So I looked through several spots, and found that Empire painting is so highly rated, and I can verify that they deserve every compliment. They took care of everything as if it were their own, using tape and paper and drop cloths to protect the floors and counters and window glass, and put on two coats over two days because it was Very Dark before. The kitchen now looks fantastic, and feels twice as large and so open. They finished the kitchen exactly when they said, and the price was exactly what was quoted. And then for a bonus! They had a bit of extra time today, and I hired them to paint the walls in a small bedroom....I've newly moved in and it had a musty smell. Steve gave me a good and fair price, and Forrest put on two coats, and Wow! another great job. Everything was left spotless, too, in both areas! So if you are looking for excellent (and friendly) painters who charge a fair price, who do everything they've promised, and make things look great, contact Empire Painting. You can reach Steve, the owner, at (530) 744-4804. (Of course, if he's right in the middle of a job, it might be a few minutes to a couple of hours before he can call you back, depending on what he's doing. But he Always calls back as soon as he can!) Empire Painting is Priceless.

The installer on our project, Ace, is aces!!!!! Very polite and meticulous. He cleaned up the area , every day, while on our shower project too. I hope to have mire projects for them in the future. They're wonderful!!

We hired them for a complete master bathroom remodel: replacing a fiberglass shower insert with a stunning Sentrel shower surround; moving the toilet and the HVAC register from the weird locations the builders chose in 1976; and installing a new vanity, recessed ceiling lights, and exhaust fan. We also had them install the same kind of fan and lights in our front bathroom. William produced one of the most detailed proposals I have ever seen, and subsequent change orders were a breeze, partly because of the project management software system they use, but mostly because their personal communication is stellar. There were a few days that we also had other service professionals working in the house, which meant having to deal with a lot of moving parts, and all of this was occurring in the wake of having lost my father. Heather helped me manage the chaos, providing both professional and emotional support with incredible patience and kindness. I am not sure about the what or when of our next remodeling project, but I am sure about who: Advisor Construction!

Garbage company. I would rate lower than one star if I could and this from a guy that never leaves…read morereviews of companies. There is too much to list here so I'll just go over the highlights. Purchased a home in 2016. Blue prints called for fake dormers on the roof. These are the little pop outs with a window or vent to make it look like the home has a second story. They're pointless and for aesthetic only. They have no structural element and must be hand built on top of the roof once you roll the trusses and install the plywood sheathing. I say all this to illustrate how easy it would've been for Epick to just not build them on the roof. When I requested this, Epick operations manager replied that they 'could not accommodate the request but homeowner could remove them after close of escrow'. So they went forward with the process of building unnecessary fake dormers that their customer didn't want and would've actually made their job easier to eliminate. If someone reading this thinks to themselves, 'well they have to stick to the plans approved by the City of Chico', the City of Chico building department would not care about non-structural parts of a house. If you changed square footage or added windows, they would care. For this, I know for a fact they would not care. Epick refused a simple request for no reason. Other than that issue, there were many more issues with the house I won't go into detail about but their response to these issues was terrible. I had to redo the plumbing under almost every sink. I've had to replace several components on the toilets. The cabinets were chipping after 8 months of living in the house and their response was that our finger nails chipped the paint and their not responsible. We got a second opinion and was told they did a terrible job on the paint and neglected to apply a second coat. I would rent an outhouse before buying another Epick home.

We love our home. We have had warranty issues over the years and Epick has been responsive and taken care of the repairs. Warranty issues are never any fun, having contractors in your home fixing things and your life disrupted. However I do appreciate that the repairs were made. Epick also lets you make changes during the build. We almost went with another local builder but were very limited on what we could personalize. Our only negative has been how crazy the traffic has become on Eaton Road over the years.
