I came across them when I was looking for a physical therapist to heal a tendonitis injury, I was excited to learn that they accepted Medicare as a full payment. That was something I hadn't heard from all the other places I called. My 1st appointment, they were welcoming and super friendly. I definitely felt like I was in the right place. Dave and Eloiza are both very attentive to their clients. I was surprised to see how many patients they helped over the course of an hour. They're focused on the needs of their patients and always making sure they're comfortable and working towards healing their bodies. They know all the names of their clients, welcoming them with conversation. They have easy listening tunes on, while everyone is working hard to gain their mobility again with little timers going off to signal the next strengthening activity. For me, they utilize heat, various exercises with and without weights, electro stimulation, ultrasound, and even massage. I look forward to every appointment. Dave is great at conversation, too. Eloiza is always seen working hard around the office with clients. Dave & Eloiza are a fantastic and competent team. Working hard to help all of their clients and helping patients restore their movements. I always look forward to my appointments. They have a lot of really awesome equipment here for their clients to utilize. Their office is welcoming, bright, with paintings, beautiful greeting cards Ave mugs for sale, and a wonderful 180-degree view of trees from the office. If you're looking for the right PT office, I highly recommend Biomotion PT in Moorpark, behind Target off Miller Parkway.

Unfortunately, after two previous good experiences with Athletic PT, this most recent time isn't going well, and I'm going to be making a change. After Covid, this particular location gave up about half of its previous space, making what remains feel small; even claustrophobic. I don't care for all the patients being almost on top of each other in the back treatment room. Going through physical therapy feels like it should be a private experience, or at least semi-private. At this stage of my life, I don't enjoy being cheek and jowl with other patients. They have also cut the amount of time spent with each patient, which surprised me, and not in a good way. There's also a lot of noise happening - the music is loud, and the therapists and their assistants are making chit-chat talk with each other. It wasn't relaxing to be in that environment. This makes me sound like a crotchety old lady, but I think that a Zen-like environment might be more healing than a Gold's Gym (not to pick on them, per se) kind of work-out shop. When I walked out of the first hands-on appointment I told Dear Hubby that it didn't go very well, and in fact was causing pain in my lower back that I hadn't had when I went in to work on my knee. I spoke with several friends who've been through PT to rehab from surgeries and they urged me to move on if I'm not feeling comfortable. I expect that Athletic PT does good things for many others, but in it's current incarnation, and my current physical state, it's not a good fit for me.

Truly Life-Changing Care for Upper Arm Pain! I highly…read morerecommend Body Mechanix Physical Therapy. When I first came in, I was suffering from severe pain in my upper arm that made simple tasks--like reaching for something in the backseat--excruciating. I was worried I would need to limit some of my activities permanently. From the very first session, my physical therapist (I worked with Taylor) was exceptional. Rather than just giving me generic exercises, she conducted a thorough assessment and created a personalized treatment plan focused specifically on my recovery goals. She explained why certain movements caused pain and educated me on the mechanics of my injury. At the beginning of each of my treatment sessions, Taylor would take the time to listen to any questions or concerns I had on the use of my upper arm before beginning treatment. Then she would measure any progress made from the last session to determine if the treatment plan is working or if she should modify it. The combination of hands-on treatment and targeted exercises led to incredible results. Within several weeks, my upper arm pain was gone, and by the end of my program, I had regained my strength and mobility in the upper arm. I can now reach for anything in the back seat without the excruciating pain. If you are dealing with chronic pain or mobility issues, this is the place to go. Taylor and her team (including physical therapy assistants and receptionists) are professional, compassionate, and truly dedicated to getting your mobility back to 100%.

They and their staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and the environment is wonderful. They all care deeply a out their patients. If I ever have to go to PT again (which I hope I don't) and I'm still in this area, I will DEFINITELY go back. They both took the time to answer questions and told me what they were doing and why. I would HIGHLY recommend them if you need PT services. I remember Taylor telling me that while she was working on me in the beginning, if something hurts, let her know. The movements should be uncomfortable but not be painful.
