It was later in the day but our late arrival did not stop Steve and his wife from allowing us to browse undisturbed. They kindly sought out several project boards from the back room that had not been on display yet. We purchased three beautiful slab boards and some other items, among them a very hard to find replacement lever for my Jointer. I was surprised how little it cost and was very impressed with the variety of other wood products, tools, abrasives and cabinet hardware. Too much to list. I would surely have bought more if it wasn't so after closing time. We intend to go back every time we pass through Embro and can only hope this gem stays around longer. Carlo & Lori from Hamilton.

A lot of camping and survival gear. The tool section is a bit sketchy, Its mostly all made in china crap that will break the first time you use it. I got a 3/8'' ratchet extension and i twisted it right off on a 1/2'' bolt. But you get what you pay for i guess, for $3 you can just chuck it out and buy another one. Overall a cool store.

I ordered some garden tools online on May 12 2020 and today May 20 I received an email to confirm…read moremy order was ready to pick up. I drove to the store in Woodstock Ontario location and was told the order was not all arrived. To be able to pick up the items were arrived I was told need to go online to cancel the online order first and reorder the items that I could pick up from store. To go online there's no option to cancel the order. The phone number showing online either disconnect my call automatic or no one answer. Now I paid for my order and I am neither be able to cancel or refund. The store in Woodstock Ontario refused me to pick up my order for those items they had it in store.

I am simply fascinated by how difficult it is to shop at this store. I mean, is it really so hard…read moreto set up a customer-friendly store? Not only can I never find anything -- the set up is simply not intuitive, and the areas are not marked very well -- but I don't find the staff to be overly helpful either. I can't count the number of times I've stopped by and ended up wandering the aisles with a furrowed brow and open mouth, hunting for whatever it is I need. I often have to chase down a staff member to ask where something is located. What's strange is that the Hamilton Lowes is the complete opposite. There, it's *easy* to find what I'm looking for, and the staff there is SO helpful -- it's a pleasure to spend money at the Hamilton Lowe's. That difference tells me that it's not Lowe's but the local management. I have been doing a lot of home renovations and, though the Burlington Lowe's is not far from my house, I try to hold off on my purchases and go to the Hamilton Lowes whenever I get a chance.
