A year later, I got to bring my baby back to that exact spot where I had my maternity shoot, which made it even more special. They also have an awesome playground for toddlers and up, with a super cute farm theme, and everything is kept in impeccable condition. It's a beautiful, spacious park, and they have a large dog park too. One thing to note: the park has two separate sides, so plan accordingly when you visit.

The park itself had ample parking spaces. And the facilities there were clean and well maintained. There were various trails that's away from the main paved path. These side trails were nicely shaded and eventually leads back on the main path. The historic farm structures like the main house, farmhouse, side house and its outhouse are still erect. That's the charm of this place with the well groomed flower garden that someone upkeeps. The old and new altogether. As you wander the park, you forget you're in the heart of Duluth where shopping and restaurants galore await you. Because while you're talking around (and trying not to sweat to death during the summer), you'll hear the summer insects buzzing. It literally reminded me of my childhood during the summers hearing the loud insects buzz away.

Located pretty hidden from…read morethe main roads on Collins Hill Park, this park is pretty close to Collins Hill High School so you'll occasionally see the high school students playing basketball (yes they do have a basketball court) or do some training. This park is huge, and it has a lot of facilities, including a basketball court and a semi-beautiful lake/creek you can look at while you're taking a jog/walk. What I really like about this park is that it has a trail that's really similar to a hike; it's not paved roads and it's kind of in the backyard-ish area, so you'll see inclines and it really feels similar to a hike. Every time I record a jog, I see that one full lap around the entire trail is 1.4 miles, so it's a pretty great place to work out. I come here with my mom pretty frequently to get jogs when I'm getting tired of Rock Springs Park (another great park), but this is another great 5-star hidden gem park that's worth checking out!

But what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! What I thought would be a simple morning walk quickly became a full experience of art, community, and nature. The park is beautifully designed, offering something for every type of visitor. Wide walking and hiking paths weave through the grounds, inviting you to slow down and enjoy the scenery. Families can enjoy the spacious playground, athletes can hit the sand for a game of beach volleyball, and history buffs will appreciate the thoughtful and moving Army Memorial - Greater good by Michael Szabo. It's the kind of space that effortlessly blends recreation with reflection. While strolling, I had a great chat with one of the friendly groundskeepers who told me about the Saturday farmers market, as well as seasonal concerts and food trucks that make the park come alive with energy, music, and flavors. It's clearly more than just a park--it's a gathering place where the community comes together. As an art lover, the sculpture garden was the highlight of my visit. The pieces are striking, and I found myself particularly drawn to Esther and Miles, two incredible works by Olu Amoda of Smyrna, GA. The way he transforms recycled metal into such expressive, beautiful forms is nothing short of inspiring. Town Center Park is more than a patch of green space--it's an experience. Whether you're here to exercise, enjoy art, take the kids out to play, or immerse yourself in community events, you'll leave refreshed, inspired, and wondering why you didn't visit sooner.

Tucked right at the…read morecorners of Roswell, Alpharetta, and Johns Creek is this spacious park with access to the Chattahoochee River, a bunch of little trails, and even a little bit of history. I read some of the info posted along the paths near the fountains and learned that Roswell actually used to be part of Cobb County. I had no idea and found that really interesting having just moved here to Georgia earlier in the year. They had some other facts about the area and history on that part of the river too. What was great about this park was that it was pretty dead on a weekday morning. A lot of other parks are usually busy at this time, since we are still going thru the pandemic of course. I think we only saw one other person on the trail (with plenty of room to distance) and one other person parked in a car off to the side of the trail. We enjoyed the seclusion. I liked everything about the park - the gazebo and fountain area, the view of the river down the trail, the historical value, etc. Just a nice place to exercise or go to relax. I hope to be back soon.

Because this place is a hidden masterpiece. Forget your typical neighborhood park. This one comes with legit hiking trails, two full pavilions, a playground, restrooms (yes, clean ones), picnic tables, grills, and even a fishing pier. And let's not ignore the fact that it's dog-friendly with waste stations--translation: no excuses not to bring your four-legged buddy. But here's the kicker: the Storybook Trail. If you've got kids and you haven't walked this trail, you're flat-out cheating them out of something magical. Giant trees shade the path, beams of sunlight slip through the canopy, and page by page a story unfolds as you hike. It's part exercise, part fairytale, and completely unforgettable. The nature trail is an easy 1.33 miles--perfect for a quick adventure that doesn't feel "quick." The talking trail is another, that you absolutely cannot miss. I'm already planning my return trip with my husband and son for fishing off the pier. This park is hiding in plain sight, and honestly, if you live nearby and haven't been, you're doing yourself a disservice. Stop driving past it. Stop ignoring it. Go.

So, I do feel that the trails could be better marked with not just green or red markers, but also with arrows. There are crank machines along the way that let you listen to information about the trees and animals that you might see in the woods. We did see a doe! Peachtree ridge showed up so I headed on over I was expecting, well, nothing, but I was met with a very well taken care of park complete with a really nice park long paved trail (i'm not quite sure how much the mileage is, but it couldn't have been more than a mile) I like that along the walking trail there are nice hills in places and there's some natural shade from all the trees. Venture towards the front of the park and there's a kid's play area and restroom area (clean restrooms fyi)j Walk deeper into the trail and it opens up to the "sports" portion of the park with a really nice football field, track around the football field and a basketball court a little bit away from those. Tons of parking, and seemingly vacant mid day, which surprises me, but at the same time makes me happy that there isn't so much foot traffic. Favorite park? No, but it definitely is a place i'll be visiting quite often.
