Excellent! We really needed Mexican food, after trying a place in Pybus Market with tomato not chili based enchilada sauce, we just needed something authentic. Only a couple blocks from the Hilton (0.4 miles) The restaurant is small but has seating. We just wanted take out, it was fast, and they asked and included utensils. When traveling this is usually a problem. 4 basic carne asada tacos were perfect little street tacos, although my husband then wanted more afterwards it was enough food with the free chips and salsa. They gave us 3 types of salsa. 1 was to bland for us, I loved the verde and my husband loved the spicy red roja. Seems like something for everyone! I had the pork, el pastor, quesadilla and the pastor's sauce really just made this perfect once I removed the lettuce, sour cream and guacamole that I asked for, because I don't like it on top, added my green salsa and ate it with chips! Before I mention anything else, I just want everyone to know that this is a CASH ONLY establishment. Lucky for us, the server was very understanding and informed us of nearby ATM locations. Just from looking at the menu, I believe that the prices are very fair for the area. Most of the dishes are below $10. Just a note, there is complimentary chips and salsa to start your meal. At Taco Loco, the chips and salsa are typical, but welcome. I'll take free food any day. On this trip, my boyfriend and I ordered 5 Carne Asada tacos ($1.99/taco) and a Taco Loco Platter ($11.99). This was quite a lot of food for the two of us. The tacos are a a good size and come with cilantro, onion, red sauce, lime, and radish. The toppings were very fresh. The corn tortilla held the taco together well and was soft. The tacos were loaded with plenty of tender and seasoned meat. So far, these tacos have been my boyfriend's favorite. The Taco Loco Platter has a lot of food for the price. The shrimp and bacon were cooked well, and paired well together. The carne asada was tender and cooked just right. Everything else on the plate (rice, beans, guac, etc) was pretty standard, but tasty. Taco Loco is a little bit small. So, just be aware. This isn't really a location to take a huge group. The largest table size would probably fit 4-6 people, depending on how you would fit in a booth. Very nice people, good food, and a nice treat in the Wenatchee Valley. read more

Passing through Wenatchee during lunch time and decided I needed some tacos. Fired up the Yelp app on my iPhone and top result given was Taco Loco. Sounds crazy, but I'm game! Located on the main drag (Wenatchee Ave) this place is a tiny hole in the wall. Not more than 6-8 tables inside. The waitress was very friendly and spoke english well. I ordered two Super Tacos w/ carne asada and one Chili Relleno. The tacos live up to the name, they are large! Once I uncovered them from the pound of lettuce they were buried in I was ready to start. Excellent corn tortillas and carne asada was juicy and well seasoned. I also enjoyed the chili relleno, who doesn't like egg and cheese?! Will definitely be back once in town next time and need that taco fix! read more

As noted by other reviews. This is a CASH only resturaunt. (Thanks yelpers!) We found this place based on other yelp reviews. Arrived with my two under 6 boys and we were greeted and immediately directed to the last available table. The host was super freindly and was patient as my boys explained it was our guys night out. We were immediately given fresh tortilla chips with salsa. Ordered waters for the boys and I could resist the glass bottled coke. (no fountain drinks). The boys split a plate of nachos and I had the Fajita platter (pictured). The food was made to order and my boys loved being able to see their food being made. We had the booth right by the grill. My fajitas were very good and my boys loved the guacamole that came with their nachos. To sum it all up: The service was great. Food was solid and the atmosphere was enjoyable. A little gem of a Mexican restaurant in Wenatchee. Unlike the Americanized Mexican food that you'll find elsewhere in Wenatchee (La Fuente), Taco Loco is the real deal. Not heavy on the cheese or sour cream and the sauces are extremely good. Seafood - which is a Mexican delicacy - is presented prominently on the menu. Try the camarones al diabla (shrimp of the devil). The burritos are the best non-seafood choice. But the prices are just amazing for what you get. There's hardly a dish that breaks the $10 barrier - and for $8.95, one generally gets a huge plate of food with extremely fresh-tasting ingredients. If you reside in Wenatchee or are just visiting, you owe it to yourself to check out this place. Had the wet burrito and my girl had the verde burrito. We each took some home and split a fried ice cream and walked out spending $20..... Yum! I got 3 quesa birria tacos for $10! They didn't look or taste like quesa birria tacos! Store bought tortilla like the ones used for mini tacos! The consome looked just like water and oil splashed in it! Not enough cheese! Meat was very dry and tasteless! I'm very disappointed.! First and only time coming here! Not worth my $10! If I could give a zero star review I would. This place is legit disgusting. The waitress was nice. However, the food was heated in a microwave. I know this because my Brother-in-law saw the cook tossing around his cooking utensils as if he was really cooking. He witnessed the cook reheating carne asada tacos in a microwave. This is gross and lazy. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I am a mexican myself, and I am mortified and embarrassed that my people would serve people this foolishness. How does this place even have good ratings and reviews? Needless to say, the ice for the soft drinks came from a cooler under the register. Taco Loco is one of my favorite stops in Eastern Washington. I am absolutely in love with all food on the menu. You could order anything in here and be happy with it. Although the Super Burrito is one of my favorites. Their chips and salsa pair nicely with an ice cold horchata after snowboarding in Snoqualmie. I come back every year and I am never disappointed. I read the reviews and was looking forward to this. I was not happy. The taco was bland and greasy. My carne asada was tough and chewy. The guacamole was runny and flavorless. My wife's fajitas were cooked to a tough and chewy texture with no flavor other that butter. The staff was nice a friendly, but I went for the food. We stopped by Wenatchee on our way back from Chelan to have an early dinner at Taco Loco. Absolutely worth the short detour into town. I got 2 Super Tacos (carnitas and carne asada); my friend got the Taco Loco platter (bacon, prawns, carne asada) . While the tacos were pretty dang good, large, tasty and filling, trust the Yelp reviews on this one and get the seafood. The prawns in the Taco Loco platter were perfectly cooked: so juicy and tender. Yum-o! The rice beans and corn tortillas were pretty good too. The carne asada was flavorful, though a tad on the tough side. I think it went better shredded inside the tacos. Taco Loco takes cash only, so be prepared. Prices were very reasonable. This little hole in the wall Mexican joint is pretty great. I've tried the tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. Next time I go I'll try something more interesting. The fish tacos were pretty incredible too but they are a bit saucy. If your not a saucy person you might wanna ask for it on the side. They serve beers too but you can't drink them on the patio. I have been visiting this restaurant off and on now for over 15 years. Last night I came in for a nice meal and had the super burrito with chicken. The food here is great and the salsa has some kick to it-if the spiciness doesn't get your attention, then it is not salsa! I have favorites here. Steak fajitas, super burritos, fish burritos, fish tacos. When it comes to customer interaction, this restaurant is tops. I have met the owner (wife but not husband-wife probably the sweetest woman on the planet...and so happy) and the son and daughter. Located at the south end of town right next to a tattoo parlor, Taco Loco is pretty darn authentic Mexican food! Like the other Yelper stated, if you like cheese and sour cream.. this isn't the place for you. It was voted as one of Wenatchee's favorite economical spots in 2009. Customer service was good, the waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was delicious and the chips and salsa were excellent! Why the four star rating you ask? The parking sucks!! I am amazed this restaurant has so many good ratings. "Hole in the wall" mexican is always amazingly good, but I can honestly say I have never had worse mexican food!!! I had a ten dollar lunch: chile relleno, pork tamale and rice and beans. The chile relleno had been deep fried and was covered in grease. I ate a couple of bites and left it alone. The tamale was dry and awful. Beans and rice had no flavor, the pile of plain lettuce weird. The chips tasted like bad beef, so I assume they haven't cleaned the grease in a while. I kept wondering if I am going to get sick. The waitress was nice, but I was the only one in the place, and she wouldn't come get my money and make change. This is a quality over quantity Mexican restaurant. My partner and I found ourselves in Wenatchee after some fun in Leavenworth. We consulted yelp, and yelp you did not fail us! I ordered some kind of three enchilada dish. It had a chicken, pork, and beef enchilada. They were smaller than the enchiladas from other restaurants but much tastier. The green salsa on top was amazing. My partner got a shrimp burrito. The vegetables inside were very fresh, the sauces perfect, and the shrimp delicious.
