick fixes" for his pain, they were not ultimately sustaining therapeutic modalities. In January, he was referred to see Katrina for consultation. In their first few sessions together, Kat patiently walked him through a complete, personalized program that emphasized improving periscapular strengthening, cervical spine range of motion, and shoulder flexibility. I have had physical therapy at several places in the last 20 years and Plexus is by far the best one I went to. Chester is very knowledgeable and as I progressed, he was giving me specific exercises that I could easily do at home. He drew a simple sketch of each exercise and then I would practice it. These exercises were very helpful. At every session he spent time massaging the areas that were giving me a problem. My problem areas are my left hip and back. read more

He is kind, caring, smart and just a good human being. A true a Mensch. He has a fairly new office just off the 23 Fwy, LA Ave exit, near Target/Staples in Moorpark, very convenient location, easy parking. He is so unique, originally worked in AeroSpace Engineering and switched to PT, said he got tired of sitting at a desk all day, who could blame him. He is also a Martial Artist (Kung Fu, 4th degree black belt) and just so into movement. He is working with me on my knee, recently messed up in surgery as well as posture etc. he is so knowledgeable gentle and kind and at the same time so humble. Every session is unique and tailor made, he makes it fun. Seems to know some Chinese medicine too and accupressure points, originally from Taiwan. He takes most insurance but I think also has reasonable cash price and has a free initial visit so he can assess if he can help you or not. He also teaches Tai Chi. Getting PT from him is an honor. This is by far the best treatment I've received anywhere. He has so much passion and seems to truly care about what he does and about getting you better. This place is the opposite of being a mill. When I initially met Chester Lin, I was experiencing sever back pain due to stress and weak muscle tone. After being introduced to a few simple muscle toning and conditioning exercises, the pain completely subsided. Within 2 weeks my problem was 100% cured. These simple exercises have now become part of my daily routine, taking no more than 20 - 30 mins per day. Chester Lin and Plexus Physical Therapy is the best-kept secret in Moorpark. I came to Plexus PT because I hurt my back and it would not completely heal up. I kept having this 10% that needed to be fixed. I went to another Physical Therapy office and it seemed to get better, but didn't completely heal. This took 8 weeks and I still had an issue with my back. Then I went to my doctor for a physical, he told me I should try someone else and he told me about Chester at Plexus PT. I was somewhat skeptical, as I just spent 8 weeks at another place, but wanted to get better, so I decided to do whatever it would take. Chester is AMAZING!!! He is extremely knowledgeable, very personable and can explain your questions in terms you can understand with simple examples. When I first entered the office, there is a waiting room with comfortable chairs and magazines to read. You will not be there long, as Chester came and got me to start right away. We began with an evaluation and he asked me what I had tried at the other PT office. We talked about the exercises and stretches the other PT office tried and he said he had an idea of what could be causing this pain. After his evaluation, he had a plan and then we executed it. After the first session, the pain radiating from my back down my leg went from a level 5 to a 1. Chester showed me a set of exercised we did in the office and I was to do them at home before my next appointment. He also worked on my back and we checked everything again at the end of the session. My pain was down to a 1 and I had much greater flexibility after one treatment. My 2nd session began with seeing how my back and pelvis were holding its position. My back and pelvis stayed in really good position, so Chester explained to me that we would work on keeping the position there and continue to strengthen my back and core. Chester worked with me, 1 on 1, showing me how to do the exercises properly and gave me more exercises to do. I was amazed at some of the things he tried that the other PT did not even think of. There was one muscle Chester found that was not working and I was shown an exercise that would reactivate it. He told me I would only need to come back once a week and he would keep increasing the difficulty of the exercised to get me fully healthy. Chester even emailed me the list of exercises to do at home and some links to Amazon to purchase a few pieces of equipment that would really help my body, after I had asked him about other things that would help me during my appointment. After just 2 sessions, I am feeling remarkably better than I felt in 2 months at the other PT office. I am very grateful to Chester and know that I will continue to get better and be completely healed up soon. Chester is the best-kept secret in Physical Therapy. Don't keep this a secret. I had come to Chester with a sprain and dislocation in my wrist. He offered for me to come in twice a day, free of charge, to apply his Chinese ointment to speed healing. My husband has Parkinson's disease which has affected his gait.He has the small shuffling steps which has caused him to fall every so often.His neurologist,Dr Tang, recommended Plexus Physical Therapy but is a little bit of a drive from Simi Valley,where we live. About 2-3 years ago, my husband was going to a Physical Therapy place in Simi Valley. After 12 weeks of therapy, the insurance needed an evaluation/report from the therapist in order for insurance to continue paying. The physical therapist didn't think he was improving at all. So he was without physical therapy for all that time. Dr. Tang recommended we start physical therapy again. He has been very impressed with Plexus after seeing progress on his patients and hearing good reports. Chester has been working on my husband for 6 months now and we have seen the progression on his mobility and strength. Chester is very knowledgeable and patient. Chester provides you the best care and undivided attention. Daniella, Chester's aide has done a great job on gait and mobility exercises, as well. My husband's falling has tremendously been reduced. PT exercises has helped with his depression and cognition. I wished we had known about Plexus 3 years ago. BTW, Tran, the other PT in the office does a great job as well whenever she has to take over for Chester. Don't judge the size of the place and compare it with the other fancy PT places. I've been to several PT offices in Simi, Thousand Oaks, Beverly Hills and Los Angeles areas over the years for various reasons, but Plexus ranks as one of the best. Chester is wonderful, but this review is specifically for Tran. I was already being treated by Chester for car accident injuries. But, when I mentioned that my jaw hurt- Tran said she could fix it. PT for jaw pain aka TMJ? I asked my doctor about PT for TMJ and he said "sure, see if helps." I've had TMJ/jaw pain for over a year now; jaw cracks/pops when you open your mouth, pain & pressure in ears, trouble sleeping, joint pain, headaches. My dentist had made me a night guard for teeth grinding, but that wasn't helping at all. Tran was right- after one session my symptoms were 85% better. By the 4th treatment, pain was gone and I could finally open my jaw with no pain. Tran also taught me simple, yet effective exercises to help keep me pain free. Everyone at Plexus is great and they work as a team, so you get the best treatment and care possible. I highly recommend you give Plexus a try if you ever need physical therapy. read more
