The colours are gorgeous and warm and the huge organ looming over the stage is impressive as heck, I'd love to hear it played. As a venue for a market, it was perfect as well. Not too chilly inside, nice lighting for looking at lovely handmade goods, and spacious enough for crowds to explore without feeling claustrophobic. I'll definitely look out for other opportunities to see shows in this beautiful heritage building on Queen's University campus.

This particular Holiday Inn is located close to the 401, across the way from the King's Crossing Fashion Outlet and on the other side, there's a Shoppers and a bunch of other chain restaurants. In order to get to downtown Kingston, it is about a 10min drive. Not really walkable, imho. Inn is relatively small, not a tall building, maybe about 5-storeys in height. Facilities appear newly renovated. Some rooms were brighter, larger than others, but decor/set-up are more or less the same. They also had a pool that I wished I had known about before my visit! Breakfast Buffet is also included in the stay. Food options were plentiful, nothing bad at all. Immediate parking with minimal fees.

We booked…read morerelatively last minute and they still managed to accommodate our request for an accessibility room. Robel checked us in and he was extremely friendly and fun to chat with. What an awesome guest services agent to have at their front desk. Shannon helped us quickly check out in the morning and though it was a quick interaction, it was very friendly. Perfect way to end the short stay! The room we got was really lovely. Beds were totally clean, no stains on the sheets or mystery hair. I was very surprised at the level of cleanliness in all areas of the room to be honest. Their beds are super comfortable. I actually managed to get a really good night's sleep. I love the shampoo, conditioner, etc brand they use. It was not too heavily scented. I also love seeing that they mount the entire bottle into the shower area so it's as little waste as possible. No more little plastic travel bottles!!! Love the eco initiative there. The only reason for the missing star is because the towel bars were super dusty and the shower head was covered in limescale. Water pressure was lacking quite a bit It's probably very hard water they have too, so part of housekeeping routine should be to occasionally do a vinegar soak of the fixtures. 100% would return if we're in the Kingston area.

We had enough Marriott Rewards to stay on points, so we ended up there, and I'm so glad we did. The location is right off the highway (401) and in the King's Crossing Outlet Mall. There's free parking and it's not that far of a drive to downtown. Our room was really spacious, modern looking and was clean (I wiped down all hard surfaces with Lysol wipes when I arrived and the wipes came out white (not all dirty and grey). I loved the way the room was laid out and the decorations. The coffee table was a set of 2 nesting tables, the table that the TV was on slid in and out, and there was a cute corner table. I liked that there was a night table on both sides of the bed and each side had a plug. There's a microwave, coffee maker and fridge. The fridge is small and does not have a freezer. Free internet was reliable. Staff were nice and efficient. There's a pool and fitness centre, but we did not check out either one. No free breakfast, but there's a restaurant in the lobby of the hotel. There's also a Boston Pizza across the parking lot and a Panera Bread across the street. I would definitely consider staying here again.

As an avid lane swimmer, this pool just doesn't cut it. I will admit that I'm used to 10 or 12…read morelanes versus 6. For one, there's way too few lanes and too many people "scheduled" to use them. One minute you're swimming along the next minute there's two other people in your lane! You don't need three people in a lane if there are other lanes that only have one person in it. I watched as this happened to several lanes where the people had to stop swimming to figure out what was going on because the people that joined their lane weren't really swimming in a circle. They were kind of trolling along. And that's not what lane swimming is for. It's ridiculous. You can't Get in a decent swim if you're having to stop and wait for people to move along. Finally, why do I have to "check in" at the desk if I have registered, only to have to then go scan my card to enter. I was told I had to do this. but then there were patrons who said that I didn't have to do it. Also, the availability times are extremely limited. They need more times in the afternoon between 2 and 5 PM.
