I don't really like meat, but I LOVED THE CHICKEN over beautiful fresh squash. We couldn't get enough and went home very full and satisfied. Working with SKBT and Karen has been a joy from start to finish. From the moment we walked into our tasting to create our delicious menu, to last minute changes, to executing perfect food the day of, I want to relive this experience again and again. My guests raved about the menu, and some favorites included fun takes on cocktail meatballs, shrimp and grits, and chilled tomato soup shooters. The food was beautiful and displayed like it was in a magazine. Karen and her team were also in charge of staffing my event. This meant not only did they feed my guests, but bussed the tables, cleaned up trash, set up my pie display (Karen took it upon herself to clean out her stock of cake stands and create the most beautiful tables ever) and EVEN mop my bathroom trailer when it sprung a leak. As guests started to leave, SKBT cleaned every table and organized my decor. Best of all, Karen and her team were friendly and attentive the entire night. My bridal party had their own tray of appetizers waiting for them immediately following the ceremony, and all night the staff checked in on my husband and I (as well as my parents) to see how they could help. I eagerly look forward to having another event so I can hire this team again.

While I can't speak for everyone else's experience, I can speak to my own, and I was extremely disappointed with the level of service we received. especially regarding food allergies and the zero percent effort put into finding additional information from the kitchen. When looking over the menu, I asked our waiter whether the pesto contained pine nuts because I have a tree nut allergy. He responded in an annoyed tone that he didn't know and simply told me not to order it. He didn't offer to ask the kitchen or try to find the answer, which was especially surprising considering he had just asked if anyone had questions about the menu. Since I still wanted to know if the pesto was safe, I walked up to the host stand where three employees were standing. I asked the same question, and one of the women immediately replied, "No, of course not. There are no nuts in pesto." When I asked if she was sure, she confidently said they never make it with nuts. It was clear from her reaction that she wasn't actually certain.... she simply wasn't familiar with the fact that traditional pesto often contains pine nuts. (Which is fine if you don't know but please, please ask instead of assuming!) At that point I mentioned to everyone that I carry an EpiPen because I have an allergy. Only then did she say, "Actually, let me ask the kitchen." She returned a moment later and informed me that yes, the pesto did in fact contain pine nuts. Food allergies are NOT preferences they can be life-threatening. It's alarming that staff members were willing to answer so confidently without actually verifying the information first or further more to not even have a care in the world to ask for me and told me to order something else? I hope Cafe Fiore takes this as an opportunity to better educate staff on food allergies and the importance of checking with the kitchen whenever there is any uncertainty. Instead of answering blindly. A simple question about ingredients should never be treated as an inconvenience, and guests should be able to trust that the information they're given is accurate when their health depends on it. It is not a big ask. Simply go ask the kitchen. Overall the food was just okay, the inside however seemed clean and well taken care of but I will not be returning. No meal is worth wondering whether the information you're being given is accurate. When a guest asks about an allergen, the only acceptable answer is one that has been verified with the kitchen.... not a guess. Someone else's life could depend on it.

After the first couple of dishes came out, we were in! From the presentation of the food to the tasting, just spectacular. We chose to have stations at our wedding rather than a "sit-down" plated dinner because we had both adults and children. Everyone RAVED about the food, and the passed hors d'oeuvres were a big hit. The presentation was fun, and all of the food was spectacular. We also opted to have an ice cream bar rather than a formal wedding cake, and everyone LOVED that, especially the little ones. Pete actually assigned one of his staff members to tend directly to the bridal party, and she was phenomenal. She was so friendly and attentive to us, and we were so appreciative. We also had Catering by Christine do our full bar, and that too was just over the top. We even had him do a signature cocktail that we always enjoy in the summer -- he had never heard of it, and he did an amazing job with that as well. Each guest received a trio of mini desserts, each of which was delightful. We had several guests with food restrictions (vegetarian, gluten free, dairy free). The servers made sure the restrictions were observed, and they made it a point to bring appropriate appetizers to those guests, which was a very nice touch. All of the guests raved about the food. The service was also first class. There were so many servers handling the passed hor's d'ourves that every guest had multiple chances to try each of the offerings. Sometimes mobile catering/food trucks can struggle to keep up with a high volume of customers, but CRUST kept the food coming fast and hot for hours. As a guest, I can't comment on how they are to work with from a logistical perspective, but they definitely deliver when it comes to making delicious pizza.
