Today Jan 18th at 11am to12 pm class was awful. I did not…read morebother to remember her name ,she was subbing . She started by asking us to move stuff around . The whole class was on the floor or on the wall. We used the performer just for couple of exercises like bridges. In the end of the class she did not let us use the performer for cooling down , stretching, cycles with your legs. What we did today I could have done it at home without paying ,traveling, laying on the floor,which I have never seen anybody cleaning it. I think instructors are told not to use the performer so they can save the equipment Horrible experience!!!!

When I looked for somewhere new, I literally called every Pilates studio within 20 miles of home. I tried out a few and decided on Jennifer Pilates after getting a great workout in her mat class. I bought a 30 session package and am just about half way through it. Everyone's been noticing HUGE changes in how I look already! I move through space with more balance & strength. My clothes are fitting loser everywhere except for where I FINALLY have a butt! She's encouraging when things are a challenge. Her awareness of detail is at a height I've never seen before and I think that's the magic to what she does! Her private session prices are about on par with everywhere else in the area, so yes, you're going to likely make a dent in your wallet. That said, I'm SO happy with my results so far that I'd seriously consider selling a kidney to be able to continue. Luckily, since that's not an option in the developed world, her small classes are a steal at $15 and there's enough individualized attention and modifications for everyone.

It is not cheap, but you get one-on-one attention and she pushes you to your absolute limit while still being encouraging and supportive. The clinic was generally empty when I was there (on weekday mornings) and so there were no distractions. The hour you spend flies by. I've tried a lot of pilates studios/classes and, if you can afford it, nothing matches this kind of intense, personalized training.
