I'm a dancer and had some pretty tough knots in my legs, so she had her work cut out for her. I chose the 90 mins because of my extensive knots. I'll definitely be going back and will be recommending to friends.

You can imagine how over the moon I was to find this place in lil' Rhody. Thai massages are dry massages and involve a lot of gentle stretching and some acupressure. I typically leave energized and not sleepy. The massage quality is at par with what one would expect for this modality. I have no complaints here. The only setback is the service rate. This place, perhaps due to lack of competition, is pricey. This has prevented me from coming regularly. That said, if you've never had a Thai massage before and are curious about what makes it different--while not planning to visit Thailand soon, or any other state where there are more spas offering this service--then do visit Thai Tranquility Bodywork. It's worth being familiar with Thai massage, and this place does a good job.

I've never understood why New England doesn't have more of a spa culture, so I'm genuinely glad…read morethis place exists - and overall, it's quite good! If I weren't a bit biased from being spoiled by Canadian and West Coast Korean spas, I'd probably give it 5+ stars. I love that there's a cold plunge, plenty of relaxation rooms, an unlimited stay, and massage chairs. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the facilities feel clean and well maintained. A few minor improvements would really take this place to the next level: - The steam rooms and hot saunas could be hotter. - The cost is steep. I fully understand that my expectations are colored by $30 West Coast spas, but a slightly lower price point would make frequent visits easier to justify. - The locker room/wet area was very loud. I appreciate that conversation is allowed, but the volume made it hard to fully relax. I'm not sure there's an easy fix without acoustic upgrades. - The Korean food was disappointing, especially for the price. - This is very personal preference, but I do enjoy the traditional no-bathing-suits culture. Most women were wearing bathing suits, which made me feel a bit self-conscious being the only one without. Totally on me, but worth mentioning if you're expecting a more traditional spa experience. Overall, I'm happy to have a spa like this in the area and hope it continues to improve. If you've never tried a spa like this before, I highly encourage giving it a shot!!

I have such a "love-hate" relationship with Spalight. When they first opened, this place was an…read moreabsolute dream--meticulously clean, welcoming, and my go-to spot to totally reset. Unfortunately, the facility has hit a bit of a decline lately. What used to be impeccably dry, clean floors are now prone to dust and hairballs, and it's gotten so wet in the wet sauna areas that they've just started putting out "caution" signs instead of actually keeping it dry. I've seen quite a few people slip. Even the "unlimited" towel perk has been downgraded to a strict two-towel limit, and the food portions and quality have shrunk exponentially compared to the cost they charge it at. That being said, there is one major saving grace: the Korean auntie who does the body scrubs. She is an absolute legend and deserves a massive raise for everything she puts up with! She's the main reason the experience still feels somewhat authentic and worth driving to. The rooms are also on the smaller side, so if you go during peak hours, it's definitely more "crowded" than "calm." Honestly, the only reason I still make the trip is that it's the only K-spa within a reasonable driving distance from Boston. If there were more local options, I'd probably skip the decline here and head straight to NJ or NYC for a higher-quality experience. It's still a decent option if you're desperate for a scrub and a soak without the four-hour drive, but I really miss the high standards they had at the beginning.

In order to relieve the pain and keep living healthy and happy I must have a very deep tissue massage often. I've bounced around for years trying different therapists all over RI and MA. More than three years ago I was introduced to Beth-Ann the owner of Massage on Main and she recommended I give her therapist Bill N. a try. I'm sure some guys feel weird about getting a massage from another guy, but I don't. Bill is extremely strong and can go very deep in the areas I need him to. I see him every week for an 1 1/2 hours and I he allows me to live basically pain free. If your looking for deep tissue work Bill is the best therapist I've had in 15 years. A+++ Thank you Massage on Main!!

I've been seeing Bill N. for over 2 years now, weekly if I can. I have always had a lot of muscle…read moretension, and my job involved a lot of physical labor, so my neck and shoulders, especially, ached and hurt and cramped pretty much every day by the time I'd been awake a couple of hours. Seeing Bill regularly is the difference between "aching almost all the time" and "I'm kinda sore at the end of my workday, but I'll be fine tomorrow." He's adaptable, asking before each session if there are specific areas he should concentrate on, and he's happy to skip an area that you don't feel you need much work on -- for example, we mostly stopped doing the mid-back, though he asks each time, because sometimes I want a bit of light work -- so he can spend more time on other areas that need attention -- in my case, the whole ring around the shoulder blades, which I'd never even thought of as something that would benefit from massage, but boy was I wrong! Also of note: I have a trauma history, and the PTSD and hypervigilance that goes along with that, especially regarding being touched. In all the time I've seen Bill, nothing has triggered me, which is remarkable. He's professional but easy-going, and I have come to feel like, when I am there, my body is kind of a complex, important machine that requires regular maintenance to work effectively.
