Since I began the nutritional counseling last month, I've lost 7 pounds - purely on changing my eating habits alone. Although both Tauheedah and Dan emphasized the importance of exercising along with changing my eating habits, I wasn't always willing to push my body, and I know if I had done exercises to really push my heart rate, I would have lost more weight, but I feel good about what I've done so far. I believe Body Solutions is about a personal touch. The people there really care about what they do and what they can help you do. They are there to support you with your goals - whether that is to lose weight, tone up, or just see what your body is capable of. I know, kind of corny but as of today, I have kept off my weight loss of 50 lbs for one year (and counting). Man o man what I've learned in this time...again I can really say this has changed my life and all around me. This time for the better :-). I kept up my initial routine; my 3x weekly personal training and nutrition counseling with Dan plus cardio on my own. Dan really helps me stay or get back on track. One year later and I'm still journaling - crazy like that. Not only have I lost and kept off my weight but I'm stronger and more confident too. I can do things now that just amaze me; would have been very difficult a year ago. I have met so many wonderful people working out at Body Solutions. We are all working towards achieving and maintaining good health. I love it there and look forward to each session. No matter what the day was like or your weigh in delivers, it's a fun, supportive, non-judgemental place. They hold me accountable, help me and the results show. The Free Weights are plentiful and you can go pretty hard here! There are 2 bathrooms to change/shower, and you can use the gym 24/7. My membership is $30 every 2 weeks ($60 Month) For unlimited use in all the gyms. Not too bad! My only con is their billing sucks. Frequent mistakes and they still don't bill on the date I signed on the contracts. It changes monthly and is usually 3-5 days prior. Not huge but definitely makes me wonder what's going on with accounting!?!?

I was repeatedly told what a "good girl" I was as I was doing the different exercises, and the owner placed his hand on my bottom while I was doing a leg lift exercise, under the premise of making sure I was "activating my glutes." He also posted up near my elliptical at the end of the workout to kiss and rub on his girlfriend. This was my first one-on-one training session at any gym, so I had no idea how inappropriate all of this was until I mentioned how weird I felt after leaving the session to a friend of mine who had been doing personal training for a few months and said her trainer would never touch her without asking and even then, would certainly not touch her in the way I was during my session. Bottom line: yikes. This experience really derailed my fitness goals through the last few months because the experience only felt more invasive the more I thought about it. I know from the reviews and what I was told/shown that day that a lot of young female athletes train at this location, so I just hope no one else has experienced similar things.
