The other one is a male plant and the plumes aren't the beautiful plumes that I was told I was getting. When I called, they didn't even know that there are male and female pampas grass plants. They talked down to me, instead of looking it up to find there are in fact male and female plants. I recommend people not buy plants from people who don't have a clue as to what they're selling. Even Walmart would be a better option than these unknowledgeable, rude people.

There has always been plenty of activity within earshot in the back, I assume while they're working on flower orders; the storefront clearly is not the priority which is surprising because it is filled to the brim with lots of beautiful, expensive things so I know he's got a lot invested in it. I could have easily purchased what I needed online, but wanted to support a local retailer in my new hometown, and even though they did have what I was looking for this last visit (for less than I had seen online) I was so annoyed by being ignored a 3rd time in a row, I left empty handed and gave my business to an online retailer in the end. I don't know what I - a middle-aged woman in work attire - did to give them the impression that I wasn't a serious customer. I understand this is a college town, and maybe they're used to the college kids not being able to afford their nice things, but college kids have parents, like me, who can. I recommend, at the very least, the store get a bell on their door, and when it rings, acknowledge the people who are attempting to patronize you; that, alone, would have resulted in my business.

I walked into this place on a weekday looking to surprise my girlfriend with flowers at work. I had not ordered ahead of time or anything and I didn't even know what I wanted to get. The person working that morning was very helpful. She showed me what was available that day and made some very helpful recommendations. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. I received messages all day from my significant other about how the scent of the flowers filled up the entire office. I just got done ordering another bouquet of flowers online from this place and will have them delivered on Valentine's Day. We'll see if they turn out just as great! (Update: flowers were delivered by 10:00am and were very fresh and in fantastic shape!)

It's like an Etsy jewelry section that has come to life in the form of a quaint shop on Gay Street. There are also lovely pre-made pieces that you can take home as well. The woman who assisted us (the owner?) was welcoming and helpful. One drawback is that your creation can get pretty pricey quickly so if you're a pennypincher like me, it might behoove you to discuss your budget with the staff (this is encouraged) or ask about the cost of things. There are also events like wine and cupcake night, so I predict a return trip sometime in my future.
