I Love this gym! J'rai, the manager, has made so many improvements since taking over the gym. Repairs to the equipment, always clean, good music, TVs that work. I stopped going to LA Fitness and Aspire and only go to Workout Anytime. 24/7 makes it so convenient. Oh! And the Hydro Massage machine. A full body massage with different speeds and intensity. I spent two months fighting this gym just to cancel a membership I tried to opt out of from the start, and I have documents, photos, and call logs to show. Workout Anytime advertises a free 1-day trial. What they don't advertise is that the Howell Mill Road location is essentially unreachable by phone. I called repeatedly during the 7-business-day cancellation window. Every single call went to voicemail. No one ever called back. The cancellation window closed, I was billed, and when I tried to address it, I was met with a wall. I formally cancelled with ABC Financial on March 23rd. They confirmed it. Charge attempts hit my card on March 24, 25, 26, and 27. Four days straight after a confirmed cancellation date. The $19.50 "service fee" was assessed after my cancellation effective date. That's not a billing error, that's a pattern. Virginia Smith at this location is the single biggest problem here. When I came in person on March 27th, she refused to tell me her name, refused to print a copy of my membership contract, and told me Workout Anytime doesn't advertise a free trial, while that same free trial was live on their website. ABC Financial confirmed she could authorize a waiver of my balance with one phone call. She refused. I sent her two formal written notices. No response to either. On April 6th I gave up fighting and just paid the $113.98 to trigger the cancellation process. My membership then sat in "pending cancellation" until April 23rd. That's 58 days from enrollment to full cancellation, for a gym I tried to leave within the first week. Avoid this location. Avoid Virginia Smith. If you're already a member and trying to cancel, do everything in writing, send letters certified mail, and call ABC Financial directly, don't expect the owner to help you. read more

Safety and cleanliness are my top priorities for a gym. There are often homeless people sleeping and living in the gym overnight and early in the morning. It is a safety hazard. Additionally, the bathrooms are dirty, and the equipment is not kept up well. It's unfortunate. read more

I've had a membership to this gym for 7 months now and I regularly go about 4 times a week, so I feel my experiences here are consistent and it has not been good. **Equipment** It is a smaller gym, which is not inherently a bad thing, but they are very limited on equipment and benches, so even when it gets a little busy there is a wait on equipment. The equipment is also very old and shoddy. The spotter stand for incline bench is completely loose and extremely dangerous. The cables are all worn down and look like they will snap at any moment. **Facility** Secondly, there always seems to be a problem. One week the ac will have stopped working. Another week there is a huge water leak pouring down from the ceiling. At one point they shut the gym down outside of regular hours to renovate for 3 weeks. I work night shift and can only work out early in the morning so I was out of luck there. The last straw for me was when the men's room toilet flooded and was spewing feces water all over the bathroom floor. The stench alone was enough to make me sick. **Vibe** The overall vibe is a lack of management. I always rerack my own weights, but there is blatant disregard for that and weights are left haphazardly everywhere. On top of it all, I sometimes work out at night due to my work schedule, and there are homeless people that somehow make it into the gym and sleep on the hydromassage machines. The management seems to not care enough to service the issues. For what I am paying, I can get a much better gym experience from a different gym. read more

This gym is awesome! I've been coming here for years and it has always given me what I have been looking for. I have a very busy schedule so it is super convenient for me to workout because they are 24/7. If there was one thing to rave about it would be the Hydro Massage. I love that thing! I was a member for almost 10 years, I'm leaving the country and decided to cancel my membership. Trying to cancel is like pulling teeth. You can't go into the gym to cancel, you can't go on the website, you can't call customer service. It took too much time to figure out how to cancel, you damn near want to give up and just keep paying. You have to send a email request to customercare@abcfitness.com. Make sure you call customer service for your account number and put it in the email. Also, you have to give a 30 day notice and they are going to charge you the monthly fee during that time. In addition, if you pay an annual fee and you cancel before the year is up, they do not prorate. I was charged an annual fee in June, I will be charged for June and July monthly fee. I no longer live in Atlanta and I'm still paying for a service I don't need. The gym was fine, I enjoyed that but it shouldn't be so difficult to cancel and there's no reason to not refund/prorate members money back. The actual gym is fine which is the most important part but the mens locker/restroom...sheesh! You'd think you were in a holding cell waiting to get booked in jail. The lockers are literally busted. Some of the doors are hanging off and the whole thing looks as if it about to fall apart. The toilets, showers and sinks all are moldy and busted. It looks like a New York subway station in the 80s. If you never need to shower, use the restroom or the lockers then your good. If you need those then don't use this location until a better business owner picks it up. read more

I joined this gym because of the hours, convenient location, and it has all of the basic necessities to have a decent workout. The reason I like 24 hour gyms is because I want to finish a workout without interruptions, waiting for people to finish writing their novels or binge watching Netflix in between sets, and I don't really like to socialize when I'm just trying to get a workout in. To my disappointment, this gym ALWAYS has a constant flow of people, the later it gets the stranger some of the other people in the gym get. There is a woman who frequently sneaks in with her luggage and makes herself at home on the massage bed all the while arguing loudly with herself. One night I pulled up and noticed her hiding behind one of the columns outside so I decided to wait so she couldn't follow me in. She kept peering around the post at me and yelling things. I could hear her saying something to the effect of "she knows, she's being a c**t " talking to her other personality or something, then she let out a blood curdling shriek. At that point I said screw this and started backing up, then she turns toward me faced me full on and screamed "yea turn around you f**king c**t!" And other various obscenities, acting like a true psycho. So I got the heck out of there. Other times I've been there, walked into the bathroom and heard someone snoring in the dressing room. Finally, my monthly dues keep rising and I'm not sure why. I am going to cancel because it's pointless to keep the membership when the whole reason I joined was to be able to workout in the middle of the night and enjoy a full, uninterrupted workout, with supersets and all! read more

What really saves this place is the price. $10 a month is so cheap, I'd be happy with a barbell and a cable machine. It was set up to be a pretty stocked gym with most pieces of equipment anyone could really want, especially for the price. However, it kind of feels like a barebones, slightly inaccessible, gym for a few reasons. First, the barbells are all worn beyond proper use. They are either stripped of all grip, bent, or usually both. On top of that, there is one squat rack at each location. One squat rack and beat to hell BBs isn't a great recipe for success, but hey...$10 a month. Second, it's packed most of the time. People are mostly alright, there's a little from each demographic and can be pretty enjoyable. The real problem with the crowd is how inaccessible equipment becomes. I've gone at most hours of the day ranging from 5am-10pm. Only time it's pretty empty is before 6am. If you hit the crowd, try your hardest to work in/claim your equipment respectfully. Third, lockers. Been talked about on other reviews so I'll leave it at: somebody gotta lay off the Taco Bell and bath salts diet. Honestly not a bad spot to go if they added a squat rack, upgraded their barbells, and enforced a few rules amongst unruly (and rare) patrons. I joined this gym so I could workout with my girlfriend. It's good cause we tend to workout super late so most of the time the gym is empty so everything is to our disposal. It's convenient cause we have a location near our colleges and homes. They have everything you need for a good workout. Now when I say good workout I mean it barely makes the cut and provides the bare minimum. However I hate the quality and management of this place. Almost al of the machines are worn out and a lot of the equipment need a massive update. Dirty rusty weights. Some running machines are broken. The bathroom smells very bad and I understand that it's a bathroom of a gym but even other places like Crunch and Planet Fitness where you pay the same amount (most of the time cheaper) do way better job. On the equipment, the cushion itself is already deformed and already molded into a permanent deformation from excess use in the past. The lighting of this place is sort of depressing. It's gray and dark and bland. Also please change your name location to Midtown. It's not located in buckhead. read more

I went to the flowery branch workout anytime and when I tell you theres a DRASTIC difference. I thought since it was in Buckhead, it would be nicer, but it's actually very rundown and has no water in plain view for patrons. Most of these locations are small but it's about the person who is working there. There was equipment everywhere and they don't have spray bottles and paper towels. They only have wet wipes which is kind of gross. people would use the wet wipes and not clean up after each other. Well, it's got the basics and one or two cool/nice extras. It's got something like a pendulum squat machine which I'd been wanting to give a try and at least one of all the must-have machines. Would be nice if there was more than one squat rack, especially since they do have more than one bench. It would make sense. But that brings up the other issue, the place is super small, and, well, where the hell would they put it? And there is no stretching area. The last thing is my personal pet peeve. And as a previous gym manager, and long time personal trainer in many gyms, I know it ain't a hard or expensive fix... the water fountain is warm. It really annoys me. Who wants warm water during their workout--especially with this place being as cramped and hot and humid as it is?? It's really unacceptable and annoying. Anyway, all things considers, this place isn't bad and the desk guy (maybe the manager. Don't know.) seems like a good dude. A helpful guy with a good attitude. Nobody is helpful and they give me big scammer vibes due to being zero help with canceling and continuing to take my money for over 8 months sending me in circles from person to person. I contacted several other clubs in the area just to call the Buckhead location and I still don'bt have an answer as to why I'm being charged. Again DO NOT SIGN ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE. BEWARE: SHADY AND INFLEXIBLE CONTRACTS Willing to change this review if Workout Anytime fixes the problem. So, I've been a member for six months or so, and had an emergency to where I am not able to keep my membership anymore. When I signed up, I was informed that it was on a year agreement but I could choose to cancel anytime, and I would still have 30 days worth of use of the gym. Unfortunately this is not the case at all. Apparently when I signed up, the staff must not have been trained properly, and failed to inform me that I was in a STRICT AF one year contract that I under no circumstances would be able to get out of. No changing primary members, no paying an early termination fee, no giving my membership to someone else, that even though I wouldn't be able to use my membership at all, neither corporate nor the club would be able to negotiate some sort of agreement. The gym itself isn't terrible, pretty basic, Kinda smelly, but not bad for 20 bucks a month. But this experience has completely frustrated me more than any other gym I've ever worked with. It's incredibly difficult to talk to corporate, the financial company can't do anything but accept money, and the only thing management could do for me was send emails to corporate over the course of 3 weeks and give me a "sorry can't help you" at the end of it. The same day I joined the gym, I came in and was offered a personal fitness consultation for free. I clearly expressed that I have a lot of expenses to pay for and that I am not interested in paying for more than the regular membership fee each month. I was signed up for 2 sessions per week, though it was never my intention to begin those sessions immediately. Unfortunately, I got into a car accident soon after I joined the gym, which added to the financial stress that I already had. Then, my card was literally charged for a months worth of sessions, $750 by the way. The payment didn't go through and I received a call from a member, I told them I was having financial hardships, and that I was just in a car accident. They asked if I was "ok" and I said I'm not injured, but I can't pay for these sessions. And they continued to try and charge my card several times. read more

Been a member since 2015. Staff doesn't care at ALL. They recently changed management at the beginning of 2018 and the place has become a straight MESS. The new management doesn't even keep the doors locked. Over the summer their air was 'broken' for 3 months, when I asked them they said there was nothing they could do about it. A ton of machines are broken and need to be oiled, the weight feels 2x heavier because of the resistance from the gunk built up. Bench press/squat racks are always missing a bar, when I confronted staff the woman said 'Well this gym is 24 hours, and there is nothing I can do'.....GET ANOTHER BAR! The staff simply doesn't care and has raised the amount of memberships to the point it is extremely crowded in there. WOULDN'T RECOMMEND. read more

SLEAZIEST gym I've ever been. Originally signed up for the great location, which is the only redeeming quality of this place. I quickly found that the machines are frequently broken, and impossible to find space on during peak hours. The gym is incredibly small and cramped, with no space for stretching or floor workouts. I found the bathrooms consistently unkempt and dirty, with many stains and grime on the tiles and showers. Take my advice - stay away from this place. read more

Bad mask enforcement continues....not only does the guy at the front desk wear his mask around his neck, the lady who does personal training doesn't wear hers over her mouth/nose nor keep social distancing when taking her clients through the gym to workout....terrible behaviour. And, there were wipes everywhere, on the ground, in the cup holders, on the quipment - looks like no one has cleaned in days. Came in today to do my personal training session that was interrupted by the manager "Andrew" that could not wait till my personal training session today was over to speak with me. Also the owner virgina was in the facility hanging out joking around with the staff and did not have the moment to speak with me. I again have asked to clarify my contract several times with her and for her to not speak to me for the 2-3 mins I asked for but have time to laugh with staff shows this business is not interested in helping but interested in money. I have been told today by Andrew the manger that corporate will email me my contract since they Buckhead workout anytime can not legally send me anything through email since this can be used against them in future actions. Virgina all I want is to speak with you and stop going through the middle man that has told me multiple times he can not answer any questions without speaking to you first but then when you are within 5 feet of me ignore me. Been a member for months now and I can say it's a great gym. Everybody cleans/wipes the equipments after they're done and take it back to their place. The location is really convenient and the price is great! Plus you can use the same membership to train in every Workout Anytime 24/7 ,depending on your location. SCAM!!!! signed up for "personal training" after being lied to about what all this would entail. I was promised meal plans, workouts for my off days etc. never once did I receive ANY of this. In 5 months I had 3 different trainers,  I would show up for sessions and the trainer would have forgotten I was scheduled, etc. The WORST part is after my 5 months of "personal training" for a ridiculous amount of $180 for 4 sessions a month I am charged ANOTHER $180 because according to them you have to go to the post office and MAIL in a notice 30 days before saying you want to cancel even though you only signed up for 5 payments. While the staff is very friendly and the facilities are ok, if you have a contract with them for personal training and for some unforeseen reason have to cancel it, even if you are willing to pay the cancellation fees as stipulated in the contract, they just keep dragging you along for months and keep charging you the monthly fee until there is no point in cancelling again. it's extremely terrible customer service because the cancellation fee is there in the contract for a reason and if you cannot cancel a simple contract for me in less than 3 months and charge me the cancellation fee, whats the point of putting it there? i would strongly advice against using their personal training unless you are absolutely sure there will be no need for you to move or cancel your contract for the entire duration of the contract. read more

Sure: Planet Fitness might be perceived as "basic" to most gym-goers but *at least* the equipment is new and the PF managers are polite. I wanted to say this was a million times better than the Decatur gym, but there were a few tradeoffs. It's definitely much more spacious with more machines, but there weren't any mats or rollers (at least none that I saw), and they don't have any sanitary wipes (just damp towels with spray bottles touching the towels) so it's just people wiping their sweat with everyone else's sweat. It IS a gym though, so if you're weirded out by germs it's already too late for you :-P Front desk people were friendly, and the parking lot was easy to get in and out of! Definitely coming back, as it's closer to where I take classes and there are more weights and machines here. Definitely less of a fire hazard than the Decatur Workour Anytime. read more

This is a very basic gym, but you know what? If I could afford my own private gym it would be alot like this. It is exactly what I need. Don't come here though, cause you'll slow my workout. Are you using those weights? Update 12/20: Its not the friendliest place, I make a point of saying hello and goodbye to the staff just to get them to acknowledge my existence. Almost all the customers wear earphones which is a way to avoid having to interact with other people. Gym etiquitte, while posted on a hard to reach wall, is so lax that even the staff doesn't use it. Some people lift weights in flip-flops. I'll bet their insurer wouldn't like that! And some of the folks there are just plain annoying, like whistling guy, crazy outburst guy, and singing guy. read more

I know that I said the Dunwoody location is my favorite, but I can have multiple favorites, right? I really like the Workout Anytime on Howell Mill Rd for different reasons. I don't visit this location as much, so I don't really talk to anyone (so Dunwoody has the friendliness beat), but I love the rowing machine and the bathroom here. Most of the equipment is standard across the locations (treadmills, stationary bikes, ellipticals, dumbbells, benches, squat racks, etc.) but this is the only one that seems to have a rowing machine out of the three that I visit regularly (Dunwoody, "Buckhead", and Lawrenceville/Suwanee). I get so tired of running and biking at the other locations that I really look forward to days that I can finally drive over to this location. I like showering here as well. There are privacy curtains that block off the shower area, so I don't need to worry about unintentionally offending other people by drying off outside the shower stall. I honestly could care less about anyone seeing me out of the shower, but I'm hyper-aware of how uncomfortable it can make some people... Overall, a good location. It is a bit more crowded than the other locations, but not so much that it affects my workout schedule in the morning (usually here from around 6-7 AM). read more

They are very pushy here. They draw you in with cheap rates & a great salesman but when you sign that contract it's like signing your life away. I signed up for personal training- way over priced & I got passed from trainer to trainer. Sometimes I would have an appointment & they would double book & I'd have to pay for a visit & not get trained. The location is really convenient and the price is great. I really wish they'd reconsider some of their equipment to space ratios. For example, they have a ton of treadmills and only a few are ever in use at once (at least when I've been there). Meanwhile, there isn't really anywhere to do mat or yoga ball exercises, lunges, or stretches. A lot of the equipment has chipping paint and rust spots, but the equipment does work. I was told that it was because it was from a previous location. Overall, the staff is friendly and it has just sufficient equipment. The small space limits what they can offer. Personally, I'd rather have more equipment/space options than the tanning or hydro beds. read more
