The facilities are in a rather small location in a strip mall. It seems rather safe, clean, well lit and hygenically sound. Body Design is ideal for those who are out of shape and need to build up a basic level of work out consistency and stabilization. The equipment is not very great nor is the selection. This consists of 1 treamill, 1 eliptical and 1 stationary bike in addition to kettle bells, medicine balls, jump ropes, resistance bands and those rinky dink customizable dumbells that stop at 95lbs. They have other little things such as punching bags but in my 3 months there, they were never worked into my workout. So it goes. They also offer free cardio blast sessions to members at Piedmont Park at 6am and 6pm M-F and then Saturday mornings at 10am. As I just mentioned, I've been there for 3 months and in that time have had 5 trainers. Not due to cycling or the need to share innovative workouts or ideas, but the fact that the personal trainers in this location run like a turnstyle. The reason for this is up for debate. Having heard straight from the horses mouths of why these personal trainers left, they will tell you the owner of the business is one of the most megalomaniacal people they've worked for. I've met this gentleman on three occasions. On the first, I introduced myself to him, spoke highly of my enthusiasm for joining his gym and he could care less for me. The second, after one month there, I commented to him that after my first 30 days I am seeing gains and general improvement in addition to asking him specific questions pertaining to the meal plans they provide and other related questions, could care less by responding with just follow what's on the meal plan and dismissed my compliments towards his facility. The final time, he was there and approached my friend who goes to work out with me and told him verbatim, "hey bro i busted up your girlfriend this morning, busted her up real good", then laughed about it. He then went on to say how he isolated her out during morning Cardio Blasts and pushed her to physical extremes which caused her to be sick. This concluded my friend and his girlfriend's membership. Back to the trainers; the trainers that prospected me in were gone by the time I joined mainly because they were tasked with the chore of telemarketing their services as well, overworked and treated poorly. The trainers, who you really have to sympathisize for work 6 days a week, nearly if not 12 hours a day and really don't get paid as you'd think. From a very limited perspective, it's similar to a Ponzi scheme. I would have left after month one had I not felt sympathy towards the trainers. The owner however has his own version of the story of why previous trainers have left and again, it's subject to debate as to how much of each version is true. The workouts are completely different from what I am accustomed to coming from an actual gym. I would best describe it as "weighted resistance cardio training". After a while the workouts become stale and repetitive. I've on numerous occasions spoke to both trainers currently there and expressed my 3 desired goals and 4 target areas I'd like to see the most improvment in on me; nothing changed. There is a feeling that there is no "personal" in your personal training as the current class I'm in consists of 3 other people of very different ages, body types and levels of strength and we are all given the same weights, workouts and reps. I was put in this class by one of the trainers as she felt I was being matched up with other members that have the same focuses in mind, this couldn't be farther from the truth. I no longer break sweats, become winded, no longer feel challenged and have become bored with the routine. Again, not great for me but absolutely great for someone who is several months removed from working out or first timers. Body Design also provides meal plans for their clients. At first I was excited by the notion of having something personalized that I could follow and commit to in terms of dieting...until I found out they generally give the male clients identical meal plans...that weren't customized to me and weren't administered by the trainers I saw. So who put these together and how do they know what's best for me? What if I have a peanut allergy? Having a friend who's currently studying to become a certified personal trainer, I showed her the meal plan that was "customized" for me and she told me to stop following it. It's built like a choose your own adventure with no sound structure and an overabundance of protein. I won't drill deeper in detail but to put it simply, it's not that good of a meal plan. There is no annual contract, it's monthly billing. Overall, Body Design is an adequate starter gym until you find something better.

I have been working out here for a month now. When I first started my program. My endurance was low and I hate to admit it but I couldn't even do a real push up!! So just a month after starting this journey, aside from loosing inches and my body fat percentage going down ... I can now do like 10 push ups! My upper body has always been my weakest part and the hardest area for me to improve in. I absolutely LOVE working out here . The trainers are knowledgable .. They motivate and push you to do your best , AND they are very nice ! It really feels like a family here and I love that! I can't wait to see more improvements over time and look forward to continuing my training here! This is by far one of the best places I've worked out at !!!

Feeling accomplished after that workout!!

I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time at LA Fitness on 3/27/2026. Earlier that day, I visited and purchased a day pass. Tasha assisted me, and the process was smooth, professional, and welcoming. She clearly explained that I could use the day pass throughout the day as long as I kept my receipt. However, when I returned that evening around 7:50 PM, the experience was completely different. The front desk attendant at that time was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. She remained seated, did not greet me, and spoke in a belittling manner. When I presented my receipt, she responded with, "What is this for?" and then said, "I don't know about that. You're not coming up in the system." There was no effort to assist, verify, or resolve the situation--just attitude and disrespect. Fortunately, another staff member present recognized the issue and allowed me to proceed, but the damage was already done. To make matters worse, around 8:30 PM, the same employee made a very unprofessional announcement over the intercom telling everyone they had to leave, in a tone that lacked courtesy and basic customer service standards. This is not just a one-off issue--it reflects a serious gap in professionalism and training. I strongly encourage management to review the security footage from that evening to observe both the interaction and the announcement. Based on this experience, I do not plan to return.

Serious Safety & Liability Concerns - This Gym Puts Members at Risk…read more This gym is playing fast and loose with member safety, and it needs to be called out. The sauna has a clearly posted warning sign stating a maximum safe temperature of 185°F. Despite this, staff and management insist on running it at 200°F, knowingly exceeding their own posted safety limits. That alone is reckless and a massive liability issue. What made this worse: I entered the sauna first at a safe temperature. Another gym member then came in and turned the temperature up to 197°F, completely ignoring the warning sign. When I pointed out the posted safety limit, this individual became aggressive, threatened me, harassed me, and disturbed my peace while I was simply trying to protect my health. No member should feel unsafe--physically or verbally--while using a wellness facility. Management's response? Dismissive and unconcerned. Instead of addressing: * the unsafe temperature settings * the violation of posted safety guidelines * the harassment and threatening behavior by another member ...the manager failed to take the situation seriously at all. This gym is exposing itself to serious liability by: * Ignoring its own safety warnings * Allowing saunas to operate at dangerous temperatures * Failing to intervene when a member is threatened Saunas are supposed to support health--not endanger it. Until management starts prioritizing member safety, accountability, and basic respect, I strongly do not recommend this gym. Consider this a warning.

You walk into a reception area lit brighter than a cafeteria. Nothing says relaxation like feeling like you're about to take an exam. For a $220 massage, your pre-service options are the hammam or sauna, which is very limited for the price. No steam room or jacuzzi. The robes are very comfortable, and the locker room is nice. Just be prepared to parade past a full gym in your robe on your way to unwind. I booked the Flow massage, which is supposed to be medium pressure. Instead, it felt like I was being buffed like a Camry rather than actually massaged. It came across more freestyle than intentional. I thought maybe it was just me, but both of my sisters had the exact same experience. Then comes the automatic gratuity, bringing the total to $260 for a massage that didn't deliver. If you're going to raise prices, the experience has to rise with it. This was a disappointment.

It's a little on the smaller side compared to big commercial gyms, but it has all of the necessary machines needed for a well-rounded workout. The machines all seemed to be in tip top shape save for one of the stair masters, which was out of commission (although this is of course typical at any gym so definitely no fault there!). The gym overall seemed really clean, especially the locker room/bathroom! I truly was blown away by how nice it looked and the number of items they provide to those that plan to shower and freshen up! I honestly hesitated writing this review since I love this place so much, and there's not a ton of members from the looks of it, but I was too blown away to not share! Like I have yet to come across a gym that stood up to the caliber of this place. Maybe it is because of the location and the amount of traffic it gets but this gym was close perfection to me. If I had to describe this gym, I would say it's a medium sized gym located in the Bank of America building. They basically have every since piece of workout equipment you need except the one that works out ya butt. The staff is super personable and kind, they hand you fresh towels, and have locker rooms which contain both a sauna and steam room. They also have showers. The design and feel of the place is also very modern. When I used to go, they always had contests and raffles in which you could win cool prizes like a free month membership and such. They also have someone come out to do super accurate body fat measurements every now and then. The gym was never overly crowded and it was always very clean. They also contain a dance/spin room in which you could do calisthenics and things. There are constant cleaning wipes placed over the place to clean your machines and the overall energy of the place is calm and accepting. I didn't even go there for long and the staff learned my name. The only downside I would say is the location, which is in the cut, but because it's inside a building, there's also no parking and in midtown, parking is super scarce as is. This gym taught me a lot and honestly provided an area in which I was comfortable of tackling my weight and experimenting on different exercises without feeling judged or stared at. It's weird to say but this gym lowkey has a place in my heart. I've been to other gyms no other has the feel of this one. I'm not sure if I would call this place pricey only because I'm not sure what the average gym membership price is but it is definitely worth it. You can workout at any gym but the ambience, equipment, and cleanliness of a gym is what honestly makes it. RPM excels in all those areas and even its members are generally respectful and nice. And oddly enough, til this day I don't know what the acronym RPM stands for lol. If you need a gym in which you can really dedicate yourself, big or obese without feeling too pressured or embarrassed by the public eye, this is definitely the place for you. Normal, kind, people with varying intensities on how they workout without the judgement. Check it out.

I purchased the first timer promo, $36 for 3 classes, and went to my first class on Tuesday after work, and let's just say Josè is an awesome instructor! Being that it was my first time at a Blast studio, Josè showed me around, and gave me a brief rundown on how the class will be ran, so I knew what to expect. He made me feel welcomed and answered any questions I had. He also let me know the studio validates parking, in the parking deck, so I don't need to worry about paying for parking! The gym is really clean and nicely put together. There are also free lockers so you can stow your goodies away, while you burn fat! Now on to the workout. So I've never worked out for a straight 60 minutes (hence why I'm out of shape hehe), but Josè was so fun and energetic, time flew by and I didn't even realize I went the entire class without stopping! We did so many fun workouts on the treadmill and the floor. I have an semi-athletic background, so many of the exercises we did, weren't too intimidating but they were definitely challenging! I worked up a pretty nice sweat, and a few times I wanted to yell at Josè for making us work soo hard, lol but I am so glad he kept pushing us, because I know I needed it. I'll be going back to more classes at Blast, especially when Josè is there! Excellent gym and staff, and I will be back. Side note: if you're looking for a COVID-19 friendly space to work out, this studio isn't for you. No one wore masks during the exercise, and the studio where classes are held is really small, so no social distancing. Ventilation was really good though, so it didn't feel like I was breathing old air. To public: if you are coming to workout in a public place, please make sure your hygiene is up to par. Wear deodorant at the minimum, because it's just rude to others to have to smell your funk while working out. Just saying.

I liked the fast pace workout and the energy of the instructor. At the end of the class I felt like I had a great workout that worked all parts of my body (arms, legs, abs). I love that the attentiveness of the staff in helping students refill water during class. They also keep the shower and bathroom clean and stocked with gym essentials (shampoo, hair dryer, lotion, bag for wet cloths). The only downside is that the space is quite small so that at the beginning and end of class it can be a little crowded in the hallways.
