    Hate exercise? Love wine?…read more Me too. Let's be friends. It's utterly ridiculous that to lose weight you have to workout AND watch what you eat. I mean, seriously?! Since there's no quick fix, Be Pro Fit can at least make you *sort of like* exercise. Jay and his team are serious about helping you achieve your goals. I needed to lose about 100lbs to be in a healthy weight range and decided to get professional help. I met with several trainers and decided on Be Pro Fit in the end. I like the variation in the workout and the candor between Jay and his clients. I've been training with Be Pro Fit for about four months and I've lost 40lbs. I still have a quite a ways to go, but I'm very happy with my results so far and happy with the support I've received.

I was struggling with weight management and ultimately, motivation and accountability as it relates to my workouts. I decided to look for a professional to help me figure out my workout routine and found Jay through searches in my local area. After reading through his reviews and speaking with Jay, I decided to sign on for a 12 week personal training program 3 times a week. After about 6 weeks of working out with Jay and following his diet plan, the transformation I've gone through is phenomenal. I've felt better and stronger than ever before, my strength has grown exponentially, and I'm actually excited to work out each day. Not to mention, I'm actually shrinking my waist line each week. Jay constantly challenges and pushes me to be the best version of myself in each and every work out. Without fail, I start each workout wondering if I'm going to make it through the session, and end the workout amazed at what I accomplished. Jay's always receptive to my questions, modifies his workouts to adjust for how I'm feeling that day (soreness) and is overall a kind and thoughtful person. They say the people you surround yourself with say a lot about you, and I'm extremely proud to say that I have Jay on my "life team". I was repeatedly told what a "good girl" I was as I was doing the different exercises, and the owner placed his hand on my bottom while I was doing a leg lift exercise, under the premise of making sure I was "activating my glutes." He also posted up near my elliptical at the end of the workout to kiss and rub on his girlfriend. This was my first one-on-one training session at any gym, so I had no idea how inappropriate all of this was until I mentioned how weird I felt after leaving the session to a friend of mine who had been doing personal training for a few months and said her trainer would never touch her without asking and even then, would certainly not touch her in the way I was during my session. Bottom line: yikes. This experience really derailed my fitness goals through the last few months because the experience only felt more invasive the more I thought about it. I know from the reviews and what I was told/shown that day that a lot of young female athletes train at this location, so I just hope no one else has experienced similar things.

Best Fitness is around the corner from my apartment and when I found myself at my heaviest weight of my life I thought it was time to try something new and I stopped in to see what this place was all about. I was greeted by the owner Mark Gates who was so welcoming and eager to learn about my fitness goals. We scheduled a time for a complimentary session and the rest is history. Mark devised a plan and schedule specifically for me. This included a detailed work out plan and meal plan. He is everything you could hope for in a personal trainer. He supports you, provides accountability and wants you to be successful. The environment at Best Fitness by Pharr is so friendly. You will get to know and even become friends with your fellow gym goers. I can't speak highly enough about Best Fitness by Pharr. You should definitely check it out! JC

I wish it was in San Francisco!…read more It focuses on full body workout so the different stations focus on different parts of the body (legs, arms, core, chest, back, etc.) with combination of cardio and strength training. This helps a lot so I don't have to have leg day, arm day, etc. - one workout which focused on all exercises. The instructor is also really nice and he explains the workout in the start of the class. It is a small fitness center so you get individual attention especially if you are not doing it right. If I was in Atlanta, I would definitely have made this my regular gym.

Just like the classes they are always different and fun, but geared towards the goals we discussed. It's been almost two months and I can tell I'm making progress. Working out never feels like a chore and I genuinely enjoy it. As a side note, COVID protocols are taken very seriously which I did factor into my decision to join (also wanting to support a small business in my community). I can't say enough good things about both coaches.

    I've been training with Adam for about 6 weeks and it's been great. The gym is nice, all the…read moretrainers have a great energy (even with the clients they aren't working with), and Adam has been great at setting the right intensity to keep making progress without pushing so hard that I feel like I might get injured and lose progress (which was important to me as I was getting back into training). After 4 weeks I lost 15 pounds and feel great. I'd definitely recommend any of the trainers at the gym to anyone looking to really improve their health and fitness. Update: I've now lost 23 lbs total in the two months I've been working with Adam. I'm extremely impressed by his commitment to helping me hit my goals and the willingness of the entire team to provide thoughtful advice on issues that come up (e.g. nutrition and training questions) as I make progress. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could. Final Update: I ended up losing about 30 lbs in my first 3 months at the gym (I'm still training there). It's been a great experience and I'd recommend it as the best place to go if you are very serious about getting in better shape (specifically to improve body composition).

They never pack the place so you always have your equipment ready to go for you. they can even train you and a friend at the same time if you have similar goals which is unique!
