WORST SANDWICH I EVER HAD! I ordered corned beef on rye- 1st response was"we haven't had rye in months!" AHH you can get large rye loaves at Walmart for $2.50 retail! And you call yourselves the best in Parrish?? The corned beef was served on the cheapest white bread ($.99 cents retail) and it didnt even go to the edges! $8.50 RIP OFF!The subs my son and ex wide fot didn't look much better! PJ's Sandwich Shop is one of those places I seem to notice and drive by quite often but never decide to visit. Well, I finally stopped in for lunch today. The menu is filled with the basic sandwich offerings. I ordered the Deluxe Sandwich, which was filled with Ham, Salami, Turkey, Roast Beef, and Cheese. It was ok with average ingredients and average flavor. It's a decent convenient option if you happen to be in the Parrish area. Also be aware, the shop is cash only. read more

Wow! You can't beat a great sandwich with even better customer service. The second we walked in I felt like we were at my grandmas house! All the ladies were so kind and even gave my daughter some cookies to snack on and a bucket of toys while we ordered. The bread was light, fluffy and had a ton of meat on it. The sub sauce they use is also fantastic! I'd recommend stopping here for your beach subs instead of Publix and alway support local! We will be back! read more

This was an okay sandwich but nothing to write home about. I ordered an Italian sub but the only cheese they have is American. Personally I do not think that belongs on an Italian sub! Pasta salad didn't really taste like anything either. It was not bad, but not really good either. read more

Conveintly located across the street from the railroad museum this little shop mainly serves the locals. The subs are freshly made and have a good amount of stuff in them and yet were a bit tasteless. Maybe it's me but it seems that this is happening more and more. Any similiar experiences yelpers? Love that we have a locally owned sandwich shop in our area. We are so lucky as the subs, sandwiches, salads and I can not say enough about those darn brownies. I just love finding little out of the way treasures, or dives to some, when you are out on an adventure. This little gem is located on Rt. 301 in Parrish across from the Florida Railroad museum. They make many different sandwiches on rolls that were very fresh! I had an Italian sub "all the way" as the lady called it and it was very good. My grandsons had a PB&J so they are accommodating to kids. This little shop was busy the whole time we were there, mostly locals (the woman at the train museum recommended this place to us). Not much to look at, not many places to sit but a fun experience and a good sandwich !! read more

People, this is the best sub sandwich in the Tampa Bay area- hands down. If you are looking for that authentic sub deli experience that Subway/Blimpie/Quizno/Firehouse/etc can't provide, I swear this is worth the drive to down 301 from Tampa into Parrish. The fresh ingredients and the bread is really what sets this place apart from everyone else. Mainly the bread...because once you get that "right", it is hard for others to replicate and surpass. I always order the #5 (Ham/Turkey/Cheese) with lettuce/tomato/onion/mayo/s&p and then change it up with a little honey mustard. The inside of the restaurant is TINY and probably can only sit 15 people, so plan accordingly if you show up between 12-1pm during lunch. It may seem there is NOTHING in the area, but it gets pretty busy and a line backs up. Actually, they may have picnic tables outside as well. The interior (and exterior, for that matter) is nothing fancy...so don't expect an "experience" outside of your tastebuds going wild and appreciating your decision to dine at PJ's. Visit PJ's and I dare you to prove me wrong in finding another deli-style restaurant offering subs of this taste and quality. I've been eating here for the past year and thought I already reviewed this place, because it certainly deserves 5 stars for what they do. WARNING: It is CASH ONLY. Just got back from first trip there as just moved to the area, definitely won't be my last! Sub was overflowing and you could taste how fresh everything was, tomatoes especially stuck out! There was a line and they move it quickly, waited only about a minute or two for the sub to be done even though it was busy. It's few more dollars than Subway, but well worth it to really eat fresh! read more
