This place is near my house, and their prices are fairly reasonable...I've been coming here for YEARS, and they know me. I went there tonight after finishing work, a FULL HOUR AND A HALF before closing. There was ONE car in the parking lot. I was asked if I could come back tomorrow...they were NOT busy at all, and it appeared they were nearly finished with the one customer they had. I've been here a few times, I've never been overly impressed but it's close to home and they have a point system which is great. I went last week around 6pm. There were two people waiting for a pedicure and two people were getting their nails done, one person was getting a pedicure. So 3 people waiting and 3 people being serviced. Instead of telling me it's going to be a wait the guy very quickly sands off the top layer of gel and gives me a bowl of acetone to soak my fingers in. I soaked for a little until I realized how long it was going to be. He kept checking on me and I repeatedly told him I will not soak my fingers in acetone for 45 minutes. He and I both know, that's not good for me. The two women get their pedicures done and another women walks in for a pedicure and of course someone takes care of here while I'm still waiting here refusing to continue to soak my fingers. Finally the guy comes over, does a really rushed job, rubbed one finger raw with a nail file and didn't clean up around my fingers at all. $40 down the drain! Don't expect this place to tell you there will be a wait. Instead they'll attempt to accommodate them do a crappy rushed job. read more

TLDR: hands down one of the best nail spa experiences of my life. Come in, come often, and ask for T. Upon entering the spa I was greeted by a man (who I assume is the manager as he periodically went around asking everyone how they were doing). After telling him 8 wanted a mani/pedi with gel, he asked me to sign into the iPad with my name, number, and email. After finishing, I was just shown to an available pedicure chair. After seated, I was offered a bottle of water (which I gladly accepted). It's such a simple thing, but it's honestly so nice. I then was asked to pick my colors and pedicure type. I picked my usual Mayte neutrals. The same manager then asked me if I had ever had sns nails over the gel. I told him I hadn't, and he recommended it because he said It lasts longer and is better than gel. I agreed to try It. A man (whose name I didn't get- sorry!) proceeded to do the mani- paying specific attention to detail (which I am very grateful for). He even made sure to clean up under my nails after he was finished to remove any powder residue. T proceed simultaneously with my orange spa pedi, being gentle when she needed, firm when she needed, and very careful with the paint job. The massage was also wonderful and the added aromatherapy was just what I needed. After both the mani and pedi, after cleaning the last bit, both also made sure to moisturize and oil my cuticles. T even let m stay in the chair for a massage after they finished, which she didn't have to do, but I was so grateful. I feel like a new person! Thanks crew! I'll be back! First of all, the services are super affordable and they are so well done. I added a photo of my right (primary) hand 4 days after I received my manicure from Pl Nails, and it's still perfect. Second, the techs are friendly and knowledgable. Third, the place is clean and well furnished. The chairs are so comfy - probably one of the best massage chairs I've ever sat in. I went in at 5:30 and I was worked on immediately, but the people that came in right after me did have to wait. I would recommend coming in at a non-peak time because the techs take their time (and do a damn good job)! I cannot rave more about what a great job Pl Nails did. I will recommend this place to anyone and everyone, and with these prices, will probably get my nails done a lot more often than I usually do! read more

This review is for the PL Salon on Spring Road in Smyrna, GA. I have been coming to this nail salon since I moved to the Smyrna area about 6 months ago. I have always very friendly and I leave about a 30% tip. After today's experience I will not be going back. They lost a good customer who tipped well. 1. Gel manicure - After putting the foil on my nails to remove the gel polish, the technician left me sitting like that for 40+ minutes while he did an ENTIRE gel manicure on someone who came in after me and also didn't have an appointment. Why was she completed first?? Doesn't my time matter? I hope she tips more than 30%!!! Also, the sides of most of my nails are either uneven or not fully painted because he did them so quickly trying to make up for my lost time. 2, Gel pedicure - Many years ago I had an illness that often kills people, Instead of dying, I lost all of my fingernails and toenails. Many survivors never get them back. I am very lucky to be alive and have strong nails. The only thing that has been an issue since is that I very easily get callouses. I could show you my feet on Saturday and the callouses removed today, Thursday, would be back. This technician made faces and laughed about my feet. She was rude and actually mean. What is so odd is that I am constantly removing the callouses from my feet and others often comment about how pretty my feet are when I am wearing sandals! Nobody has ever made me feel so embarrassed about my feet! The service today was the worst I have ever received! read more

Worst pedicure I have ever gotten. The individual that did my nails rushed it and did not clean around my cuticles until I asked for it. My nails are unevenly cut and filed. Once my nail color dried, it was so badly done that the nail color dried in segments. Don't recommend this place at all. Only went here because I needed a quick fill in and it was right across the street and I couldn't go to my regular spot on sandy springs. Didn't seem to clean got a mediocre fill in and paint job is horrible had to get it repainted the next day. This place is really close to my house so I decided to try it out. I came here on Monday to get a gel French Manicure. There was only one other customer when came in and I was helped right away. The staff was friendly and answered my questions about their eyelash extensions. The woman told me they will last two weeks and showed me the different types (single or clusters). My gel manicure looked great and my eyelashes were just okay. I was very disappointed that by the end of the next day my nails had started turning a tint of brown. The next couple days more of my nails discolored, chipped, and some lashes began falling off. Not a full week has passed and half my eyelashes have fallen off. *I've had my eye lashes done many places and know the care it takes; I'm sure NOT to wet the lashes, rub my eyes, or sleep on them.* Even with all preventative measures taken, the lasted are still falling off. I walked in and specifically asked for a basic acrylic set, which was listed as $23 on the menu. The tech sat me down, gave me a polish wheel and told me to pick a color. I picked the color, and he got started with the process. After it was done and it came time to pay, he quoted me $38. I asked what happened to $23, and he said it was because he used gel polish, which costs more. He then said that I chose the polish, and I reminded him that I chose based from the only options he gave me from the nail color wheel (which didn't say gel, only numbers were listed). He then tried to tell me how gel polish is more beneficial for nails anyway and keeps the nail healthy. But I got acrylics?! So how is the gel beneficial when it's not even on my bare nails? I don't get my nails done often, but I know when I'm being swindled. Not to mention the tech kept slicing one of my cuticles with the drill and I didn't notice any sanitary practices when using cuticle trimmer tools. I paid the $38, but that will be the LAST time I step foot into this untrustworthy establishment. read more

Under its new management, there has definitely been a decline in the service. Customer service is kind of weird (I've sat and watched the new manager try to upsell every customer by confusing them) and the work is just not up to par. My SNS came out super chunky, and my next manicurist at another salon shamed me for paying for such a poor job. I don't think I'd be back here again. Not worth the time nor money. read more

The ladies in here are very nice and respectful. They immediately ask you if you want a drink as soon as you get settled in. I was seated immediately but the quality of the pedicure was poor. The guy who did my pedicure rushed through it and I was done before the three ladies who were already there were done. On top of that when asked how much my nails would be I was told 30$ when I went to pay the guy asked for 33$ when asked why if I was told 30$ he responded with "it's a 3$ charge to make your nails shorter." 3 extra dollars to do your job when giving a manicure? HORRIBLE JUST HORRIBLE Seriously I used to frequent here when the original owner Peter was there. He has since left and new owners and staff has taken over. I literally have NOTHING nice to say! I don't even know where to start! Went in for a new set and a pedicure. The pedicure was so beyond a let down. I actually timed the foot massage it lasted 75 SECONDS not joking! The man was rubbing my tibia bone and it was extremely hurtful I even told him and explained I'm a LMT and I know that isn't what they teach you to massage! No apology given he just kept going I even had to yank my leg away literally saying please stop that hurts! (my nail polish didn't last 3 days on my toes and it was OPI) The owner with '15 years experience ' gave my literally a different shaped nail every nail! I stopped her multiple times to show her this. She kept making excuses saying it's my finger and it's my fault that's just how my hand is!! I felt this was like a BAD JOKE! I literally was shaking and in tears asking her to just stop! Just as a clarification before even allowing her to put on the new set I showed her literally five pictures of what I wanted and asked her specifically if she could do this she said 'oh yes I'll take care of you'. I had to stop her multiple times and reference the pictures I had originally shown her again where I was met with sarcastic answers and her rolling her eyes and increasingly rude responses from her! Literally told her to STOP because I couldn't believe every nail was a different shape! She threatened to Cal police on me bc I told her I'm not paying for this terrible service and horrible customer service! She even complained about giving WATER to US! WHAT?? Yes! Not kidding!
