Just finished our new roof and everything looks good. Robert did a great job from estimating to seeing the job through. His crew worked continually through the morning and hot Redding afternoon and didn't leave one evening before 6:00pm. The crew is mostly non-English speakers but I really admire their work and stamina. Roofing is a messy job but in the end everything was neat and clean after the cleanup. Robert was the foreman of our roof. He was prompt and he, along with a crew of hard working guys, tore two roofs off in no time. They replaced sheets of plywood, fascia and cleaned up everything before noon. Inspection was approved with no changes and the roof loaded on day 1. They were out the next morning and new roof finished before noon on day 2. I would recommend them without hesitation. They worked with my insurance company regarding hail damage and fought for everything we were entitled to. Could not be happier. read more

Buyer beware. The people they send out to do estimates are very nice. Then they start the job months later and it's a shit show. Poor execution and very little supervision of workers. The workers don't speak English and they do not communicate well. The project manager on my house was not someone I would have hired. Very seldom at the house making sure the job was done correctly. First night after they finished, there were leaks. They fixed them, but in the process damaged the siding. The main problem was the overcharges - they quote low, but then they add on charges that almost double the original quote. That along with their fix for the ruined siding - they nailed a 1 x 4 x 20 foot board over to cover the damage - its not a good company and I wish I'd known before hiring them. read more

Robert and his crew were great... very upfront and honest... giving me a quote to replace roof but also mentioned it's a older house and could have damage that we can't see... he was very upfront and since I'll out of town... they took time to send pics and explain each step... it was so hassle free and very quickly done... very happy to recommend CBX roofing... even if your an out of town investor!!! read more

My son and I were at the 76/ el delicious burrito by Home Depot and we got in line at the same time as this nice man in a CBX Roofing shirt, we were in no hurry so I told him to go ahead. My son and I were their to buy sodas, candy and chips because he had gotten hurt at school that day and I had to pick him up early, anyway this excellent guy insisted on paying for us and kept telling my boy to get more candy! We said thank you but he's good then he paid for our stuff with a $20 and told the cashier to give the change to my kid!! Only in Redding!!! Robert came out and did some quick repair work on a wind damaged section of roofing, and gave me an estimate for replacing the main roof. I got bids from 4 other roofers and when it was all said and done, only 1 bid was lower. I never go with the lowest bid, nor do I go with the highest bid. The 3 top bids, were all within a couple hundred of each other, and 3 grand higher than Roberts bid. Communication was consistent and timely; the crew was professional, quick and courteous, and cleanup at completion was hassle free and well done. Absolutely give these folks a call. read more

The crew was great as well even though I called them little beavers as they were chopping up the wood on my roof. Contacted this company approximately 5 months ago after several other roofing companies turned me away. They immediately came out and Looked over the roof and quickly provided me with a estimate. After securing the deposit, they continually called and checked in with me to let me know when they would come and start the project, since they were super busy. After setting the construction date they were prompt, professional and helpful. There wasn't any surprises and they completed the job very fast. Cbx was great. Had hail damage and my insurance wanted to cover only half my roof. Folks at CBX pressed them and got them to cover it all. Worked with J and David. Both great. I had this company take off and put a new roof on. They work with my insurance. This company has over charged for the work they did and poor work. It took them 7day to do a job they said it should take 2 days. They gave a quote of 13,852.39 then after work was done they asked for 7856.42 more. That make my roof 21,708.81 for a house that is under 1200sqf. This company has people work for them that does not speak English and had no ID. When asked if they had green card I was told that they are employed with company. Job is done poorly. Was told the crew would be there in the am did not show up tell 4pm slept in the yard tell 8pm work for 1 hour before drink acholol. I had to make the company remove there employees off my property. I am giving CBX roofs a EXCELLENT review because they have been there for us. We had our roof replaced by them about 9 months ago. During the recent storm last week I got on our roof just to see how things were flowing. Just so happens I noticed something shiny in a small hole on one of the shingles. I thought it was an exposed nail. I called CBX roofs and spoke with their wonderful receptionist. Within a few hours, Robert, our original foreman called and cane over immediately. He instantly saw the problem, which was where the solar company workers punctured a tie down point in our roof. Robert and his AWESOME crew of about 10 guys showed up, removed the shingles that were damaged and replaced them. Incredible...I give CBX roofing company 10 stars instead of 5...they deserve it! This company is very unprofessional, if you can't get them to be responsible before they do your roof how can you expect them to be responsible after. RUN Screaming away from this company. They agreed to the amount the insurance quoted for hail damaged, then asked for more. Not a little more, but $13,000 more. My 1300 square foot roof cost over $23,000. If you are reading this, you probably already signed their contract. They don't give you a final amount (which is illegal in Ca.) it will say TBD and when you don't pay they put a lien on your property. They will also put plastic on your roof for the night (it will fall off before they leave the driveway) and charge you $3400.00 that your insurance will most likely not pay for. read more

CBX Roofs in my opinion are incredible. Long story short, after the Carr fire, I noticed a water leak during a rainstorm with the water dripping at the front entryway exterior garage wall extension between the stucco and interior drywall. No stains on the stucco, interior wall or ceiling. I called Wait Roofing given that they had installed the roof, Dan came out, made a of trips to finally discover the source of the leak, only charged me half price for a service call and I was happy...for awhile. During our first rain this season, I noticed the leak had returned. I called Wait Roofing multiple times for more than a month, left messages with the lady who answers the phone, was told she would pass it on, follow up calls indicated they were too busy to help me so I finally ask the lady (who was very nice) to just ask Dan where the leak was located and I would have family or a handyman to silicone the source of the leak. Never got any information from them, so out of frustration, I called a roofing company that I had received mailers from and had seen on TV a couple of times. To my astonishment, I got an immediate response. Harrison Lucero at CBX Roofing came out the same day, inspected the roof, found the problem, sealed it...and didn't even charge me! Who does that??? 5.0 star rating4/11/2020 My wife had called our adjuster from AAA and she called her contact which was Jay from CBX, who came out and got up on the roof to assess the damage. Jay so impressed my wife, that he was so professional and thorough, even recommending an under eave mount on the satelite dish. We had an older roof, and patio covers in the back to do. After his assessment we were impressed enough to go forward with CBX. Redding area wide is experiencing a tremendous backlog of roofing jobs due to the sheer volume of claims. Everytime we called, our questions were answered, With the sheer volume areawide, (some roofers told us 6 or 7 months to a year) we expected some delays and shifting of the schedule due to weather here this time of year, and some customers getting upset to the point they had to take care of them immediately to avoid the loss of business. But, we were scheduled and rain cancelled the schedule for a few weeks in a row. My wife called back double checking when a break in the weather approached. Dave the project manager called back and told us it was go. Neri and the crew showed up before 7 am the next morning and with professional precision did an amazing job taking off the old roofing material, getting the ridgetop ready for a ridgetop vent installation. And tarped the top ridges until the building inspector came out and made sure any rotted wood or bad vents were replaced. The crew cleaned up the entire ground area around the house when done the first day. The shingles and ridgetop vent and supplies were delivered the second day and final preparations were done including replacing the plywood where the satelite dish used to be mounted working into the night till finished with prep work. The third and final day Neri and the crew showed up and did an amazing job metal sheathing, ridgetop vent installation, shingles. Never ever saw anyone slacking off. It was amazing to watch them. The roof looks amazing and Neri came out the next day and got up on the roof to double and triple check it. We couldn't be happier with CBX's professional job and our new roof, along with new matching patio covers that don't leak anymore and look way better than the original covers. First rate. I would not hesitate to refer friends and relatives to them. read more

my roof was damaged...hail storm. cbx (tyler) called me and asked if they could put on a new roof, and they would communicate with insurance. they had all insurance papers and inspected roof. this was fall of 2019. tyler could not put roof on in the fall..too busy. asked if i would call in the spring that he had all papers. i called in may to set appt. and drove over 4 hours to appt. tyler was 20 minutes late to appt. and when he arrived...lost all of my information and paperwork. he said it was 6 months and the paperwork was discarded...after he knew we were going to meet in the spring. had to start from scratch. my voice changed in octaves....tyler then refused to work for me. never again. read more

If I could give CBX Roofs zero stars I would. Or negative stars, even better. That would be a rating they deserve. Please do yourself a favor and do not use this company. They are by far the most inept roofing company I have ever dealt with. They tore my roof off, shingles and felt, tarped half of it and....just left. Didn't bother to tell me when they were going to come back. Unfortunately it rained later that day. With only half of my roof tarped, rain water leaked into my house and garage. They told me they never expected it to rain (it was April, so it's not unheard of) and they stated that the only reason they tarped ANY of my house was so they could take pictures for the insurance company. Initially they agreed to compensate me for the damage that the rain did to my house and garage interior. But, after weeks of trying to get them to make good on that promise, I got no where. Phone calls and voicemails were ignored. Finally I realized that my only recourse was to take them to small claims court. I won a judgement against CBX but a month later, unsurprisingly, they have not contacted me about it, or made payment. I also found out that they never bothered to get the roof permit finalled with the county. I paid for the county to come out myself, and they said they couldn't final the permit because CBX did substandard work. Owners are some brothers with the last name of "Romney", out of Utah. They are operating in California and appear to be doing so without a proper business license. Please, do yourself a favor and do not use this company. They are liars, do shoddy work, and will think nothing of damaging your property. read more

CBX contacted us about a free estimate. We made an apptn. When we were out of town they showed up at our home and called to see if they could look at the roof. Our security camera showed they were already on our roof! The sales guy was Very charming. Signed the estimate and it went down hill from there. This company has NO communication skills. The roofers dont speak english. They dropped a water bottle down our stove pipe and never said a thing. We had to replace the fan due to the bottle bending it up. When we went to hand deliver payment they gave me the address only to go there and find out they had moved. When I called. the person I spoke to didnt even know they moved. When I went to the other office the girls didnt know how to print a receipt. We had to call to have them pick up extra materials after approx. 6 weeks of sitting in our driveway. They dont give an itemized bill. They said one panel of wood was free which they charged but wouldnt respond as to where the rotten wood was replaced. When you call to ask questions its either no answer or a new person every time. I would not use them again or recommend them. read more

Horrible horrible company ! We used them to replace our roof and they came out and gave us an estimate to do 11 squares of our roof because we already had 9 squares replaced on our roof . So cbx was replacing a little over half . We had it all written down for them to only replace half . We got the 5k from our insurance to replace it and when they came they didn't do the right color we chose and they decided to replace the other half that was already replaced . They then went to our insurance and tried to get another 7k because they needed more money for materials ok the half They accident replaced when they weren't supposed to Because they can't do follow simple instructions! We've tried calling them since and the lady who answered was extremely rude and had horrible customer service . We've called at least 10-15 times and now they won't answer or return our calls !
