Made me wonder if they could truly see what they are doing. I ordered the Hot Honey Toast and the Very Berry Acai Bowl. The toast was tasty, could have used a bit more salt. The honey was really watery and was more on the togo container than the toast itself. The Acai was nice, first time having it in this form. Now looking back, it would have been better consumed immediately and not waiting the car ride back to work as it was melting. Lesson learned. I added peanut butter on it too. Was it worth over $24 for it all, eh, maybe not. Thankfully, I had a gift card burning in my pocket that covered half of it.

He has had the pulled pork sandwich. It is a food truck. The price is that of a local restaurant. You can get a lobster roll over in Clinton for the same price but get a water view and sit beneath an awning in a white plastic chair. There is never a line and most times the generator is going off. When High Tide is at the historic Academy Street School folks sit on picnic tables. I sit in my car. The chowder is very good but it's availability is inconsistent-he had it-he does not have it. Yes you get chips with the lobster. (Another reviewer brought that up.). For $14.99. I think you should get chips or slaw. Sometimes there is slaw-buy not all the time and I think that portion should be larger. I'm not a fan of sitting solo in my car eating after using my credit card. I enjoy eating with people. I guess I'm not a food truck sort of person. The whole controversy about their existence in downtown Madison is a turnoff. I cannot imagine making money in that location. There is no volume. They do air of crying and the controversy spears to be Madison's biggest issue. High Tide takes credit cards.

Stumbled upon this truck on our way home from mystic for the weekend…read more I was feeling for a lobster roll, but hadn't found one I wanted to try. This truck did it just perfect, even my non seafood eating boyfriend had 2 himself. The guy on the truck even helped us pack it so we could take it home. ..I know who does that? ? But it certainly didn't last the trip home. If we are ever in Connecticut again, will be sure to look out for this truck.

I hate writing reviews like this because Chow has always been one of my local Clinton gems. Fun…read moreservers, excellent pizzas, fresh salads, and a welcoming vibe kept us coming back for years. Over the past few years, the service has steadily declined. The food was still good enough that I overlooked it and kept returning. Eventually, the consistently clueless service pushed us to switch to takeout instead. Tonight, sadly, I realized the Chow I once knew is simply gone. The pizza was a perfect example of cost cutting at the customer's expense. It cost more, had noticeably fewer quality ingredients, and was almost completely lacking the flavor that made it special in the first place. I'll choose to look at this as a positive. Connecticut's shoreline has no shortage of excellent restaurants, and this gives me a reason to explore more of them. The successful restaurants today understand that repeat customers come from the combination of attentive service, great food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Unfortunately, Chow lost their way and seems to have forgotten that.

You get a choice of yellow or white rice. I highly recommend yellow. The beans are served over the rice and the bean juices add a ton of flavor and moisture to the rice. The beans are easily worth the extra $2. The Paradise Plate also comes with a little side salad of spinach, tomato and grated carrot with a vinaigrette dressing. The portion was enough to share between 2 people. We also got the sweet plantains. They were crispy on the edges and soft in the middle - exactly the way it should be. I HIGHLY recommend this food truck, especially if you haven't had Puerto Rican food!!

The couple's mission is to give customers a gourmet restaurant experience right on the street or from the comfort of their own homes. This past weekend was the wedding of my brother and sister-in-law at Stewards of the Land Brewery in Northford. It just so happens that they booked the Chef Truck to provide the food for the reception. I had previously sampled some of Chef John's delicious food when I attended an exclusive 'Foodie Influencer' event a few months back at the same brewery. I was not disappointed then and I certainly wasn't this time. The first course featured an Autumn Salad (salad greens, sliced apples, gorgonzola, pancetta) and bowls of Pumpkin Bisque. Both dishes really hit the spot. The next course featured Chicken n' Waffles, Mac n' Cheese Fritters, and Cheese-stuffed Squash Blossoms. Everything was perfect! The final course was served buffet style and included the "Mississippi Mac Attack" (slow-cooked pulled pork over Mac n' Cheese with Scallions) and "General Tso's Chickpeas" (crispy chickpeas, tofu & broccoli tossed in sweet & spicy sauce over jasmine rice). Everything was so flavorful. I think that the second course may have been my favorite. Another great culinary experience from Chef John! The fried cod was some of the best I've ever had. Fish tacos were very good - love the red pepper remoulade it comes with.
