It was expensive and the clerk was almost hostile when I plopped down a $20 bill to pay for it. No greeting, no thank you, nothing but nastiness. I went in for a few separate projects and needing a few different items for different weather, both high stress and weather and underwater chains and links. They had galv/stainless/zinc/bare options for bolts screws and chains. I thought I died and went to bolt heaven when I walked into their entirely dedicated second floor nut and bolt room. I got some stainless Nylock nuts and everything else that I needed. The lady who assisted me was both courteous and knowledgable, her and I discussed the projects and we confirmed our reservations and made choices on the right products. It set my under 15 bucks for everything and I was able to finish my projects to a T without a problem. For anyone who knows anything about building and tools, this place is the place to go, Im SO SO SO SO tired of the crap that you find at home depot and you just cant get what you need for spec projects (which almost every project is). You can tell when you see all the kits that someone has to half build so they can get the parts they need. Please go to this place and support local shops cause if they go out of business were screwed when we need to build anything that isnt a prefab kitchen or shed or some crappy plastering kit. I have to give a huge shoutout to Rick at Ace Hardware in Texas Corners. This is the kind of…read morecustomer service that is getting harder and harder to find. I originally bought my Weber grill from the Fireplace and Grill Shop in downtown Kalamazoo, but they no longer sell Weber. I needed some replacement igniters and figured Ace Hardware would be my best bet. I first went to my local Ace Hardware and explained what I needed. Basically, I was told, "Nope, sorry, there's nothing we can do." So I tried another Ace in the next town over and got pretty much the exact same answer along with another hardware store that is not an Ace Hardware. Then I called Ace Hardware in Texas Corners and spoke with Rick. What a completely different experience. Rick didn't just tell me he couldn't help or send me on my way. He took the time to look into it, worked on finding the igniters, and actually contacted Weber on my behalf. He ended up getting Weber to cover the ENTIRE manifold assembly under warranty! When the new manifold came in, Rick called me to let me know it was there. I picked it up, got everything back together, and now my grill is almost like new again. Rick absolutely went above and beyond when two other stores had already told me there was nothing they could do. He could have easily done the same thing, but instead he took ownership of the problem and figured out a solution. That's what customer service is supposed to be. Rick was absolutely amazing, and Ace Hardware in Texas Corners has earned my business because of him. I'll gladly drive a little farther to shop at a place that takes care of its customers like this. Thank you, Rick!
