While visiting my friend, he was insistent we go to this local market as they have the best burritos in town. Plaza Wenatchee is a latin goods market that serves the large and seemingly growing Latin population in the city, foods and goods that may be relagated to an aisle at say the safeway a mile or so down the road. They have canned goods, beer and decorations among other things. Of course, however they have a food counter which was the purpose of our visit. My friend insisted we go here for burritos, but for me I was to have the Plaza Wenatchee special - the Cheeto burrito. Simple, a beef burrito, stuffed with spicy Cheetos. The burrito itself was large and as promised stuffed with beef and Cheetos, giving it a crunch in almost every bite. Nothing life changing, but a solid burrito for sure. If you happen to be out this way and craving a burrito, make it a Cheeto Burrito. read more

Love their breakfast burritos and highly recommend their tacos, burritos or quesabirrias. Always great service, convenient drive through and indoor seating. On a side note, they make tortillas and these are the best out there, soft, delicious and without all those preservatives you normally find on most of the brands. read more

The sweet bread options here are limited, but some of the other things available help this place get a solid 3 star rating. The burritos here are pretty decent, but a little overloaded with rice. Though the flavors are good, including the salsa, they could use more meat. The staff is friendly and willing to help answer any questions you might have. The agua fresca is good and not overly sweet, but it tastes like it's made from powder and not necessarily fresh. In general, it's better than taco bell in authentic flavors, but TB might be a quicker and cheaper option. read more

I come here all the time! I like coming in the drive thru because I have a new baby and I don't want to take her in and out of the car all the time, especially for a short little thing. This makes it great for me because I can eat a little something but it doesn't have to be nasty fast food. I like getting the killer taco and the 4 taco plate for a big meal. I just get the killer taco if I want a big snack. Salsas are not spicy for those of you that are sensitive to that. If you like extra spice, ask for extra salsa for sure. read more

We were in Wenatchee searching for fresh flour tortillas. Yes, I know, flour tortillas are American/Mexican, not authentic Mexican, but I've been to carceneria's all over the west and southwest and they're usually not hard to find. We never found them in Wenatchee, but Plaza Wenatchee did have homemade corn tortillas which are pretty good. We purchased that and some ensalada de camarones for our little picnic. We also purchased some homemade salsa that was marked mild, Hahahahaha... mild like a truck load of habaneros! However, it's still good. I was a little surprised by this and the other carceneria that we visited because though Wenatchee has a large Latino population, both stores were not only pretty empty of merchandise, but also of people. . I guess Walmart's even doing its damage to the charming carcenerias. All in all it was a good experience. read more

After I reviewed this establishment, the owner was nice enough to contact me, yet he questioned my competency. I appreciate the effort to an extent. We did take-out last night. The pica de gallo which was touted as hot didn't have any jalapenos in it, only tomatoes, onions and cilantro-boring! The ceviche was not very tasty and even though it had fresh shrimp in it, they had supplimented with canned shrimp, which just made it taste canned. The tamales were made with dry crumbly masa. The chicken tamale had dry unseasoned chicken in it, and some kind of gravy from another dish on one end and the jalapeno tamale had 1/2 jalapeno and some long tubular "thing" that was uncutable, which was how I first discovered it. Great locally owned taqueria and grocery! We love their tacos de adobado (seasoned pork). I get the salsa on the side because I'm a wimp with heat and extra limes to squeeze on the tacitos.
