This is the best Plato's I've been to. Love the new location! I've sold at all the CO Locations, but this is the only one l actually SHOP at. I LOVE how it's organized by brand. I was instantly drawn to the free People + Lululemon section. It was so nice to not have to dig for the brands I love. Made a HUGE difference in my shopping experience. Corporate Plato's should take some cues from this location! They seems to buy more at this location but it really depends on inventory so don't be offended if they pass on your stuff. They can only take what they're low on inventory or is a popular "teen" brand. Took about an hour and a half to complete my buy. It's nice they send you a text when it's ready so you can go run errands and come back. The staff is super nice and eager to help. Once again, kudos to the staff for making the store look more like a boutique vs. a 2nd hand store. read more

this place has me at a loss for words. I came last night 2 hours before they closed to sell bags of clothes. I waited at the desk for several minutes before a girl told me they couldn't take my stuff last night because they were too backed up from throughout the day. I came back today, dropped off 3 bags at 3:42pm, was told they would be done in about 30 minutes. At 5:30, I finally got a text saying that they weren't going to buy anything from the 3 bags. when I picked my stuff up all three bags were still tied shut and untouched. I bought several items during a sale. Once I got home I realized the tag was placed over a large burn hole on the jacket. I went to return it with the receipt and tag and they wouldn't accept the return. I have shopped platos many times and never had an issue with returns ESPECIALLY if it is due to damage of the item that the employees purposefully covered with a tag and couldn't be seen until the tag was removed. Very shitty of management to not accept the return or even offer store credit. I won't be returning to this location. read more

I brought my clothes here a few weeks ago and it was a huge waste of my time. They forgot to check my clothes so when I came back 2 hours later (after saying it would be 45 minutes), they needed more time to get through my clothes. They bought 2 items out of 2 grocery bags and threw all of my clothes back in the bags so they are completely wrinkled. Wouldn't recommend selling here. read more

Terrible, I brought stuff in, good stuff at that, name brand items from H&M, Old Navy, Nike, Under armour ect. Big bin, the lady that checked me in said would take 20 minutes so I stayed, she thought I left and I literally watched her open my lid, run her hands around the bin, grabbed just the Sorel boots on top and take that and that's it. Didn't pick up one piece of clothing, then sent a text and I went up there and she said welcome back. She really thought I left when I was watching her the whole time!!! Plus only got $12 for the expensive Sorel shoes. Never again will I go to sell things at this location. I went to a different location where they took dang near EVERYTHING of mine! DO NOT SELL HERE!!! It will be a waste of your time. More work to bring in your stuff and take it back out, than they spend on going through your items. All very young employees when I was there, nothing wrong with that, as long as they have a strong work ethic and do the job they are hired to do. Since when do people NOT do their jobs and still collect a paycheck?? To get paid, you have to work, at least a little. I brought in several bins and bags, desirable brands, just do not fit myself or my teenage daughters anymore. "Employee" literally did not even go through half of what I brought in. She admitted it when I finally asked her directly. She said she "tried." Save your time, and save yourself the work... no need to bring your stuff here to sell, waste of time. Today was my first visit ever to a Plato's. Truthfully, I was on my way next door to TJMax when I decided to pop in and have a look. So glad I did!! I was out shopping today for some fresh, colorful workout clothes and I left the store with a ton of great dry fit tops for running and a fun pair of leggings. The store associate (from Wyoming) was awesome, genuine, helpful, and super friendly. This was one of the best shopping experiences that I have had in a long time. I don't usually buy second hand clothing but everything I looked at and tried on was clean and in amazing condition. (Some really great, reliable, durable brands too like Under Armor and Nike). Unfortunately, the customer service was terrible at this location; the staff was dismissive and rude. There were 8+ employees in the store and it still took us several minutes to get helped even with no line. We did not feel welcome at all. When we finally did get helped, the employee said it "wouldn't be long at all" so we shouldn't bother leaving the area, so we stayed in the store for what ended up being 30+ minutes only to again wait at the counter awkwardly for several minutes before an employee was willing to help us and inform us that we had waisted our time because none of the items could be accepted due to "basic wear and tear", a policy one can clearly see is not consistently applied when looking at the merchandise selection in the store. I hope this business improves, perhaps through implementing some additional customer service training with its employees, and I genuinely wish it the best in this regard. read more

I've been bringing almost brand new clothes to this location for some time. Every time I am turned away due to the same issues of wear and tear and out of style. The clothes they already have are out of date and honestly ugly. Yet they don't take Hollister brand new flannels, almost new American eagle jeans or a one time used tank top from hollister. I came in to sell some clothes. The process is pretty easy but it does take some time. Be prepared with a driver's license. They will need you to use it to sign in. You can get cash or store credit. Had I not needed gas money, I would have gone for the credit. This place has cute stuff! It's well organized and the staff is attentive and helpful. Be warned...they only buy certain items. They are pretty specific and tend to stay with trendy, name brand and young styles. You drop off your bag and wait to get notified. After about 30 mins of waiting, they called me up to go over what they would buy. From my big bag of clothes....they chose three pieces. Walked out with just over $7. BEWARE - THEY DID NOT PUT A PAIR OF SHOES BACK IN MY BAG OF CLOTHES THEY DIDN'T WANT. Since they also didn't pay me for them, I had to ask them to find them and return them to me. Loud music (including commercials) is always blaring at this location, which gives me anxiety. I would buy a lot more here if I could stand to stay in the store for longer amounts of time. I am 22, I have not been in kids clothes since I was 12! They keep telling me that they are out of the date range they are taking. So I asked what they meant. Plato's Closet, from a seller's point of view, doesn't score too high. They are extremely picky about the types of clothing they buy and, if I'd done a bit more research, I may have figured that out before wasting my time here. I do have to say that the girl that helped me was very sweet and did explain how their business works right up front, so I handed her a bag full of 17 pairs of jeans (all Gap & Lucky) and hoped for the best. As a seller - your clothing must have been purchased within the last year (maybe year and a half). They will only take a certain inseam measurement (low and super low); no capris, only long shorts, etc... As a buyer (which I was not), it's really a store for teenagers - so there are some cute things available there. A MASSIVE selection of jeans, but still expect to pay $50-$75 for a pair of the better name brands. In the end, I sold one pair of $95 Lucky Jeans for $10 (all of my other jeans were from 2005 and, therefore, no good). Bottom line: Plato's Closet buys and sells what's hip and hot to high-school aged kids. read more

I have been to several Plato's Closet locations and this one is my favorite. The staff here is very kind and helpful. Their customer service is always great, even on super busy days. I have stopped by here a few times for a sale or to browse their selection and I always seem to find a special treasure to add to my collection. I came here recently for a clearance sale and totally scored! All clothes on the designated racks were $1! I filled my cart and tried on everything I could. Their dressing rooms are nice and big, so you have enough room to move around! I enjoy shopping here and I love when they have sales! I highly recommend this location. Plato's Closet is more expensive, but the quality of their clothing makes up for it. read more

This is my absolute favorite Plato's location. The store is very organized and the staff here is very sweet and helpful. They make great suggestions and if you are looking for something specific, they will scour the racks for you and try to find it. If you're selling clothes to them, they don't pay a lot for the clothing. Which is understandable, they want to turn a profit. And they are picky about what they take, but keep in mind it is a store aimed at mainly teens and young adults, so if you have something that is a little more mature, this isn't the place to take it. If you're buying clothes from them, the prices here are phenomenal. You can easily get a new pair of heels, boots or casual shoes for $10-15 and they are always in great shape. It's also a great place to buy jeans and dresses. read more

I want to give the store a great review because I've been to other locations and have been treated with disrespect and the girls are very rude and the store is dirty. I walked into the Littleton Location they had a large variety organized, clean the store did not smell bad. The girls were very helpful especially Casey and the manager was so nice. Very friendly wanted to hang out and chat with you didn't treat you like they didn't have time for you. even invited us to an event they were having the following weekend. You cannot beat the super low prices for trendy BRAND NAME clothing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. They buy only the past 2 seasons of clothing so there is not a "used thrift" feel to the clothing, everything is very stylish. The only thing that needs slight improvement is more consistent buyers, as you can take the same clothing in twice, one buyer will pass on the item and the next day someone else will buy it. This place is FUN and the best value for girls and trendy people in general! read more

This location is definitely the largest I've been in to shop. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Very knowledgeable about fashion trends and familiar with their inventory. I thoroughly enjoyed shopping there and only explored a small area of the store due to time constraints. Their merchandise is well racked and organized. Their displays are cute and on point with current looks. Great selections on shoes!!! The fitting rooms are tight and small so I suggest a larger full size mirror along the aisle or outside the fitting rooms just provide a better view! Great prices. Awesome bargains. I went to the one in Westminster, but still, I think the previous review is spot on. I had a bunch of old clothes from me, my sister in law, and friend, and so I thought I'd give selling them a shot. So I brought in 3 bags of clothes that were all name brands like Banana Republic, J.Crew, Limited, Gap, H&M, which their website said were the most coveted brands. I had to wait quite a while to get a buyer (read: 17 year old fashion expert wearing jeans that showed her butt crack) to look at my stuff. She half-ass picked through it while debating the merits of underwire bikini tops with her colleague and then reported back to me that my items were "too mature" for the store. So they bought nothing. Despite the shame of getting my style pooped on by a 17 year old, I did look around the store. The styles they carry are definitely very young, but like any thrift-type store, there are some good finds if you look hard enough. I thought some of the prices were a little high. I think it'd be ok for picking up a last minute going to the bars outfit, but not so much for really good investment items. But I probably wouldn't go there again. We have better thrift stores right in Denver. read more

I brought my clothes to Plato's Closet and was told there would be a 1/2 wait. 30 minutes later they asked for my ID and said it would be 15 more minutes until they were done reveiwing my merchandise. 45 minutes later I finally asked if they were done. At this point they informed me they could not buy any of my items because they were all in too new condition. They said they could be shut-down if they bought stolen merchandise. I informed them none of it was stolen! They had me wait and hour and half to tell me this. They went through all of my nicely folded merchandise and just threw it back in the basket! read more

Their clothing is EXPENSIVE for basically a thrift store. $10-12 a shirt, $14-25 for jeans. They will buy items from you and give you basically a dollar an item and say "Our prices are 70-80 percent off retail value, we give you 30%" So let me do the math, I give you 7 items and you give me enough cash to barely afford used shirt from your store? Most of the clothes were way,way overpriced. I feel their profit margins are messed up. You should at least be able to afford 2 or 3 new things for exchanging 5-6 things. Never shopping here again. Platos closet is a great place to upgrade your closet. All the prices are fair and the selection is awesome! They even sell premium brands like Lululemon, Coach and Tory Burch. When I bring in clothes to sell they are nice and they give me a fair offer for second hand clothes. I always leave this place with clothes or cash! read more
