It doesn't seem that anyone has addressed a major safety issue here. The big play structure, which is the main attraction, has big dropoffs which make it unsafe for toddlers. The two times I've gone, I've had to climb around with my girls to make sure they don't fall down the dropoffs (there may be 2 or 3). So if you want to go somewhere where you, mom or dad, can relax and just sit back and watch, this is not the place. It has some other physical stuff for the littles but not a whole lot, at least at my last visit. Otherwise the place is fine. My girls have fun. The manager is very nice. Just be prepared to accompany your children as they play if they are not big enough for those dropoffs. read more

We had our daughter's 2nd Birthday there using a Groupon deal. We ended up upgrading to the Ultimate package for an additional $40. Of course we wanted to feed our guest, the kids ate so little that the parents were able to eat some pizza too.. but we gave the parents heads up that the pizza is mainly for the kids. The room we had was spacious, a little dim, but liked how we had sofas. Wish we had more napkins, one napkin per plate.. and my 2 year old needed more than one.. Ended up using baby wipes. With the Ultimate package you get a coordinator.. she popped in here and there to ask if we're okay, but that was pretty much it. At the beginning, my husband had to remind them about our juice.. he also told me he think they overbooked cause there was 3 parties and usually it's suppose to be 2. Nonetheless, my daughter and the other kids enjoyed the indoor playground. They let some of our guests who got their 15 minutes early play, which was nice. Overall the kids had a blast. read more

Not bad for $9. It is the back of the church and it feels a little messy inside, but good enough for the kids to play They had TV projected on the wall and playing the entire time. We purposely limit my daughters screen time so when she came in all she wanted to do was watch TV. I brought her here to play and if I knew they would be playing tv I wouldn't have come. read more

I heard about Play Kingdom from a friend so I decided to take my 3 year old to check it out...I've been to other indoor playgrounds in the past, but this one is hands-down the best so far! It's super clean and well maintained, and my son loves the playstructure as well as the added play equipment. He literally asks me every day to take him to Play Kingdom! We visited Play Kingdom on a Friday from 10:30-12:30. My three year old had the best time running himself ragged up, down, and through the play structure. Seeing the kids shoot off the slide made him a little apprehensive at first, but with a little coaxing and help from new friends, he did it! The terror on his face was hilarious that first slide down, but man, he was so proud of himself for making it out! I liked that there are different things to do, depending on the age, mood, or personality of your child, plenty of space for adults to hangout, and seating with tables for my homeschooled daughter to spread out her materials. What I really really REALLY love is that it's so close to home. I'm incredibly thankful for a fun place to take my youngest child without having to venture out of city limits. I left a 4/5 review because I felt like something was missing. There's a lot of potential there, but what a great start! I couldn't find Play Kingdom my first go around, not knowing it was behind New Song. Don't be like me: Drive around the back. Your kiddos will love you for it! read more

Good concept with great potential but not a great match for my needs at this time. I took my 23 month old here to play hoping there was a large toddler area. However the designated toddler area is very small, and though she could climb through most of the playground, it became overwhelming for her once the older children came running through. I was really hoping this place offered multiple play gyms separated by ages (it's definitely large enough to accommodate such an idea), but outside of the locked playpen for babies, there's nothing separating toddlers from the older children. My daughter did enjoy playing with other toys that were available; table, chairs, toy kitchen, train set, activity blocks, & magnet board. Positives: good coffee bar with juice for kiddos, plenty of space for adults, clean play toys, 1 admission fee gets you in the entire day! Need for improvement: it's difficult to find this place, as limited signage brings you to the back of a church, you can't visualize the kids in the play structure while they play as there are plastic tree house panels/design blocking views ( there's lot of ruckus up there and if your stuck below with a baby, how can you see that your kiddo is safe), a larger designated area (possibly locked off) for toddlers to play, climb and explore. In summary, it's a great outlet for older children to play and get energy out for an affordable price while parents can interact or relax. As for toddlers, I'd wait until they're older if your hoping they'll be playing on the playgym. read more

Took my one and a half year old daughter to play kingdom Sunday around 3pm. It was her first time going to an indoor playground and she Loved it!! I think she was excited and quick to start climbing because she loves to watch Blippi on YouTube lol I was more scared of the slide than her lolol (it was really fast!!). We were climbing, and crawling, and just having a blast! It's not a big place but it was perfect because it doesn't get very busy. Maybe because it's new and hidden behind a Christian church. It's also very clean. My daughter also loved playing with the magnet board, shopping cart and train tracks. It's only $5 if under 2yrs old, and $9 regular ($7 on Groupon). The employees are really nice and they have a small snack shop you can buy small snacks, coffee, and drinks. They don't have real food though, just so you know. I had a bad first impression when we arrived because there were people (1 was an employee) smoking by the entrance and the play structure is not at all impressive. I'm glad I gave this place a chance! My kids loved it and so did I. It's big enough to keep my 3yr old and 1yr old busy for a couple hours but small enough so that I can relax on a couch and keep an eye on both without being a helicopter-mom. I was a little bit hesitant in going to Play Kingdom mainly because reviews kept mentioning how small it was. I found a groupon deal and I'm glad we tried it! My boys, 6 and 4, really enjoyed it and asked to go back. Yes, the play area is small, but it didn't stop my boys from having fun. They were running around with other kids, laughing, playing, and getting all that energy out. The adult area is very comfy and with the free WiFi, you can relax while the kids tire themselves out. It's a win-win if you ask me! What really impressed me the most was how clean everything is. I saw them clean the play area as well as the couches, which I have never seen at Playwerx. We all know kids and germs go hand in hand, so seeing the extra step of keeping things clean was greatly appreciated. Will definitely be visiting again. read more

I came here recently with my 21 month old daughter and six year old niece and they had a blast. It was a Saturday morning and only had two other kids playing which made it so nice for little one to play. The play area, albeit smaller than Playwerx, still hit the mark! My daughter was able to play comfortably and safely. My niece had fun as well, going wild throughout the tunnels. I think if my niece was there alone, she may have been over it sooner. Play Kingdom also has lots of extra toys to play with and it was definitely clean! It's really perfect for 2-4 year olds and I love how there aren't aggressive older kids running my daughter over. I bought a Groupon for admission but due to the COVID-19 pandemic we chose not to go in before everything was shut down. We USED to love this place! I would drive from Carlsbad almost every Friday to take my kids there. Well never again, today my 1 year old son was throwing toys on the other side of the gate. Yes, it's annoying I'm sorry. But he is a 1 year old boy that just discovered he can throw so he is practicing it. I know it makes a mess but he wasn't hurting anyone and we can clean up the mess. This is after all a place for kids to play, you should expect a little bit of a mess. Well the old blonde lady felt it was appropriate to aggressively walk over to my son and snatch the shopping cart out of his hands which scared the crap out of him and sent him running to me crying. You could see it in her face that it pissed her off so bad. Honestly, that is not okay for an adult to interact with a 1 year old like that and scare him with your hostility. You are running a business for KIDS get a grip lady, they are messy! Don't waste your time or money going somewhere that doesn't tolerate kids being kids. read more

My daughter and I love this place. We like to come here about once or twice a month.. and every time we do she never wants to leave. The area is very big for the kids to run around, but yet small enough to keep an eye on your kid while sitting on the comfy couches they have. You can also bring outside food!! Which is awesome! We usually pack a small lunch/snacks and drinks, and you can enjoy them there! However they also have a cafe, which has small snacks for the kids, as well coffee drinks, which I have tried and are delicious and are at a reasonable price. They also have a huge projector playing, usually they have a kids movies on, which in my opinion is nice because you get enjoy a movie while you're there. I was optimistic, but as soon as I entered my feeling changed. There was an overall depressing vibe, mostly due to the industrial warehouse location and lighting. I don't want to hurt the business, because I'm glad they are trying to do something for families. Surprisingly, the area is massive, but the kids area is less than half. The big empty room with a few tables feels odd, but surprisingly there is a really cool adult lounge with a nice pool table, foosball table, etc. Only problem is that I wouldn't feel comfortable just leaving a kid on the other side, since there is a huge area around the play unit, just outside the padded area, that is polished cement. Socks + polished cement = no good. I think this could be a really cool place if they fix the lighting, add more padded flooring, and fence in the kids area so they can't wander too far. For $5, our 1 year old daughter had a great time, so I can't complain. But I would feel a bit embarrassed telling friends to meet us there for a birthday party. It's just a bit unprofessional, from the way they answer the phone to the somewhat careless feel of the entire place. I hope the ownership takes note of this and does a few tweaks to make it feel a bit more safe and bright. read more

The hours listed here on yelp and their website are inaccurate and they are closed Monday-Wednesday. After driving 20 minutes and then navigating camp pick up from the church in which play kingdom is located for another 15 minutes, I see a sign that they are closed. Yet people are coming in and out picking up their children. Of course I couldn't leave my kids in the car to check it out and didn't want to spend the 10 minutes getting strollers out, etc so I call the number listed. Long story short, I believe it was a general call center or different location and they spent some time figuring out the hours, then finally stated they just started summer hours and haven't changed the online hours yet. This was incredibly frustrating, and the kids were so fussy after being in the car so long, only to have to figure out alternative plans. Thank goodness for kidsville- reliable, clean and always open when stated on their website. Super disappointed! read more

This place is a hidden gem! We were trying to find an inexpensive way to get our toddler out of the house and interacting with other kids. There aren't too many options in North County that don't cost an arm and a leg so we were excited to find Play Kingdom. At $9 for the first kid and discounts for additional it was a good deal! It's not a stand alone place, it's a sectioned off area in the back of a large building that's also used as a church. Because of that there's plenty of parking and the inside of the building is well maintained and clean. The play structure is almost like something you'd see at Chuck E Cheese (but better IMO) and has some clever interactive bits. There are also some other toys and play sets separate from the play structure as well as a 24mo and under area. You're not supposed to bring in outside food/drinks but there is a snack counter/coffee bar where you can purchase food/drinks. Overall, our son had a blast and it wore him out (which is hard to do), so we're excited we found this place and will definitely go back! read more

Took my grandchildren. They had a blast. Great play area, so much to do there. Just remember to bring socks or you can't enter the play areas. They did sell socks thank goodness. I haven't had conjunctivitis pink eye since I was a child. A day later I came down with the worst case ever. I remember rubbing my eyes when I was there and thinking that I shouldn't have after touching everything there. Sure enough I got germs into my eyes. Well that happens with so many little children all in one place. Just hope that they sanitize the equipment as needed and hope that there wasn't a huge outbreak of pink eye.
