Needed a new dentist and googled around me. My husband saw this place and wanted to try it. Walked in and wow, the inside was beautiful. The employees are very nice and helpful. Glad we choose here so far! Finally got my cleaning done and Ashley was amazing!!! I have been afraid of the dentist for years now, based off bad experiences and she had made that fear go away. read more

I am very disappointed with the service I received from your office. I visited your dental office sometime last year, although I do not remember the exact date. At that time, a new profile was created for me, and I was asked to have an X-ray taken. I explained to the doctor that I had already had an X-ray done and asked if my previous dentist could send the existing X-ray to your office instead. I was later contacted by your office and told that you had received the X-ray. I was then asked if I would like to schedule an appointment, However, when I called today to schedule the appointment, I was told that you could not schedule me because I had not had the X-ray taken through your office and that I would now be considered a new patient because of this. I find this extremely frustrating and feel that this is very poor customer service. If you had already received and accepted my previous X-ray, I do not understand why I am now being required to have another X-ray simply because it was not performed through your office. It feels like I am being asked to repeat a service unnecessarily, resulting in an additional cost, rather than having my existing records used. read more

I've been going to Plainfield Dental Care for several years now. Dr Ferdkoff is an amazing dentist. He is very up to date on the latest technology and wants the best for his patients. Stacie is my dental hygienist, she's really the reason I keep coming back. She is so sweet! She is very gentle and thorough, she always remembers our last conversation, and I always feel ease and welcome. I look forward to my visit... which is crazy, because I used to dread going to the dentist! The office has a very relaxed atmosphere and wonderful people. read more

The very very very worst dental office! Dental hygienist Juana totally practicing beyond her scope of practice acting like a dentist! I had to ask to clarify if she truly is a dentist or a dental hygienist. They tried to sell every product to me- invasglin , dental surgery and dental work even before complete evaluation! Very disappointed with the front desk staff as well as they have no customer service skills! read more

I Had today appointment with Jianna. She works as a hygienist. Cleaning it is a real pleasure. The procedure is very comfortable, no pain. Today she found a problem in my tooth that no one had seen before. She is a real professional in her field. I highly recommend making an appointment with her. read more

This office was fine when my family and I first came. They do seem to have a lot of different dentist/staff come and go. Over the years things have changed, and it feels more like they're interested in the money aspect of the business versus the care my family and I liked when we first started going. As of lately, I haven't been very pleased with them and question anything they tell me. That's a sign it's time to move on and my family and I are. read more

I have been to many dentists over the 43 years last time when a filling broke loose and I needed to go to a parodinist to get a root canal I was a little upset but my hygienist took great care me and helped me make the right decision I really have always met great dentists that genuinely care about my oral health read more

I have been a patient for 2 1/2 years. Jianna is my hygienist. She is always very personable and gentle with my cleaning. She makes me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend her. Dr Kristine V is my dentist and she is very professional, yet friendly. She listens to my concerns and answers all my questions. Excellent office staff! read more

Being new to the area I asked a neighbor what dentist they used and made an appointment for a cleaning of my implants. I have 4 studs and a bar connecting. I have been paying $43.00, after insurance, for this service. After the cleaning and an unsuccessful try at some x-rays, I was presented a bill, again after insurance, for $200.00. I will not be returning. Sharon S. read more

I did not have a good experience at this office. I was told I had 5 cavities (I had no cavities at my regular dental exam 6 months earlier, different dentist) needed deep cleaning, and was advised how to best use up my dental benefits by having all my cavities filled before the end of the year and "starting fresh" with my dental benefits next year! They also tried selling me an electric toothbrush. The office itself was very busy with several people coming in and out of my room. If you prefer personal dental treatment and not an "assembly line" feel, I would not recommend this office. After reading other reviews it seems like others have had similar experiences here. I went home and checked what this office charges for each procedure compared to my last dentist. It appears they over charge to get the maximum amount allowed for each procedure by your dental insurance. I did not feel comfortable at this office, I will not go back. I gave them one star because when I asked them to forward my X-rays to another dentist for a second opinion, the receptionist was very kind and forwarded the X-rays right away. read more

Dr. Vlad Ferdkoff is the best! Only halfway with my treatment but I love how they work! Office is very clean, staff is friendly and attentive! Highly recommend! read more

I'm a new patient, all of the ladies in the office are fabulous. I found a new dentist because my dentist I've been with for 20+ years is retiring soon. I made an appointment for a cleaning, keep in mind I just had a child and I have very sensitive gums from the extra hormones and my gums bleed a lot every time I brush while being pregnant. Otherwise my gums are fine. They didn't want to give me a regular cleaning, they required a deep clean which I've never had before so I figured why not. It costed me $120 out of pocket. Now Done with deep clean. Tried to make appointment for next cleaning but they said that I would need a parodontal cleaning to follow up with the deep clean and that one is not covered under insurance it will cost me $14 out of pocket and they want me to come back every 3 months. I asked if I could make a regular cleaning appointment and they said I would not be allowed to do that. I didn't make it an appointment at all then. They also want to fill for new cavities and re fill all of my past feelings because they are old. My older fillings are perfectly fine and are not giving me any problems. I'm getting a Feeling they are money-driven instead of what's best for me. Doing this work will also cost me a $220 out of pocket. I have never in my entire life paid this much for my mouth. I go to the dentist regularly every 6 to 8 months. read more

My insurance recently changed and I needed a new dentist. The staff is friendly but the office seems disorganized. I was a new patient and got my first crown. The temporary crown came off two days later. It was the weekend, so I got on the chat on their website to find out what I needed to do. I was told I would be contacted by the patient care team about what to do next. No contact! I called the office the next day and they scheduled me in the afternoon. I am not feeling confident that they are good....should I have chosen a different dentist office? read more

This is truly the best dental office to go to. They handle everything from cleanings to implants. Stacey is my hygienist and has been for well over 7 years. She is very thorough and super sweet. The entire staff always works around your schedule and always explain everything in detail. My entire family goes here and I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

S/O to Stacy for being so great to me all of these years!! She always greets me with a smile on her face asking how life has been! Stacy is very professional & knows how to connect with her patients. She is very easy to get along with and comforting to be around. Whenever I have concerns or questions, Stacy is very knowledgeable and puts me at ease. She is the reason why I love coming to Plainfield Dental Care! I would HIGHLY recommend patients to come & see Stacy!! read more

My experience there was painful, literally. The first hygienist I saw made no effort to angle her shots but rather injected them straight into my gums while talking about her relationships the whole time. She took no notice of my discomfort. I've never been to a dentist and had to clench the chair with pain before. The next hygienist was better, but the first visit gave me anxiety that I didn't have before about dental visits. The actual dentist pressured me into getting implants ( a major oral surgery) without answering my questions. I found another dentist that dosent make me feel scared and broke. Like others have also mentioned, they found several cavities where my new dentist has not found one. read more

Best dental office I've ever been to. I can tell you I have been to a couple of shady ones and despite other reviews here this office does not try to swindle you. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite some time and was definitely worried they would try to milk it but they did not. They were very honest about what needed to be done and what could wait. I am a very anxious person and was put at ease by Ashley and Dr. Nili at my first visit. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because my anxiety was a point of discussion at my first visit and in my opinion should have been flagged in my chart. When I came to get some fillings I should have been given options to help me through the process a little. They ended up giving me nitrous oxide after Ashley suggested it to them. They were upfront about it not being covered by insurance. Dr. Nili is kind and gentle, perfect for someone like me. I am very happy with this practice and hope to be for a long time! read more

Stay away!!!I received a bill from Keynote Collections regarding the Plainfield Dental Care service dated 3 years ago in 2019. Plainfield Dental Care added service on the bill which they never provided, and they were hoping you did not keep the original receipt for 3 years. That's a scam! Just got my standard teeth cleaning and it was such a delightful experience. Everyone is nice and welcoming and there was no pain. They didn't try to upsell me to do anything unnecessary. There are TVs in the Ceiling so you can watch and get your teeth cleaned. Great experience! read more

I took my son to this dentist in January for a consultation for braces. They sent the information to the insurance company in February. I've made numerous contact with them and they kept saying will follow up and call me back. I never heard from them. After several attempts I decided to go to another dentist to start the process over. Needless to say Plainfield dentist had been approve since February and never reached back out to me or responded to my numerous calls. They are very unprofessional and unorganized. They are not very knowledgeable when it comes to dealing with insurance companies. I would not recommend them to anyone read more

Beware of "Dr" Reda! I have been seeing the same dentist for 10 years and decided to try someone closer to home since moving to the area. I went here because this is where my husband has been getting some dental work done with Dr Ferdkoff (which has been a great experience!) and he recommended I try it out. Unfortunately, I ended up with Dr. Reda Cepulenaite. She did my cleaning (which I thought was weird to not have a hygienist) and exam. It was a horrific experience. Never in my life have I experienced this much pain during a cleaning, she had to have seen the tears rolling down my face and she never stopped to see if I was doing okay, only to leave the room to check other patients. She also did not scale my teeth or floss 6 of my bottom teeth because there was a retainer. (Lazy?) Total cleaning took her about 10 minutes (longest 10 minutes of my life!) After the cleaning, she said I had 11 cavities!! I have had 2 cavities in 10 years (I religiously getting my cleanings every 6 months, and floss & brush with an electric toothbrush daily) now all the sudden I have 11?! I told the staff after the appointment how I felt thereafter and she was very kind and apologetic and recommend I see another dentist in the practice. The next day I saw Dr Nili - he was very kind. He listened to everything that had happened, started the exam from scratch, and explained everything that needed to be done. Come to find out, he stated I have 3 cavities. I later went back to my original dentist of 10 years and found out I have 0 cavities. ZERO. All in all, I do not trust this place and would not recommend it; especially "Dr" Reda Cepulenaite! read more

Had a root canal done and they broke off a piece of the file deep in one of the canals: didn't tell me either. Now it's infected and very painful. When I called requesting to be seen I was treated rudely and told they can't get me in. Called my old dentist and got in immediately and was sent over to a endodontist who found the file in an X-ray. Because it's a rear tooth and the file is deep inside one of the canals the tooth now has to come out Stay away from this place; far, far away!!!! They push and push deep cleanings when they're not needed along with other expensive dental work you probably don't need. Stay away!!! read more

My husband and I have been going to dentists every six months since we were children. We moved to this area and needed new dentists. Our last dental appointment was 6 months ago. Two hours in, my husband still had not received his cleaning. The dentist refused to clean his teeth since he refused their "Deep Cleaning". He walked out after two hours with out the cleaning, but with a recommendation for work which would have cost over $1000. My exam went a little bit better, I did get a brief cleaning and polish. No oral examination for cancer or TMJ...(even though I mentioned that was a problem) Six of sixteen xrays had to be retaken ( the same number as my husband)...It was pointed out that we both have trouble "accepting the oral instrument"'..... hmmm first time in 65 years of dental appointments, It took 3 clinicians 10 minutes to figure out how to upload photos/xrays into a file.... Over $1000 in resin composites were recommended for me and about the same for my husband.... and they wanted to do work on me today, so "you wouldn't have to return for 6 months." Needless to say, I will be getting a second opinion and my husband is looking for a new dental facility. It may have been the particular dentist we had, but we will not be back. read more

I took my father here for his dental visit. He is 78 years old with post polio and the staff were very accommodating. It takes him a little longer than most people to get to where he needs to be and were a few minutes late for our first appointment. They still took him in and all was good. Appreciate very much that they take care of seniors. read more

Horrible. Dishonest and misleading. They are just out to make money and they don't care if the treatment they recommend is actually in your best interest. After barely ever having cavities in my life, I was told I had over 10 cavities that all absolutely needed to be filled, I went to get a second opinion (at Heritage Grove Family Dental..absolutely amazing!) and found out only 1 was really necessary to drill immediately..the rest would be better to wait and watch. Plainfield Dental Care would rather drill every little bit of your mouth to make money rather than try to keep your teeth as in tact as possible until absolutely necessary. Their billing system is COMPLETELY screwed up. My last appointment with them was in January and my HUSBAND is now getting a bill for $50 4 months later. This is a week after I called and verified that my husband and I both had a ZERO BALANCE (because his insurance notified him they tried to file a claim for my services on his insurance). They merged our accounts without our authorization, combined our balances, and make the math look very fuzzy on the statements they give you. They are 100% not honest and upfront with costs and they don't even care. I guess I should have paid more attention to the reviews before going here. (After posting this review, the office manager did call me to resolve the billing issue and apologize for the inappropriate actions of the people in her office. While I appreciate the apology and the billing issue being taken care of, my opinion still stands. This update is being added at the request of Plainfield Dental Care, who asked me to remove/edit my review.) read more

Worst dental experience I've ever had. Went in to get one filling. The hygienist numbed the wrong side of my mouth then argued with me about which side they were working on. It took 3 people to figure out that I in fact knew which side of my mouth needed the work. When the work was done, I felt like I was beaten in the face. I went in 2 days later. The dentist said she didn't know what happened. read more

This was the worst dental experience I've ever had in my life! I saw Dr. Ziliute who seemed nice until she started poking in my mouth to do the gum count. It was very painful and when I complained about the pain and blood in my mouth she said my gums were inflamed. They recommended a treatment plan with a deep cleaning ($1,000) which of course if not covered by insurance. When I mentioned that I would consider it next year but wanted to just get the regular cleaning done since that is what my visit was schedule for and that is what the insurance covered they refused to do it. The whole purpose of the visit was an exam with a regular cleaning. I wasted an hour there and had to leave with no cleaning. Please beware, don't be fooled by their beautiful office (Big screen TV's, TV's in ceilings, kids play area, public computer.) You indirectly pay for this with unnecessary dental work. read more

The dentists at this office are very eager to pull teeth or perform work that isn't exactly the best option. I had one tooth pulled, that I later learned was probably unnecessary. I also had a root canal done on one tooth and was told about 3 months later it needed to be pulled. I almost let them but they were so disorganized in the process that I got up and walked out. Good thing I did because I still have that tooth and the original root canal was also unnecessary. As far as I know their hygienists do a good job at routine cleanings but if you need any work more extensive than that, I highly recommend a second opinion. It will probably save your teeth, money and give you peace of mind. read more

I had a problem with one of my teeth that started a couple days ago, I thought it was an abscess, a lot of discomfort and throbbing pain so I called Plainfield Dental this morning because I heard good things about them and had been there before. Surprisingly I was lucky to be seen or at least I thought so???? After I spoke to the Receptionist I was told to come right over and when I got there I called inside to let them know that I was there for my appointment, it went to voice mail and I waited for a contact reply......It was 95 Degrees in the shade, with high humidity and after an hour and a half I left very disappointed and in a lot of PAIN! I'm 65 years old and on a fixed income with S.S., its very hard to find a good Dentist in this area who is taking New Patients so this is frustrating! I later relieved a phone call from the receptionist basically denying that she had told me to wait outside and I hung up. To say I had a bad experience would be an understatement. We are human beings not just patients and we have feelings.....remember that the next time you disrespect us! read more

UPDATE (5-26-16): I just want to give an update on our prior review. My husband received his final dentures and they fit perfect. The initial visits were a little shaky but the final product was better than his past two sets. Great job. I was contacted by the manager BEFORE I even wrote my initial review, so right off the bat that made me more at ease. She wasn't just responding to a bad public review. I spoke at length with the manager about our situation and what happened and she was very interested to investigate further. After her investigation, she concurred that the visit my son had was not what it was supposed to be, and furthermore, the customer service we were given was terrible. She invited us to come back for another cleaning. We met with the dental hygienist who took excellent care of my son, who was very easy and gently and who explained everything to him. Next, we met with Dr Simona. I cannot say enough good things about this dentist. She is thorough, patient and answered every question he had. We left with a good understanding of what needed to be done going forward, and a great feeling of coming back. I came back for my own dental work last week and today and have had the best service I could have ever asked for. I tell people about my experiences, good and bad, because I believe how you react and respond to bad service tells a lot about you as a business and as a person. I was updated about a few things today when leaving the office and I am very happy with how things have turned out. read more
