My girlfriend and I drive almost an hour to Murfreesboro specifically to visit this store for our gaming needs. Everyone here is incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable, and enjoyable to be around. A great store, honestly. I called them once, and they answered the one question I had. I went in there on my birthday, and I bought 4 games for $23. They have a sweet buy-2-get-1-free deal, so I got Hitman 2: Silent Assassin for free. All the games are priced fairly as well. They offer resurfacing services for $5 per game to fix scratched games. Well worth it, I paid $15 to get 3 games back in working condition. I've also traded some games into them. They pay out well for high-value games, which I quite like. The prices are great in my opinion Yes some of the accessories are a little steep but this is a local business and it's awesome to help them out :) I've had my fair share of bad experiences with these guys. Games not working or systems BUT they always help out the best way they can I've mentioned to them when I had an issue with a system and had to come down twice that I don't live close at all They gave me credit for the troubles of the gas I spend to keep coming down. Over the weekend, I went to Play N Trade and had a really great experience. While it might not sound like one after you read this story, I can firmly say that the store ended up with a customer for life. I traded some stuff in to get a game that I've had my eye on for a while. Since the game was on the rare side, the price was higher. While I was proceeding to check out, all of the staff members were friendly, talkative and it was clear that they shared a passion for video games that seems to be absent these days. Eventually, I left the store knowing I got a good deal for the game in comparison to other stores and/or online retailers. Unfortunately, when I got home the game didn't work. I tested other games to ensure that my console was working properly, and it was. I called PNT and told them my dilemma. After apologizing, they said that I could bring the game in anytime I wanted for a cleaning, a test run on one of their systems, etc. I made the pilgrimage back to PNT and once again was greeted by the same courtesy and friendly atmosphere. They ended up cleaning the game three or four times until it eventually started to work. I was able to go into their "employees only" section and they proved to me that the game was ready to be taken home. Not only that, but they gave me coupons for 10 dollars off anything in the store. It was a thoughtful gesture and one that I was not expecting. I think it's important to point out that Murfreesboro is a good half-hour away from where I live in Nashville. That means I spent two hours in the car in order to eventually play the game. That's two hours worth of ware on my car. That's two hours worth of gas gone. That's two hours that could have been used for something else. And yet, I'm not mad. I was treated like royalty by the staff and found a game that I have wanted to play for quite some time. Play N Trade might not have the selection as Game Trader, its neighbor. It might not give you the best prices when you trade in your games. It might not have video game music playing in the background (minor nitpick). But, it has the most important thing you could ask for in retail: an excellent staff. These workers care about video games and their players, and the amount of help I received was wonderful. Keep up the great work. read more

This place is absolutely terrible!! Everything and I mean everything that I've gotten here hasn't worked properly. First: PS2 & resident evil 4 (Had to return game it wasn't playing) So I get another copy Still doesn't work Get another ps2 Then the 2nd re4 was skipping Then I get another re4 Had to go there 3 times in one night for 1 single purchase. Then I get devil may cry 3 That doesn't work properly (super scratched) Had to get another copy Then come to find out the 2nd ps2 they gave me puts rings on all my games and they won't fix it for free or discount and I have all my receipts You can bet I will never go back here THIS PLACE SUCKS read more

This is my new favorite game store. Their prices rival that of GameStop's, and they carry retro games going as far back as the NES. The store is always clean, and has a friendly staff that is more than willing to answer any questions you have about their products. On top of that, they offer a $10 1 year Membership that gives you 3 Disc cleaning a month, as well as 10% of Pre-Owned games and accessories. Cool store had a lot of selection but I considering a lot of the games are considered to be "old" now quote on quote I think the prices could of been a lot better even tho I had all the Dreamcast games pretty much that they had there to choose from and I thought that I was going to have a lot bigger selection that that and there wasn't it like the first one picked up I mean I don't remember exact of what it was but you guys where charging way to much money for that even for some of the wii and x box 360 game too I might come back to look at the 360 game maybe since the whole reason why I went your store cause for some reason game stop stopped selling them for what ever reason and that is why I came over to your guys store cause there was no store near me that sold any thing like that or a store anything like that at all so yeah I was kind of bummed and if I want any dream cast game I guess I'll just have to look online to see what eBay has to go and offer and maybe even for the 360 games as well ! I took my perfectly fine, FULLY FUNCTIONING ipod in, to sell and the cashier guy plugs it into his computer to see if itunes worked. He handed it back, said it was broken and that he could not help me. So, I sent my fiance in (because i was already worked up at that point), and asked to speak to the manager. She said that it was that way when I brought it in. Which was a blatant lie because when I walked in the store, she walked straight to the back. NEVER LOOKED AT THE THING. I've been going to all the different game shops in town since I moved to Murfreesboro 3 years ago. Play N Trade has the best staff of any of the places in town. They always make you feel like a regular no matter how frequently or how much you buy. Skylar has always been very friendly and talkative with anyone that comes in. The man knows no stranger. Recently we met Krista and she was also very friendly. After some poor experiences with other shops in town I don't bother going anywhere else. So far all the games and hardware I've gotten from them has worked with no issue. read more

Prices are good. Deals in a wide variety of games and consoles; AAA, modern, and retro. Staff is nice. Only reason I'd not give it a 5/5 is that they sold me a Ps3 controller that did not charge. The selection of retro games (Playstation and older) is lacking but they did have some of the more desirable titles from days of olde. Had a broken psp and would not provide a screwdriver to open it so I could take the screen out without charging me 10 dollars. Use of a screwdriver costs 10 dollars at this store. Do not patronize. Took an Ipod in for repair, the front digitizer was cracked, no problems with the LCD or back light. Got the device back in perfect working order, then 2 months later the LCD would come one now and then. This was withing the "90" day warranty period. When the LCD back light did come one the image on the LCD was perfect as could be, I figured it was a problem with either the back light or a loose cable, both should have been covered under the 90 day warranty. I had a terrible experience getting my Xbox360 fixed here. The first time I took it to them after a red ring, they fixed my system for 60$ with a 90 day warante. The 360 worked fine for about 3 weeks, at which point it once again would not turn on due to red ring. I had to return to the store and have them fix it again (25 miles both ways). Today, on the last day of my warante, my system once again red ringed and I had to make the treck yet again. They could not fix it today because their technician is out of town, so I will have to drive another 50 miles If it breaks again, then I will have to pay them again to fix it. So lets get this straight: I drive 200 miles (so far 4 trips), have to pay them 60 dollars, they do NOTHING, and expect me to pay them again? Not to mention I tried to bring this up to the guy at the front desk who told me that coincidentally my xbox is "especially bad-" it's not their fault they didn't do their job to fix it correctly. Would NOT recommend this place to anyone who wants their system repaired for a reasonable price read more
