Sweet cream being my milk choice

This has got to be insane! I walked in for the first time cause I usually order online and pick up at the window ! I order a large mocha latte made with sweet cream and this girl at the counter argue me down that it was just a topping and I have to get another milk in there so I explain to her I come here everyday I even showed her my previous order so she can see how I like it and she gave me a attitude and then got the others in on making me look dumb when I in fact I order this same shit everyday! I will never be back and i definitely will tell my friends not to patronize this business also!

Turkey and Swiss cheese croissant

I heard about PJs coffee shop via Facebook, so I decided to take a quick trip to give them a try, as they were 3 minutes from where I lived. Upon walking in, there was not a greeting, there were two workers with headsets on, one at the drive-thru window and one at the register; a man was also standing behind the register - no one greeted me as I walked in and a dull and dry "Welcome to PJs Coffee" when it was my turn to order. I'd already knew what I'd wanted because I reviewed the menu as I was waiting for a family of five, (3 adults, a baby and small child), so I decided to review the menu and be ready to order when it was my turn. After about 10 minutes, I was finally able to order. I wanted a turkey and ham Swiss cheese croissant, not warmed and a Caramel Granita, with almond milk. The barista repeated my order and asked if I wanted a ham and Swiss croissant. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the Caramel Granita as it was premade with whole milk, but I was offered a Vanilla Ice, which could be made with almond milk. So I ordered that instead. I was asked by the barista/cashier if I'd ordered the ham and cheese croissant and if I wanted it warmed. I reiterated that I wanted a turkey and Swiss croissant, not warmed. She handed the croissant first and I'd sat back down. 30 seconds later, my Vanilla ice was ready. It was pretty, but the texture watery . When I made it home I took croissant out of the package and it was cold, hard and the ends prices were too dark for my liking. When I opened it to see the if it was turkey and not ham, I wasn't pleased at all, because the meat and cheese was sparse and only on one side. Even when I nuked it in the microwave for 15 seconds, the end pieces were still hard. Overall, the croissant, cheese and ham was drier than a powder house! All I can say is first impressions are EVERYTHING to me and I wasn't impressed, not even a little bit. Customer Service was lacking, the assumed owner/manager kept hovering over the drive thru person, but not the counter person who asked me 3 times was it a ham and Swiss turkey croissant. I'm glad I didn't wait to attend the grand opening because I am positive the food will be much fresher and Customer Service on point.

The coffee is great and they have a full menu of baked items. The restaurant is clean and there are plenty of tables and chairs with electrical outlets and usb ports. This is a great place to sit and work and visit with friends BUT if you need a quick cup of coffee to go, this is not the place. Their staff works extremely hard but they are completely understaffed. As we waited for our coffee, the drive thru was lined up and there were 8 people inside the restaurant and no one was drinking coffee. The baristas were working as hard as they could but they desperately need help.

Great Legos on display, a cool "game" vibe, and very friendly staff. The food was also really good. The chili cheese tots were excellent. The tots were crispy and the chili and cheese were delicious. My chicken sandwich on Texas toast was also very good. The pickles they put on this sandwich, along with the garlic mayo, really add great flavor, and the toast was buttered and perfectly toasted. The pizza was good and you can add extra pepperonis if you want, for $1. They have tons of board games and card games and even a few video games for people to play. They host gaming nights, apparently, which is cool. The service was also really good. They asked if we wanted water to go, and without asking, they brought a small to-go cup of lemons, since we had lemon with the water we had with our food. A very nice touch. It's an interesting place in the middle of Mississippi that is worth stopping at if you're passing through around lunch time.

While doing so I stumbled across this location and decided to give it a try. I was amused by all the nerdy decor so I decided to nerd out and have dinner while watching Star Trek. My waiter explain the menu to me when I told him it was my first visit and offered good suggestions on items I should try. He informed me that they have various nights where they have board games, movies, and other activities. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and pretzel bites. The food came out in a timely manner and was well prepared at a great temperature. Although the coleslaw was bland, you can tell it was freshly made. The pulled pork was a good portion and flavorful while the pretzel bites were fluffy and salty just like you would want them. As to my old fashioned, it tasted good, but they didn't include the traditional cherry for the old fashioned. I enjoyed this experience and the next time I'm in town I will visit for sure.

Some odd reason, the place comes up on my swarm app as a food truck. It's not, but it's an actual sit down restaurant with outdoor and indoor seatings. They have a salad bar as well. I loved the tea area you had black current and sweet with real cane sugar. I did their mix n match. Which entails a half sandwich, fruit, soup, chips or salad. I chose the Carmella sandwich which was good. Very pack full with meat. I was shocked I didn't taste the Spicey picadillo sauce. I guess it was because it also had mayo. I paired this with half a tomato bisque soup, was good and a bowl of fruit. ( strawberry, pineapple, and grapes) with a dipping sauce. My husband had the full Sicilian sandwich with chips. He said it was good. Prices are a little steep but it beat having something we have back home. Staff was friendly and helpful. I am not sure what apps they use in the ladies room, but it smelled good. My only takeaway was their music that was playing. Not everyone has a knack for Christian music, but maybe if they played a soft rock alternative mix and not just the one station. It's nice to have a blend.

The food was mediocre. This is NOT the same Jason's that was in North Jackson several years ago. So disappointed. Won't be going back.
