I booked a private session for a group of 7 after calling multiple studios in the area. CA Yoga…read moreBarre had great reviews, offered plenty of amenities, and easy parking (free lot in the back), plus the cost of a private session was very reasonable, so I thought, "let's do it!" There was also mats and all equipment provided, which made it easy for a group traveling from all out of town. There are also showers (unheard of for boutique barre studios I learned) and a large locker room. However, no towels, so we ended up not using the showers. Courtney (the owner) was very friendly upon meeting her. She was kind and allowed us to semi decorate the studio for our occasion (simple balloons). We chose the barre option when asked to choose between yoga or barre. She first assessed the average experience of the group and I believe the modified the exercises to fit the needs of the group. There was adequate stretch between each series. Maybe one piece of constructive feedback is for hands-on adjustments (or verbal cues) since not everyone in the group knew what they were doing the entire time, but that's one small point out of what was a very wonderful experience. Everyone had a good time and said the workout was enjoyable. Would recommend CA Yoga Barre, at least for the private session, for those looking for an extra something for their programming!

We focused on stability and core strength since I am fairly flexible that wasn't a concern. A couple days after class I was still so sore, I couldn't believe it! Jessica was able to get me a deep work out that I'm not used to being able to achieve. She really helps to focus on your positioning by reminding you to isolate and focus on core stability. I started more than 75 lbs overweight -- my trainer suggested we try Pilates and we picked Remedy because it was close to home. After a few group classes I realized I needed more one-on-one attention, so I started training with Jess Pate. Over the next year I lost 45 lbs and got hooked. When Jess's schedule filled up, she connected me with Peyton Kirke, who has been amazing working around my ankle and shoulder issues since she's dealt with similar limitations herself before she began Pilates. I'm a pretty confident person, but Pilates humbled me fast (I fell in well during my very first class -- if you know, you know!). Thanks to Jess, Peyton, and the whole team, I can now keep up with everyone in class. Kelly Snailum has built such a warm, welcoming studio here. Every instructor is great -- Steve, Erika, Alexis, and Jacque, just to name a few. Remedy doesn't just feel like a workout, it feels like a community that supports you through the highs and lows. If you're on the fence, just try it. You will not be sorry.

They had a full coffee and matcha bar, raffles, selfie moments everywhere, and even a live DJ during our heated Hot HIIT class which made the workout feel more like a party than a class. The session was about 45 minutes, super energizing, and the staff + community vibe was genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked in. This location is a bit smaller than some other Foundry studios I've visited -- one main classroom -- but it still works well with multiple changing rooms, two showers, and a cozy community feel. It's tucked toward the back of a fitness-focused shopping plaza (Orangetheory, Pilates, barre, healthy food spots, etc.), so you walk through this little wellness cove to find it, but signage makes it easy. One of the biggest reasons I love The Foundry overall is the nonprofit mission: expanding access to wellness, supporting diverse instructors, and providing pathways like scholarships for people entering the fitness/yoga world. Also huge bonus for travelers like me -- they're on ClassPass, which makes popping into classes in different cities super convenient. Great energy, great mission, and I'll absolutely keep coming back.
