Birmingham-based Mountain High Outfitters makes it to Auburn with this shop on South College. It seems smaller than the three other locations I've been to but they still manage to fill each inch with outdoorsy products of all kinds. In addition to men's and women's clothing, you can find camping equipment, water bottles, footwear, paddleboards, games, backpacks, GoPros, and even ukeleles. I haven't bought anything here [yet], but they seem to run sales fairly often (prices seem standard for the type of merchandise they're selling), and the folks working are very enthusiastic and willing to help. Parking in this shopping center isn't much of an issue, with lots of spaces in the back and side of the building. And there are bathrooms in the store too. I'd probably go to REI or the old internet if I needed a wider selection, but regardless, I still like Mountain High. read more
