Couldn't return shoes because I took them on a 5 min walk. No dirt or scuffs. Looked the same when they came out of the box.

Staff at the Newnan location were extremely helpful. My son and I were sitting in traffic trying to get there before closing. We arrived around 8:15pm. Although they were closing at 9pm and probably were very exhausted, JT and two other ladies helped us find everything we needed for soccer. I was very impressed with their kindness, professionalism, and knowledge, especially after a very long day. read more

Made an online order and the website said that they had the chair I wanted in stock. The chair was $11.99. When I got to the store, they told me they didn't have it in stock. After talking to one of the reps, they called for the manager - who brought me to where they have all the outdoor chairs displayed. I chose go with the step up and was ready to pay the difference, but for the confusion they offered the better chair for the same $11.99 as the original chair. Awesome experience for a situation that could've been very frustrating. I'll be back for sure! read more

The Dick's Sporting Goods in Columbus, Georgia has the worst assistant manager with bad manners. Dick's associate Ashley Diaz is very rude to me every time I cash out with her. I tried not to checkout in her lane. Today the cashier I used called her over because we wanted to add another item to our order. She came over and saw that we had Dick's bonus certificates and asked rudely where did you get those? I told her that Georgia State Soccer gave them to me. The certificates are good till December 31, 2022. Ashley then said well we are not taking these anymore and implied that anyone can make these themselves. They have certificate numbers on them. I explain to her that the system would be able to know if they are fake when they scan them. She then said no our system takes any code. I don't know if she was playing like she was stupid or what. That does not make any sense. Then she left and our cashier apologized that she was so rude to us and that she is rude to everyone. Ashley Diaz needs a class on customer service. I recommend going to another Dick's away from Columbus, Georgia. It's worth the drive not to be talked to so rudely. read more

Pretty nice place. I like that they do not have a limit on how much ammo you can purchase. They have a pretty nice selection of sporting equipment. If you need some equipment for sports this place has a wide variety of stuff. read more

I am new to the area, but have made a number of longish visits before settling in here. My very first experience at this Dick's was much better than expected. I had great customer service from a knowledgeable sales woman in the athletic shoe department. Well, let's just say that today's visit left me a little underwhelmed. I got there about 9:30 as the doors opened. I was greeted by a lovely young lady at the door. I went to the shoe department and other than open cartons on two of the benches I saw no one. There was a young man with his back to me ... I must have said, hello, excuse me at least 3 times before he turned around and gave me a look like "why are you bothering me." The entire transaction was about how quickly he could ditch me. once I finally got a pair of shoes to try on, I was on my own, after all the stock room looked like it had moved out front to the benches. Needing these shoes, I put them in the box and went up to the front where a middle aged woman was working the register. Let's just say her attitude was commensurate with what I had experienced in the back. Unfortunately, Dick's has very little competition here in Columbus, so I guess I'll have to suck it up, but Dick's management might want to consider hiring the Customer Service folks at Disney to get a few tips. read more

The prices here are actually reasonable. What sucks is their customer service. The employees just stand around twiddling their thumbs or watching sports on their display TVs. I asked for some help with treadmills. The guy that helped me had no idea how to work the treadmill on display. I asked if he could get me a manual. He actually looked annoyed and told me he had other customers he had to tend to. I was incredulous. He asked if he should come back after helping those other customers. I told him to not even bother. This seems to be the only place in town to purchase hiking boots. Go prepared to either wait for an under qualified employee or help yourself to find what you need. Don't bother to let anyone in the store know that your experience was poor because they're not interested in your opinion or putting any effort into making the experience better. That's all. Dicks sucks. If you can't avoid going in I recommend trying on the shoes that you need and then purchasing them from Amazon. Hope this is helpful. read more

Do not buy from Dick's. Worst customer service out there. I ordered a package and paid for expedited shipping so my package would get here on time (even a day earlier than I needed it just in case). I noticed that it was not coming on the date they told me it would be here. I tracked the package on the delivery date and it showed that it was not even given to UPS. I called UPS and they confirmed Dick's had not even given them the package on the day it was supposed to be delivered. I called Dick's to see if they could overnight one to me since the first one never left the store. They told me they do not do that. The store I ordered from is only an hour and fifteen minutes away. I asked to speak with a manager and he told me they will not ship it over night and they are going to wait another day to ship it because I "might" receive the original package within the next few days. I tried to explain that UPS has already told me they never got the package. Overall Dick's has to be the worst online customer experience out there. read more

pretty upset right now - I called before I left my home in the country to the Columbus, GA store (which is located right next to a pet store, mind you) and asked if they were pet friendly. The girl who answered the phone said yes, so we drove into town, only to be kicked out by a manager. No apology was given as we were escorted out of the store, even though I told her that we called about it before we came. We are now headed to Big Dog Running Co to buy our shoes. Will never shop at a Dicks again. read more

Great selection of workout clothes! They have a lot of great apparel and as expected a lot of sports equipment. I needed a release for my bow and was able to select from 5 or 6 good ones. Didn't get a lot of help from the staff, which is the problem I always have with big box stores. I can buy a canoe, golf clubs and a shotgun but can't find a salesperson to wait on me. read more

The Store Manager Leroy "L.T." is very unprofessional and rude and provided horrible service to me as a customer and I will never EVER shop at this location again as long as he's manager. Limited camping section full of overpriced, low quality gear. Good luck getting someone to actually help you find something. Employees at this store seem like they're training to be hide and seek champions. If Columbus had an REI or some equivalent this store would be out of business in no time at all. The clothing department is ridiculous, with tags carefully folded into the clothes in hopes that you may just be too lazy to concern yourself with details such as price. Trying to get out of this store without signing up for a ScoreCard or store credit card is also a daunting task. I don't want to give my personal information to buy a pair of socks, and I don't want to sign up for a new credit card to pay for them. Stop asking. Overall, selection is limited, customer service is nonexistent, employees are like ninjas--scattering like mice when a customer tries to interrupt their break and actually purchase something. Management at this store is either unconcerned about these problems or is too incompetent to notice. Finally, the lead customer service rep at this store is, in my opinion, less than stellar at her job. I feel it would be in the store's best interest to replace her with someone who can at least give a fake smile. Humor me just a little and make it seem like you care. In closing, I find myself better off making the trip to Atlanta or purchasing from Amazon. read more
