Upon walking in and heading straight to the customer service counter, the lady behind the counter says nothing, she only points to another register, kinda like I was a dog. Then after that, the only thing I get from her was snide, borderline rude comments and barking orders. Now, if I wasn't mistaken, I felt like this lady (who was black) didn't like me because she thought I was white (wearing an American flag hat); for there was no other reason that I could think of for her to treat me the way she did. And actually for the record, I'm half Asian and White but look almost Hispanic -- I tan good. Anyways, I'm so tired of going into places and getting bad service. If this continues at this store, you can bet I'll be finding another place to buy my sporting goods from. This is one of the main reasons online stores are beating the pants off local retailers. So here is some friendly advice. If you don't like your job or the people that frequent your place of business, then go find another job. The fact that people like me shop in that store is the reason you get a paycheck at the end of the week. It is truly a sad commentary on us (as a society), that computers and AI can be programmed to have better manners and treat people with more respect than we do. Smh!

Went to the front to ask for a price check and it took THREE different associates (and a lot of time) to figure out how to give me a price check and then how to print a gift receipt. The cashier had to start over multiple times due to user error. Upon trying to leave the store, the cashier told me I would have to carry my large purchases out to my car by hand because they were "out of big bags."

This establishment was always a 'must-do stop' for all of my schools that I attended there at Benning through '82, '83, and again when I returned for the Infantry Officers' Advanced Course in '86. Since then Ranger Joe's is where I have made numerous visits to as a civilian every time I am in the area on a business trip or passing through on vacation with the family. My most recent trip was to Ranger Joe's gift shop at the National Infantry Museum there at Benning (a MUST SEE museum that is fabulous!), last month (to see my oldest son graduate from US Army Jump School Class #007-20), and the gift shop was awesome! Ranger Joe's is a shrine to all soldiers and especially Infantry, Paratroopers, Rangers, Pathfinders, and Jumpmasters! Keep up the great work and support of our soldiers. After talking to one of the reps, they called for the manager - who brought me to where they have all the outdoor chairs displayed. I chose go with the step up and was ready to pay the difference, but for the confusion they offered the better chair for the same $11.99 as the original chair. Awesome experience for a situation that could've been very frustrating. I'll be back for sure!

The building is so nondescript you'd probably pass it by and not think twice. However, if you're looking for older items that the previous two surplus stores don't carry anymore, and that's including their discount shop, this is the place. The guys who work here are obviously military devotees, since they are former military themselves. Military history books abound and old uniforms are around from the recent ACU stuff to WWII era dress uniforms and mess kits. My classmate came here because he knew they'd have rank for the BDUs (the old service uniform that is slowly being phased out) and sure enough they did. Cheap too, he got a big pile of rank for two bucks. I was also looking for an older piece of equipment that was hard to find. I went to RJ's and Commando and I only found it at one place. I found plenty of them here for cheaper. Hard to find service items or vintage era patches and memorabilia seems to be the specialty. I think I might buy an ammo can here, just for fun.

Staff was knowledgeable and polite and I made them earn their wages for two hours lol but I spent 1300 bucks on stuff I've been looking for and couldn't find for the last few years.
