Came here on invitation from family member. Nothing fancy, lil place w/ patio seating. A bit runned down. I will say beer was cold & offered a bucket stand away from table (nice touch 4 stars) It's a shame you have to pay for salsa & chips including refills! (Thumbs down) Service was ok, it's hard taking care of a large party plus other tables. I'll give it a pass, server was nice & tried. Appetizers were delicious (shrimp ceviche/camarón picado & Camarones Sarandeados) chili sauce was, tasty, buttery & spicy) we Loved it! Although did pay for every refill had over 4 between our party. I ordered an entree consisting of shrimp sautéed w/ peppers, onions, garlic & topped w/ melted cheese. Served w/ rice, beans & salad. The entree had no flavor, perhaps a pinch of salt, more garlic & squeeze of lemon. Rice was mushy. Refried beans were the star of the show! Overall entree gets a 2 & beans 5. Small parking lot in back via a narrow entrance. People double park so your car may get trapped. Back patio with loud pumping music. Indoor dining area with big screen TV. Mariachi band came in to solicit, $15 for the three gentlemen to sing at your table. A small area to the side that sells to go food. Tables are packed with chairs for large parties up to 9 in the indoor dining area. Complimentary chips and salsa, very tasty- chips are perfectly crispy. Mixto had imitation crab which killed the taste. Would rather they skip the imitation crab, then it would've been amazing. Loved the aguachile the most, totally recommend. Asked for extra lime to cook the shrimp a bit. Staff was helpful and friendly. Very fun loud vibes. read more

This place gets the job done. It's not a 3 but not a 4. The aguachiles were pretty good and the ceviche de pescado. Everything else was "lemony" which I love and the vibes were typical Mariscos spot vibras. The server was friendly and it was pretty quick so overall it's a 3.5. First time visitor. The restaurant is small but you're not on top of each other. You seat yourself. They have a mini fish market attached to the restaurant. They have a back patio that was quaint and the Dodger game was on. They have músicos walking around. We ordered the pozole, it was good and hearty. Tasted homemade. We had the ceviche de pescado. Yum! Tastes fresh and it was a good serving size for one person. I ordered a taco de asada that was served on a handmade tortilla. The taco was not hearty but the meat had good flavor. We ordered two micheladas, Corona and Modelo, which tasted good as well. Our waitress was less than interested in her job. She wasn't rude but she wasn't attentive. The place was busy but I didn't see any order to her waiting style. She didn't make her rounds to all her tables, which resulted in us finishing our food before we could order another michelada or drink. We sat around waiting for the check after we piled up our plates. Once we provided our card I had to get up and go sign for it because our waitress was no where to be found. Not a deal breaker, and I will be back because the food was great and I'm interested in experiencing the back patio. I am usually more assertive and would have asked for more service and drinks, but I wanted to get a feel for the place and I wanted to see how its genuinely is ran. It use to be good and not that expensive but now they put a lot of cucumber in the ceviche so I don't know what there charging the cucumber or the shrimp ? Service: We didn't eat there, however, the girl in the cashier booth was very friendly, informative and cordial. Ambiance: Busy as it was Father's Day, crowded and loud. (4:15 pm) Food: Horrible! I ordered ceviche trays to go. It appeared a lot of people were ordering trays to go and thus they ran out of prepared seafood. The reason why it was horrible is because by the time my order got filled, they prepared my seafood with RAW fish and RAW shrimp and didn't bother to inform me! I wanted to eat my food within a 40 min. time frame (trip to get home). When I opened up the trays I had to cut up the 1" fish pieces into smaller pieces and noticed the fish was RAW. I opened the shrimp tray and the shrimp hadn't been chopped. It was full size and they only sprinkled sliced red onion and cucumber slices on top. NO AVOCADO. This isn't how the pictured trays are displayed. P.N. If you don't have enough prepared and ready to eat food, then it would only be proper to inform your clientele. I suppose taking people's money is more important AND putting them at risk for a health illness. Possibly food poisoning. Plan B: Pick up seafood ceviche elsewhere to feed the family on Father's Day. This place has a great outdoor patio in the back of the restaurant and of course it also has indoor seating. The restaurant looks small from the street view but it's actually pretty big. It does have a small parking structure in the back but most likely you will have to find street parking. Their menu does have a large selections of items to pick from which is a plus. They are most known for their zarandeado fish. I decided to try their tostada mixta and also an order of their Callo De Hacha-scallops. They both come fairly plain but they do provide a lot of salsa's table side. So that you could prepare it your own way which is pretty cool. The tostada mixta was pretty big easily two people can eat from it. I did order a Michelada, which I really didn't enjoy it. I think they put too much Worcestershire and the taste over powered it. Someone recommended this place to my family and I, and I have to say, they have one of the best fish ceviche's I've ever had - the only downside of this restaurant is, the employees and parking - the employees whether on the phone or in person, they're not customer service oriented, they lack in customer service - not friendly and sort of rude - not good for the business itself - the first impression can definitely be a lasting one - Parking is a major issue, one has to park blocks and blocks away from the restaurant, unfortunately - I would rate the food a 5/5 stars and 0 ratings for the few employees I dealt with - It was a ZERO tip day - read more

Got home from a long trip and we were starving . My husband was insisting on a Shrimp Cocktail. I wanted to run some errand and a mariscos place was not on my ways so I Uber Eats his Shrimp Cocktail. It was very well packaged . It was huge. They packed it well nothing spilled. It was great tasting with lots of shrimp and great tasting broth. Another unassuming place that serves wonderful seafood! My cousin the foodhound has yet again sniffed out this place and there we were ordering ceviche and garlic shrimp. For under $20 we got a lot of ceviche which had shrimp on one half of the tray and fish in the other half. Plus we got plenty of tostadas to go with that so we're set. The ceviche was everything we came to expect. Citrus-y with lime, wonderful textures of shrimp and fish , chopped onions, & tomatoes, served on tostadas for crunch. It was great! I wish this place was consistent! I like the way you can just order your ceviche and say you want $20 worth or $5 worth, which is still a great amount. I have tried the fish ceviche and the shrimp, but fish always wins. My coworkers and I love ordering for the office and have been coming for year's, but lately it's like they add more veggies in the ceviche which can be misleading. When I think I'm biting into a juicy piece of fish, it's really a huge chunk of onion. Maybe I'll try the jaiva next time and have better luck there! read more

I have been coming for their fish ceviche party platter take out for years. It used to be $5 a pound, now $7.50 a pound. I wish they would post their prices though. Ordering over the phone has been challenging because I don't know Spanish, so I go to order in person and the service is fast. Parking is in the back or on the streets. If I can give this spot a zero I would. Food was not good at all had no seasoning whatsoever even if you would add salt and the sauces they have wouldn't be able to fix it. The sauces aren't even spicy. You were able to taste the fishy taste of the shrimp. There michelada was eh but there strawberry margarita tasted like straight robitussin when the ice melted look liked straight syrup. I think my sister can even make a better dish and drink.
