Not to mention it is the top rates premiere gym in the Atlanta area. My first session went great with me learning basic boxing and kicking techniques/ combos. The coach/ owner taught the class personally. While teaching, he made sure to communicate with me personally and train me at a beginner level. I plan to train their 6 days a week, and I am looking forward to the opportunity Bangkok Boxing is giving me to grow. Facilities are state of the art, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. You get plenty value for your dollar with unlimited session Muay Thai, Fitness kickboxing, and boxing. If you do see any lower star reviews they seem to all be personal issues the person had with the gym. Nothing to do with the quality or team working there. Also most lower start reviews are from people not being able to get out of the contract once it is signed. Do net let this deter you from visiting. These are individual financial banking problems that in no way represents Bangkok Boxing and its teaching.

Very disappointed in the owners Khunpon and his wife's behavior(at both locations). There was an…read moreissue regarding masks and I stated I was offended by his reaction towards me wearing a mask. Instead of resolving the issue himself, he had his assistant apologize on his behalf and refused to speak with me in person. It all boiled down to an anti-blackness negative social stigma and I was discriminated against because I am a woman of color. I felt very uncomfortable continuing with a gym membership at either location. Great front desk assistant, terrible owners. The owner needs to comprehend that African-American's are the main ones supporting his gym and I will not take this discrimination lightly, neither should his customers. I have plenty of Asian-American friends, so this is not a bashing moment, this is a festering boil that needs to be popped!

I've spoken to the owner over the phone who was really friendly and supportive and the trainer, Charnel is wonderful. Class always starts on time and she keeps us very active. She times our different exercises and motivates us to keep going and at the same time she talks with us about our pregnancy and tells us about her experiences as well. All of the ladies in the class are friendly as well. We do so many different water activities that the hour goes by super fast. I'm going to keep at it until the doc says no. They host the class at different locations and on different days. You have the option to pay for each class (online before hand) or pay for the entire session which covers I think 4 classes. If you pay per class like me you will only pay $17. I can't commit to a full session so I pay per class. They also let you make up classes but only if you pay for the full session.

So far, we've tried the Mom and Baby Yoga and the H2Oh Baby classes. I love the flexible class policy - if you sign up for a session of Yoga, you can skip yoga one week and try out a different class. It's a great way to meet other parents, to work off the jiggle postpartum belly, and...hello photo ops (especially for the H2Oh baby classes - picture adorable babies in floats all bumping into each other and smiling in the pool. Too cute for words!). You can even bring a friend, partner, or grandparent to class with you for no extra cost. And with the 10% discount offered to repeat customers, each class comes to a grand total of $13.50 - about the cost of lunch. And BabyRoX takes the loooongest naps after class, too. At 4 months postpartum, I'm now just 10 lbs from my goal weight, my baby is getting used to swimming, I get my Zen on with the yoga, and we both get awesome naps. And I have some ridiculously cute photos of my sweet boy in the pool with his new baby friends. Totally recommend this to other parents and parents-to-be!

Active Sol Yoga is located in Buckhead on Bennett Street, which is right off Peachtree St. If you were familiar with Frank Ski's Restaurant & Lounge, then that's the street you turn in on to get there. Otherwise, you might easily pass the street since the street sign is a bit obscured. Once you turn onto Bennett, you drive almost all the way to the end of the street but take a left onto short street and the studio is located at the building at the top of the street. Hope that makes sense. I do like that it's away from the hustle & bustle of Peachtree Street. Upon arriving you'll see some benches on the right, a window (checking in) to the left and then an open area with cubbies to put your things in, apparel for sale and a clean restroom. They have too big, open studios with lots of natural light. Always a plus! Krishaunda lead our session. She started us with Vinyasa flow and ended our last 20 minutes with Restorative yoga. She was very nice. And I liked that she went around the class and helped to guide us into positions correctly. I was (& still am) pretty relaxed. Honestly could've stayed in shavasana pose for 15 more minutes. Or an hour or so. Lol.

My biggest issue is with the training schedule. They go very much by the book so they have very little wiggle room if you're more or less experienced than the average goer. The other problem I have, and this is with ballroom dance spaces in general, is that they focus more on teaching you the steps more than they teach you how to actually dance. We went with private lessons after trying out several of these dance studios and came to realize the vast difference that makes. We came here to train for our wedding dance, but it wasn't a good fit.

When we went for the third lesson, the instructor wasn't there, and there was a new instructor. He claimed our instructor was not well and couldn't make the lesson. However at the end of the lesson he tried to schedule us with him for our fourth lesson instead of with our original instructor. As far as we can tell he was the boyfriend of the owner. It was a bit like she had fired our instructor and replaced him with her boyfriend. The replacement instructor was not as good. he started from the beginning and tried to teach us stuff we already new. His instruction was also not as good. We said we want the original instructor to call us to schedule the fourth lesson, and we never got a call back. So here we are - we paid for four lessons. 2 of the lessons were good, the third was with a replacement instructor who wasn't very good, and the fourth is paid for but we never received it. Hopefully we will sort this out with them. Otherwise we will go to Academy Ballroom.

They have limited class offerings for Level I,…read morewhich is hardly a workout, that are almost always booked a month out by repeat members or are unattainable if you work at all during the day. Even their weekend classes are limited and booked. Past that, you need 10 beginner classes to do any other classes offered at the studio, which they make impossible with their schedule. Before signing up I also recommend reading the agreement in depth, from the large signing fee that isn't mentioned until right before payment in addition to the $200 limited monthly membership, they also will not legally let you cancel your membership for the three-month contract even if you are unhappy with the experience. Past that, you have to apply to cancel even before the end of your second month to be approved, yes approved, to terminate your membership at the end. The instructors were always very nice and so were the people there. The studio was always clean and so was the equipment. But the management is clearly capitalizing on its location and customers.
