We had tried two other local nurseries plus Lowe's and Menards without success- sad looking plants and no help who could advise us on planting for our mostly shaded area. Natorp's was completely different and above and beyond our expectations! As soon as you drive in, it's beautiful and clearly marked. The woman at the customer service desk directed us to a perennial specialist who was so knowledgeable with 30+ years of experience! She helped us find everyone on our list and more. The plants are so well organized, labeled, and easy to find. And they were so healthy- even though it was fall when we visited! I can't stress enough how helpful everyone here was. We were helped by at least 4 people who were so smiley and engaging and willing to find anything for us. They shared that they grow everything there and that they have hundreds of acres! And the prices... you would expect a place like this to charge more for the experience and plant quality but they are an outlet so the prices are amazing. My mother in law is a seasoned gardener and told us she had paid almost 3x what we were paying for some of our plants. You get the "club price" just for buying it- so easy! They will load the plants in your car after, truly taking care of you until the last moment. We were still shopping til closing time and they didn't rush us out and helped us even a few minutes before close. This was a bit of a drive from us but worth every minute! We already know we'll come back when it's time to plant more of our yard, and will recommend it to anyone in the market for plants and a wonderful customer service experience.

I purchased 5 scoops (18 cubic feet per scoop) of the Signature Black Dyed Hardwood Mulch. I shopped around online and they had some of the best prices and came recommended to me from a friend. Their website lets you tell them exactly where you want them to place the bulk mulch, which arrives in a small dump truck. I scheduled a Tuesday delivery between 8am-11am and they arrived around 9:30. The guy back right into the driveway and dumped the mulch exactly where asked and was done in just a couple minutes. The mulch was finely shredded, well-colored and spread easily. Very impressed with the product quality and recommend to anyone needing to buy in bulk or bags. Buying in bulk is much cheaper, but that's the same anywhere. The only reason I didn't give them 5-stars is that their website needs to update their pricing. They advertised $21.50 per scoop, but they invoiced me at $23.00 per scoop. It's a $1.50 difference and not a big enough concern for me to even call them, but wanted to make a note of it. Secondly, their websites offers a promotion of buy 10 bags or 5 scoops and get one free. I ordered 5 scoops and received 5 scoops. I had assumed incorrectly that they would of added a 6th automatically, but apparently you have to order 6 scoops online to get the offer. I ended up have more than enough mulch for the job so didn't call them, but again wanted to make a note. Maybe they included a 6th for free, but it wasn't noted in the invoice and the delivery driver confirmed he was delivering 5 scoops. Overall I was very pleased with the ordering, delivery and product quality. My small complaints would probably of not occurred if I had just called, but I prefer to order online whenever possible. Good business that might just need a few tweaks to their website but I still highly recommend them.

Their houseplant selection is incredible. The greenhouse is bright and clearly well maintained. It's one of those places where you can wander around for a while just admiring everything they have. I've gotten some of my favorite plants here, and occasionally they will have a plant sale. They also carry a great variety of outdoor plants including herbs, flowers, and landscaping plants. I've picked up starter vegetables like tomatoes here before and they grew beautifully in my garden. Another fun part of the store is their gift shop. They have lots of nature themed decorations, fairy garden pieces, and small garden accessories that are really cute. They also have a big selection of ceramic pots along with concrete statues and garden decor. Every time I stop in, I always leave with more than I planned because everything here is so great. Apparently, there is no way to verify you made a purchase. I've shopped there for 6 years and spent thousands on mulch, dirt, festivals, plants - (many many plants) etc. I've, despite watering and basic gardening knowledge lost a fair amount. Never have I complained or asked for recompense. I was happy to spend 30% more to shop at a locally owned business with a solid staff. But given the total lack of consideration today it is unlikely I will make anymore major landscaping purchases here... small business prices without the small business customer care . Unfortunate.
