When I first walked in I was immediately awestruck. The art all over the walls was beautiful and vibrant just stunning all together. Then when I went up to actually order I was again blown away by the menu options. However, we did finally decide to get the Hood Nachos and the Loco Lobster Roll. We weren't prepared at all for how massive the serving size was. They brought out the food and we both gasped! Being plant based, sometimes you expect normal or smaller dishes, but these were huge. The Hood Nachos had a absolutely delicious spread of refried beans, vegan cheese, tomatoes and jalapeños. All over a bed of colorful tortilla chips. Seasoned to perfection we couldn't stop ourselves from eating this. The Loco Lobster Roll was a beast in itself! At first I tried to lift it all up to my mouth, that was a fail. So we ended up cutting it in half and that worked! The sauce, the sautéed kale and the sun dried tomatoes really brought out an extra boost of flavor to the fried oyster mushrooms. One of the best and biggest bites I've had in a while! We then ordered some peach cobbler for dessert and first bite took me back to Thanksgiving. Such a wonderful place within the community of Compton and I'm looking forward to going back soon.
Been here a few times before the grand opening. My first experience was kind of fun surprisingly! A young man from New Jersey who was working at the time I came in, asked me if I wanted a tour of the spot. The walls are painted with these great murals of current and past black culture from Compton, LA, hip-hop and sports. They have a sneaker store, bakery, herbal & health food store. This place is vegan and they also serve juice options which I love! Definitely something we need in the city of Compton. There is plenty of parking its a nice size parking lot. I suggest you call your order in if you're on lunch or in a rush.
Customer service is excellent, Ambiance is beautifully architected, Food was delicious! I had the Burger and fries with peach cobbler. I appreciate the all natural burger patty, prepared to order without any mock meat products . I was alone so I decided to eat inside my car---one of the staff came out to see if I was okay and offered to take my trash!!!!! So sweet and thoughtful I highly recommend- for a wonderfully clean eating experience

I'd definitely come back again to try the other options on the menu. I would say it's be nice to know if your able to sit anywhere or is the lounge for special events? The food I had was super salty now I know I'm not big on salt so sometimes things that are salty to me are not salty to other folks but this was just too much. Idk if it was salt or the in house seasonings. I ordered the oyster mushroom poboy and just couldn't get thru it. Owner was very nice and offered several recommendations before I settled on the poboy. I may stop in another time and try something different if I'm in the area again but wouldn't drive over there just for it. With that being said I think they are a fairly new spot so stop in for some vegan food and support. They also offer fresh juices and desserts.

The Respect this place gives to our local Hip Hop Scene, to the homage of the hometown Heroes is pretty Dope and much appreciated! Now the food... I ordered to "lobster" roll and it did not disappoint! Anytime a place serves REAL POTATOES for fries gets A+ in my opinion. Black Owned! Try it for yourself.
Came into this new business to support them on their grand opening day, but left super disappointed! FOOD: I ordered the lobster roll and an orange juice. The lobster roll was $16 and the orange juice another $6, the sandwich was so dry and tasted like it was made with cheap ingredients. Also, the worst orange juice I've ever had, how do you mess up an orange juice?! CUSTOMER SERVICE: Security was very racist and unprofessional, when I first arrived he told me to get into the very back of a long shoe release line, I told him I was only there for food, he told me to get in line anyway, so of course I did. I noticed he was letting other people who just came for food into the restaurant too so when I pointed that out to him, he told me "I DON'T WORK FOR YOU, YOU'RE NOT MY BOSS." I told him I never said that and made me wait in the shoe line just to order food. Nevertheless, I will never be returning here to support this business and was excited for the new addition to the community, but STAY AWAY. YOU'LL BE DISAPPOINTED TOO.
Where do I start ? We ordered Blvd BBQ Burger, Loco Lobster roll, Black beans and Blueberry lemonade . The sauce on the roll paired with the kale.. AMAZING! The burger is like no other burger very TASTY ! I would have never imagined the flavor to be so GOOD! The art, atmosphere and family vibes are definitely a bonus. Last but, definitely not least .... The Sweet potato pound cake just melts in you mouth and Pecan cheese cake is to die for !!! I will definitely be back.
I absolutely love what this business is doing in Compton and I wish them success. Super door shop where you can have a bite to eat like the vegan lobster roll made with oyster mushrooms and a special sauce.. they also have the most delicious juices! I loved the true blue lemonade! There's also a shoe store attached where you can find some really cool shirts, purses and Nikes.. I'm really excited that they have a room with a stage and plan on holding classes such as finance and will potentially have spoken word performances. Lastly there is a health and wellness portion where you can purchase sage for burning, beads and some of Dr Sebi items. Definitely come out and support what's going on here!
Black owned health spot in Compton. I was stocked that there was a place that has 16 oz fresh juices for $6. Had the bomb greens drink. The ambience is so freaking dope! Cool art, representing Compton! While you wait you can take pics all around. There's chairs for you to sit and chill. The bomb greens drink is very refreshing perfect for a hot day. Overall, a good neighborhood spot.

I ordered the lobster roll and it was unfortunately too salty to enjoy. I hope this isn't one of those vegan spots that are trying to appease folks that eat meat. I really want to like this spot so I'll be giving them one more chance. Stay tune for update!

I have been waiting to come here (I live in the Bay Area)ever since I heard of the opening. I was impressed with the entire inside look of the place. I ordered the loco roll and fries, OMG so delish. I thought it would be spicier, however, it was still a great sandwich hands down. Beautiful space, lovely art that captures Compton of the past and right now. I can't wait to come back to LB for a visit because I will be back to PH. Hopefully next trip they have some desserts on hand so I can at least try the peach cobbler. read more

Great vegan option in the city, and there's plenty of variety on the menu. I had the Taquitos and Mac n cheese. Next time I'd get the queso for the Taquitos in the side so it won't get soggy but this was my favorite between the two. The cheese sauce on the Mac was creamy and the seasoning added some spice element. I'd def come back to have the fried oyster mushrooms, I saw another table have it and it looked delicious. The art In the store is amazing and they play great music. They also host events here sometimes I think, check out the flyers in the store. Service was also great. read more

Yum!! When the people I was going with said it would be vegan, I was kind of doubtful, but this place was delicious. The tacos we had were freshly made to order, and really great. The "fish" (oyster mushroom) taco was my fave, the batter was super crispy, and it had a great balance of lemon with all the other fresh flavors of the taco. Also AMAZED at the art in this place. The vibe is incredible, and I spent a ton of time just looking around and soaking in the artwork that covers the walls & floors. Such a gem of a spot. Can't wait to come back to try more of their menu, their staff was so friendly and we really enjoyed our visit! read more

Walking into this restaurant, retail store, health food store, etc is a manifestation of a beautiful dream that the ancestors must have inspired! Every detail is so intentional and tasteful!!! What a brillant vision that I had the privilege to walk into. I got chills when I walked in. Black excellence plastered all over the walls. Beautiful art. Amazing food. Family friendly environment!!! Its a museum!!! I ordered the loco lobster roll and it was AMAZING!!! I almost ordered another to go. Check it out and be inspired.... and nourished!!! I LOVE the idea of Veganius, but I'm OVER THAT I BEEN THER DONE WITH THAT. It's just not for me, but I love healthy drinks, but the WAY TOO expensive food which they have to do alot to get the taste right and I get it, but I'll stick to doing what I love and not eating what what does not agree with me but keep up the AMAZING work and great customer service. I truly support them on the juice side, but just like the little lady used to say ( WHERE'S THE BEEF?), and take my life before you take my BACON! read more

Planet Health was a huge relief to come across. the portion was rlly great and the staff was super attentive and friendly. although my order was to-go i had time to check out the building which is filled with art and such beautiful displays of our people. i do wish the food came as a combo though i didnt have enough to get a drink but i love supporting Black owned Businesses. i also will try something different next time as well as the lobster really did taste pretty juicy and authentic but can be a lot to eat after awhile not portion wise but salty. read more

Very clean environment and they always have some good music playing. I ordered the Vegan Lasagna. It comes with fresh garlic bread and a salad with balsamic dressing. Taste like somebody's grandma cooked it. It was very delicious. I also ordered the true blue lemonade which was very refreshing. read more

Tried this spot for the first time after seeing it featured on 'A New Green Book's', Straight into Compton by Asia Jackson. Although I live in Houston, I love my hometown, and am always happy to support local businesses. Well, let me tell you, Planet Health will definitely be in my list of places to eat/visit when I come home! My nephew and I both enjoyed the Lobster Roll (those mushrooms were fried right, and that sauce! OMG! Adding to the deliciousness was some sautéed Kale and sun dried tomatoes in a lightly filled roll. Then the trap juice! We forgot how many juices were in it, but we didn't care. It was soooo good. Finally, we ordered two slices of the sweet potato pound cake to go, and well, I though I was going to save it for later, but um... moist, with pecans, coconut and a streusel topping?? Lawd, I need to walk a few miles to walk this off! LOL read more
