Now when I mentioned it to the staff they did offer me a room a few doors down but that room did not smell a whole lot better.....apparently nothing else was available. As other reviewers have noted, every room needs its own dehumidifier. Carpets should get ripped out and air conditioners checked for mold. This is a health hazard and made our stay much more unpleasant than we expected.

Right outside your door they have chairs and tables for enjoying the beautiful weather. They also have grills and an area for bonfires. I was only able to go to the communal area/lobby for the first morning as it was soon closed as they were started to do contactless check in/out. But it seems as though in less COVID-y times they have some coffee or tea there, light breakfast items like mini muffins or breakfast bars and fruit. They also had a communal puzzle and board games. Overall the place is super cozy, perfectly situated for a relaxing vacation with a number of restaurants and small shops to visit in Baraboo.

I was able to sleep in, read, sit on the porch and watch the deer, and wander the area and property taking photographs. For someone who works 7 days a week, this was a wonderful respite and time with nature. The owners were helpful and kind. Read the FAQs, don't expect to be fed a whole lot to do--that's really not the point. I look forward to returning some day to experience what it's like in a different season and explore other roads and little gems in the Driftless.

There weren't a lot of instructions on where to find the remotes to the various electronics including the fan and the wifi did not work at all. The firewood was a bit expensive at 10$ per bundle. It was a small cozy little cottage and the owners made sure it had all the things you might need for a weekend getaway. The cabins are set in the beautiful hilly area of Driftless of Wisconsin and has absolutely stunning views. Might fo back to try a different cabin.

It took until 3am to cool our room down. There was a smell of cat urine on our bed. Both myself and my husband had puffy, itchy eyes, sneezing and stuffy noses since we are allergic to cats. I talked to the manager who stated he's never had any complaints and wouldn't do anything about it.
