Plasma lift is a really incredible option for lifting, tightening and balancing facial asymmetries. One of my concerns having mid-range darker skin is the burning and pigmentation risk of lasers. Which is stressful given that part of the entire purpose is to reverse pigmentation! With plasma, I was able to achieve the lift without any pigmentation under my eyes and around my mouth. These are impossible areas to treat with filler (try it, you'll end up getting overfilled and spend a year dissolving... yikes), so for someone like me who also has to be hyper concerned about pigmentation and lifting, it is a life-saver. Malia is very professional, friendly and an expert. She makes you feel warm and welcome and supports you through the aftercare. I'm really happy with the results and literally can't wait to go back for other areas of my face. I love Plasma Babe for my Russian manicures! I always get extensions and BEFORE PLASMA BABE when they come off, my nails would be ugly and broken and peeling. And the nails themselves would grow out quickly and not look the best to begin with. I really like a simple, cute manicure, but the techs before this place would always mess up the shape or leave something irregular looking. If you, like me, are a fan of beautiful, simple manicures, THIS IS YOUR PLACE. Jane is amazing, and she is honestly cheaper than other Russian Manicures AND SHE IS BETTER QUALITY. My nails always come out Pinterest-worthy. That's never been true before. I take pictures with my nails all the time now thanks to Jane. tl;dr: this place is amazing. you will come out with the best nails of your life. they will have been less expensive than elsewhere. the shape will be perfect and consistent across all your nails. they will take longer to appear grown out because of the amazing cuticle work. when you take the extensions off, your nail underneath will be beautiful and undamaged. cannot recommend this place enough! read more

I went to Malia for plasma on my crows feet area after seeing an influencer I follow posting about her! I was still breastfeeding my daughter so I wasn't comfortable getting any injections, but I felt like my skin was looking roughhhhhhh. I'm a bit less than a week out from my treatment, but at this point I can say it seems like a total home run! I do think you have to go into this kind of treatment (or frankly any kind of repair treatment) with realistic expectations. For me, I have had myriad issues having to do with sun damage, loss of elasticity, lack of naturally produced collagen due to medically induced menopause and most especially damage related to chemotherapy drugs (which I realize is not a common issue- but certainly is more common than people think). The damage caused by the medical treatments I needed to save my life aged my skin massively. This treatment seems to be removing a great deal of that damage and even though it's early days, I'm incredibly pleased! The first two days were mighty uncomfortable (felt like a really bad sunburn and there was a fair amount of swelling), but nothing like the feed days after surgery are/might be! Beyond that, the biggest irritant has been itchiness as the tiny scabs start to dry up and fall off. The new skin underneath is lovely and I can't wait to see how things progress as my skin continues to heal! I absolutely recommend doing this treatment! Here are my caveats: Make sure your expectations are realistic- this is crucial Make sure that you feel good with what you're choosing to do, and make sure that you're not feeling like you're being over promised or over sold on your results... (again, this goes to you AND your practitioner both have a realistic idea of the outcome) Make sure you look into the person you're choosing to do this work. We're talking about your face after all.. Make sure that this person is not just a skilled practitioner, but also has a sense of artistry and contour and aesthetics about what she does. Again- this is your face! So now all this said.. the only person I would let do this to my face is Plasma Babe. I did my research, I had several dm conversations with her and she took the time to address every sing concern I had, and even looked into potential medication interactions. I consulted my drs (per my common sense and her recommendation). We then had a face to face consultation so she could see my skin in person (not always needed or possible, but in my case it helped me quite a bit to feel good with the decision and gave her some great insight), and then moved forward. I've been taking daily pictures of my skin and checking in with her as I had questions. She's also been checking in with me to see how I'm doing. If it were just this level of interest and responsiveness alone, I'd give her 5 stars. Now add everything else in and it's 5++! If my skin only gets better and better from here on in over the next 9 weeks, I'll be an incredibly happy customer (who btw, has like 6 or 7 super close friends who are closely watching how this guinea pig looks at the end! They're planning on booking once they see how I look!). read more

Not only did she recommend a different area to treat than we originally discussed based on what she thought would be more effective, she was patient and calm because I was nervous the treatment would be uncomfortable. I felt absolutely nothing! She is a true artist and even has videos showing her doing treatments. She is completely transparent on the process. You have to follow pre and post treatment protocol for the best results, that is a client's responsibility. Please save your face And your money! Your risk of hyperpigmentation and permanent dark dots on your face is substantially increased and very real. The costs compared to other very effective services is substantially higher and the results are negligible if any. The damage that I now have to deal with is done so now I have to pay for additional laser treatments to address severe hyperpigmentation. Malia is sweet but completely undermines the severe risks and doesn't address them until after The treatment is complete. By the way, no other reputable service providers take a deposit so that in itself should be a huge red flag. Do NOT do this to your face. I struggled with posting this because I don't leave reviews ever. However, my face is now permanently damaged and looks worse, not better. Malia lacks the common courtesy you should provide to all potential clients. I reserved an appointment with her and she reached out for a photo to confirm if I'm a good candidate. After sending her a photo she responded a few days later saying I'm at very high risk for pigmentation and she needs another photo before making her final decision. I sent her the photo and she never replied, I followed up a week later and to this day I haven't heard back. Just completely disregarded me as a client without even explaining, confirming and just letting me know that she decided not to perform my treatment....Didn't have the courtesy to get back to me. Malia, "Plasma Babe" or as her website states: www.plasmaliftla.com, took a $175 deposit from me on Friday, March 12th for a Plasma Lift procedure scheduled to take place on March 23rd. I canceled this appointment on March 14th and she refused to return my deposit saying its non-refundable. Her Instagram and website state deposits are non-refundable however, in my experience, most businesses state things like this to protect themselves from last minute "no shows." I had canceled two days after booking (booked on Friday afternoon and canceled on Sunday Morning) and nine days prior to the scheduled appointment. She performed no work on me, and I gave her plenty of notice to cancel. When I expressed to her that I didn't agree with her keeping my deposit of $175, she responded as if she was a victim and told me I was bullying her, threatening her, being nasty, trying to bend her rules, I was entitled, rude and she would not be "extending the curtesy" returning any of my money. Her exact words were: "If I refunded your deposit now, I would be affirming and encouraging your rude and entitled behavior." I literally only asked to cancel and then asked for her to please refund my deposit. I would stay FAR AWAY from this person. I am glad I didn't move forward with any procedures with her. read more

Bad business practices. This review is solely about her cancellation policy and total lack of flexIbility. Extremely uncommon or unheard of to not allow cancellations with plenty of notice. Withholding $100 because I cancelled less than 3 days after booking & my appt was still nearly two weeks away..... horrible. She didn't even give me a legit consult, I sent one photo on IG and she claims she spent SO much time on going back and forth (literally 5 dms) that her time is worth $100 for the consult fee......... when my actual derm told me to not get this because of my melasma and hyper pigmentation. If you're going to burn little holes in your skin, you would think you would do a little more due diligence with incoming patients.... There is no intake form or anything. She just booked me with hardly any info then when my derm says I can't get it and I cancel, she withholds the $. I don't recommend booking with anyone who is this rigid on their policies. It's not like she had to buy something specific for me or my appt that she needs to keep my money. I gave almost 2 weeks notice. read more
