Ladner Facial Plastic Surgery - Dr Ladner outside his Beverly Hills office

Ladner Facial Plastic Surgery

Yes, I would use Dr. Ladner again, and highly recommend him...HIGHLY. I am taking the time to…read morewrite all this because I too was in your position once searching for quality and someone I could trust. I hope this helps. At different times, I have had three procedures performed by Dr. Ladner; I keep returning because he does it RIGHT and his staff have enjoyable personalities mixed with high professionalism. I also go to his office about every three months for Botox or filler; very competent staff. I've tried other places for "injectables," but always come back to Dr. Ladner's office because I feel like the desired effects last longer. As far as irritating up-sells, I don't feel like I've ever gotten an up-sell for procedures or products either; Dr. Ladner "keeps it real." I also like the post-op attention/follow-up I get from his staff (phone calls checking on me, etc.). Getting something done has been new for me, and Dr. Ladner makes it comfortingly clear that after surgery I could call a member of his staff 24/7 if I had a post-op concern (I like that). For the procedures, I also like that he has his own personal full-fledged operating room AT his office dedicated for his use only. When getting something done, it is mentally comforting to already be familiar with the environment and the staff; no cold hospital or other "facility" with unfamiliar faces. I trust Dr. Ladner and his staff, I am very pleased with my results, and my repeat visits are what really speak volumes.

I have had a couple of interactions which are to put it generously, strange. They also appear to…read morebe a red flag. I have a minor issue which even if a md does not want to treat ( perhaps financial reward is not great enough) would certainly recommend who to see. Your rep when they called me back said I should see an 'eye doctor'. When I asked what type of doctor he was at a loss. How is this possible when you specialize in eye reconstruction? I explained I had seen two opthmalogical surgeons and needed someone more on the cosmetic side. They still had no idea. I gave up and hung up and then called back asking that the rep chat with the doctor and get a speciality or a name. No response. Truly shameful. From the look of this it appears that this group is running a high end sell shop. Your reps make the sale or 'pitch' but have no expertise. Doctors then only choose the most renumerative cosmetic procedure. Certainly your hippocratic oath to do no harm or perhaps guide those in need is missing. My guess is that there are a lot of unhappy outcomes. In short unless you are only 8 tersted in expensive cosmetic work dont come here. I have no idea about the quality of their work but my experience has red flag all over it.

Living in Denver, I get it, there is a lot of us and a handful of them, and I can empathize with that. What I take issue with is the complete lack of cross coordination, poor planning, and zero need for clear and timely communication. This place takes it to a whole new level. Starting with scheduling, I told them the appointment they were recommending would leave me a tight window to be able to meet my later obligations. I recommended another time but was told not to worry, a note would be made that I was scheduled for a 45 minute consult and needed to be out in 45 minutes. Gullible me, knowing this industry, fell for it and scheduled in spite of my better judgment. I arrive 15 minutes early, I filled out all the online check in docs beforehand (an extremely antiquated system that does not even store your previous entries so be prepared to type in the same thing over and over). The nurse calls me back just after my scheduled appointment, but still with just enough time to meet my time window. After the nurse sees me, I am waiting an hour and fifteen minutes to be seen. Nobody comes in with an explanation or an expected time. I finally open the door and explain to a nurse passing by that I need to leave. She says the doctor is on her way. Like I said, I am gullible, another fifteen minutes pass and nobody. Finally a nurse comes in to offer me a phone consult to finish the appointment. I accept and go on my way. Two hours pass and I get the phone call. Not much info I didn't already know was given to me and treatment options are presented. I ask for the third time today, can I have a price breakdown for those options before I commit, none is given until an email arrives a few minutes later with two wildly different prices on them and it made sense why I was being pressured to make a decision before I knew the prices. I gave it a lot of thought and I will search elsewhere. This level of customer service does not give me a good feeling about trusting this place with my health. I will look elsewhere. My advice is that you do the same.

The original consultation went well so I felt safe going through with the wisdom tooth extraction. The procedure itself perforated my sinus causing subcutaneous emphysema in my face, neck, and chest. She never bothered to tell me until the ER told me. No socket ever filled in, I'll get bone grafts next year. But that honestly wasn't the worst of it. Due to the ulcerative colitis I can't have heavy antibiotics or opiates. I generally just say I'm allergic to amoxicillin but also explained the interaction. She immediately prescribed 800mg amoxicillin and an opiate. Called to have her fix it. Just put in another prescription for 800mg amoxicillin. Took 3 tries until a different doctor at the practice prescribed a gentler antibiotic but at that point I was just trying my luck with amoxicillin because I didn't get that final prescription until a week later. Was a little worried about developing an infection. Went for the first check-in to see how things were healing. I was crying, terrified, and in pain. She leaned in real close and said, "what do you want me to do about it?" I've never been so horrified by a doctor and I routinely see gastroenterologists. I told my dentist about it and he immediately switched me over to Dr. Kevin Nguyen, whom I WHOLE HEARTEDLY recommend. Seriously incredible, actually listened to me, and will be the one doing the bone grafts. Fast forward over a year later: the amoxicillin and opiates did indeed do their thing. She bleached my intestines and destroyed gut motility...like I told her would happen. Intestinal yeast infection, SIBO, and C. Diff. All her fault. Three infections all IBD sufferers fear, and she made sure I developed each one. Before her I was close to remission. Not saying don't go to her. She's probably fine without such a nuanced case, but I do recommend secretly recording your visits with her. Phone in your pocket on record, even during the surgery. Colorado is a single-party consent state when it comes to healthcare professionals. You can record as much as you want without informing anyone. Do it.

The nice Dr. Bovenzi was no longer present as he insulted me by telling me ears were always uneven and by the way, my eyes were uneven, too. You sign a finance agreement so if you're not happy or unsatisfied you get to pay anyway. The doctor that did my surgeries could have cared less if I was satisfied or not. He had Zero interest in addressing my area of concern:( Since this post, I've received a phone call from the office stating they want me to come in for a consultation & "possible"revision. At my follow-up, I brought my old bras to show there was no difference. Instead of addressing it, I was cut off, minimized, and told about "fluffing." Dr. Centeno was dismissive, and I did not feel heard. This isn't about healing--implants don't grow. It's about size selection and not listening to the patient. I didn't pay $7K to still wear my old bras and need padding to get the look I asked for.
