I first met Dr. Folk when she was volunteering her time and expertise at a children's cleft palate and craniofacial clinic. She later operated on my 18-month-old son to remove a cyst from his forehead. I will never forget her walking into pre-op, sitting down on the floor, and playing with him while she talked with us in detail about his surgery. In that moment, I knew she was someone I could trust with the people I love most. In the years since, she has operated on me, my husband, and my mother for a variety of injuries and medically necessary procedures. There is no one I would trust more. A person with that level of compassion is rare. A surgeon with that level of compassion is rarer still. Unfortunately, the laser scar revision sessions I had did not work out for me and made my skin tremendously worse and more uncomfortable. Dr. Weber didn't do anything wrong, as he just did his job. However, please be careful when doing any laser work and start slowly and with low settings. You can always go more intense later. It's better than burning your skin and turning it into intensely hot and painful redness. I've had to get psychiatric help and be medicated to help deal with the anxiety and depression. The decision to get laser surgery ruined my life and the permanent redness and burning from Dr. Weber's lasers makes living extremely hard. Please be careful. I just wanted to share my experience in case anyone is on the fence about laser work. Be careful; you probably look fine, and things can get way worse from laser work. What was once a small minor scar has turned into something infinitely worse.

I had an in office liposuction procedure. It was barberic…read more I had to listen to loud music that Dr. Barker sang to during the whole entire surgery. When I asked his medical assistant to change it she told me she couldnt because it was Barker's music. I had nothing to cover my eyes. I watched my body fluids being sent thru a tube directly above my head. I felt extreme pain throughout the procedure which I voiced but was ignored. None of his assistants helped me change positions and I had informed his staff that I had a severe back issue. Dr. Barker revised a scar. This mess was lying on the instrument table which was pointed out to me. For goodness sake, when I shared the facts abiut this horrific procedure, Dr. Barker's nurse suggested I get counseling. I have tried to return, but have such a lack of trust that after 3 or so attempts To return I simply cant. Dr. Barker forbid me to speak with his staff.
