As an avid lane swimmer, this pool just doesn't cut it. I will admit that I'm used to 10 or 12 lanes versus 6.
For one, there's way too few lanes and too many people "scheduled" to use them. One minute you're swimming along the next minute there's two other people in your lane! You don't need three people in a lane if there are other lanes that only have one person in it. I watched as this happened to several lanes where the people had to stop swimming to figure out what was going on because the people that joined their lane weren't really swimming in a circle. They were kind of trolling along. And that's not what lane swimming is for. It's ridiculous. You can't Get in a decent swim if you're having to stop and wait for people to move along.
Finally, why do I have to "check in" at the desk if I have registered, only to have to then go scan my card to enter. I was told I had to do this. but then there were patrons who said that I didn't have to do it.
Also, the availability times are extremely limited. They need more times in the afternoon between 2 and 5 PM. read more
