The windows are in no word from the finance company, but I did get a bill for the Fitzpatrick and I don't understand they told me I had the financing I wouldn't the work done if I didn't get the financing because I don't have the money to pay it in full. .. and who does ? now I cannot get them on the phone. very shady I've never had worked on that. I requested an estimate to replace an existing storm/screen door. The existing door could not handle outdoor elements very well so I was hoping to find something a bit more suitable. The technician arrived on time and was genuinely trying to make sure he could provide an estimate for an appropriate product. He contacted his sales manager and had him on speakerphone. He explained the situation to his manager and told him that the customer was there with him. Whoever it was he was speaking with abruptly cut him off and said "Just sell her a f***ing door, just sell her a f***ing door". Wow, talk about awkward! The phone call abruptly ended when I said that I hope he knows I am standing right here! The technician did his best to smooth that over, but you know, it speaks volumes of their practices. I was charged $65 for the estimate. After realizing I had the interaction captured on my Ring doorbell, I contacted the company and was told I would be immediately refunded the estimate charge and "Patrick" would contact me directly about this. Neither had happened and it has been a week since this occurred. I did receive an email from Marisa asking if I needed any help with my purchase decision! Had siding replaced and windows wrapped. PJ Fitzpatrick once was great and worth the extra money, not so much now. Had a dozen problems with install being rushed. Communication was poor, calls not returned not a good thing. The onsite supervision was poor, not the supervisors just the fact they are spread so thin they don't get to watch over the work as truly needed. So, the customer is at the mercy of the sub-contractor hired for the work. Took 45 days to get all repaired and job completed. Having used PJs on several big projects, this time was not happy at all. Costco referred us the PJ Fitzpatrick. They called to schedule unfortunately, we had conflicting obligations. I had to reschedule the first time. A few days before our rescheduled appointment, they called and said they had conflicting appointments. And asked me to reschedule so we did. About a hour before our new appointment time (5PM) and said that the representative was an hour and a half away and could not get to us until 7 PM. The sales team were very professional and day of installation looked good even though they rescheduled us without letting me know the first arrangement was not happening. I was told it was because of a calendar issue. However, a few days after installation we were in our back yard and started finding nails. Then we looked all around the house and found new and old nails, warped pieces of metal. Very disappointing. The gutters looked good but the clean up was horrendous. Well, the installers were prompt and ready to work. They did a phenomenal job of installing my siding, soffit and fascia! They stayed for almost 13 hours to complete the work. Downside...they were Hispanic (not that this was an issue) and broke my hydrangeas, a lawn ornament, and urinated in my driveway! I fully understand having to relieve oneself, but the company should at least provide facilities for the workers! Five-gallon buckets with toilet seats are available for on-site use if the company would spend $50. There is no need to urinate in the dumpster which then drains onto my property!!! This company provided an appraisal of $68,370 to complete the siding, fascia, and gutters on my home. The company informed me that in order to install vertical siding, they would need to install nailers. I questioned the necessity of the nailers because my home already had T1-11 wood siding, which I believed could serve as the nailer. The company informed me that they could not use the existing wood siding and they further explained that installing nailers would require packing out the windows to account for the additional thickness. Based on this explanation of the additional work required, I agreed to move forward with the project at a cost of $68,370. However, when the project was completed, they did not install nailers and instead used my existing wood siding. Despite not performing the additional work that was the basis for the price, they are still requiring me to pay the full $68,370. I only agreed to the cost based on the additional work they claimed was necessary. Since that work was not performed, I believe the total price should be adjusted accordingly. When they quoted me for the gutters, I informed them that I just had the gutters replaced 5 years ago and had oversized gutters installed. They stated that they would replace the gutters with the exact same size just in the color to match my new siding. However, they installed smaller gutter and their gutter system does not function properly, like the ones they replaced did. When it rains, water flows over the guards instead of through the gutter system which causes the water to drain directly into my yard. This has resulted the water to enter my basement. In addition, the fascia they installed is visibly wavy and warped. The workmanship is poor, and the finished product is unacceptable. The fascia significantly takes away from the appearance and quality of my home. I was able to speak to the salesperson that I initially worked with. He mentioned that our initial meeting -- when he provided the quote -- was recorded. He stated that he reviewed the recording to determine whether nailers or oversized gutters were discussed. He claims that there was no mention of nailers or oversized gutters in that conversation. However, I clearly recall discussing the use of my existing T1-11 siding as a potential nailer and informing him that my home has oversized gutters. I was never made aware that the meeting was being recorded. If the conversation was in fact recorded, I believe I should have access to that recording. Despite my request, the company has refused to provide a copy. The customer service I have experienced with this company has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional. In order to reach the salesperson who originally quoted my project, I have to contact the superintendent who handled the job and ask him to relay a message. There is no direct line of communication. I am also unable to reply directly to the emails they send, which further limits communication. Each time the salesperson contacts me, he calls my landline despite my repeated requests that he contact me on my cell phone. If I am not home, I cannot return his call because he does not provide a direct phone number. As a result, I am forced to contact the superintendent again and repeat the process. Worst decision we ever made. Severe lack of project management. Team of installers arrived at 7am without materials. materials arrived, the team threw all old materials in the yard and driveway. Food, bottles, nails, insulation were thrown and not cleaned up. A pile of junk is still sitting in our driveway. the team took 12 hours to complete step 1, blocked our doors and driveway without any project manager on site to communicate the project timeline and clean up. our siding is damaged and has marks from ladders. materials were dragged and damaged our front porch. today 1 guy showed up and is hanging off our roof trying to finish himself. I needed about 12 feet of 1" X 6" fascia covering after wind storm last year and was linked up with PJ's. I arranged for a "paid" estimate, creditable to the total cost. The "Professional" showed up in company truck, spent no more than 5 minutes on the ground, stated he had to go to the truck to complete the estimate and got in the truck. About 15 minutes later he gives me the estimate which was $750, which I turned down. He then charges me $75 for the estimate which I paid just to get him off my porch. This month, June, 2025 I purchased materials for $129 incl shipment from Illinois and after I determined I could not do the work myself I contacted a roofing company. The man said $125 the work was done in less than 30 minutes. So it looks to me that these PJ Fitzpatrick people combine an outrageous estimate fee $75, combine it with a more outrageous estimate estimate $750 and just drive around collecting estimate fees. By the way when PJ gave me the estimate he also told me that he did not have a tools on the truck so the work would need to be scheduled later. read more

PJ Fitzpatrick replaced 9 of my house windows on Friday. The installers did a good job and I have no complaints about that part. The next day, a Saturday, I discovered they had left 3 large filled contractor trash bags, unfastened, along with a large number of the old removed windows with assorted metal strips, screens and debris stacked up on the driveway against the garage. Partially blocked the entrance to my garage and the entrance to my neighbor's garage. (Our houses have a common garage wall and share the driveway.) My immediate call to Fitzpatrick resulted only in the statement that they couldn't pick up their trash until Monday. This is in violation of their contract that says the installers would clean up and remove all debris from the premises when work is completed. No mention that they'd do it 3 days later. It is now raining and all of bags now also contain rain. Also, the named Project Lead only showed up toward the end of the installation to ask me how I wanted to pay the balance, and then left. He should have been here at the end to see if everything was as it should be. If anyone has work done by Fitzpatrick I recommend withhold paying in full until you and the project lead or supervisor inspects that they've met all their obligations. read more

One of my windows stopped staying up on its own because both metal balances broke. I could see the problem but couldn't figure out how to fix it myself. After being ghosted by a smaller company that I first set up an appointment with, I decided to call PJ Fitz. I contacted them on a Tuesday afternoon and by Thursday morning Brad Carroll showed up and instantly diagnosed the issue. He even explained the strategy for repair, which I never would have figured out on my own. While Brad did everything he was supposed to in order to get the necessary parts, there was a bit of confusion because they were "delivered to the wrong office" and it took a couple of follow-up calls from me for the staff to realize what happened. I ended up waiting about a week and a half longer than necessary because the items were sitting in an envelope and no one thought to figure out what they were for. If I hadn't been persistent in my follow-up, I may still be waiting for a call from them telling me my parts arrived! At any rate, once that was all sorted out Brad came back with Ernie K. to finish the fix. They were here for about a half hour and when they left my window was in perfect working order. Follow-up on my post from Dec 2025. After three months I finally got my glass door and the job was done right at last. In Dec after I posted negative they called to come make it right. Unfortunately the glass pane they cut was not measured properly and on second visit my door still could not be fixed! Apparently the technician they sent over was incompetent, glass was cut 1/4" long and ofc can't be squeezed into the frame; he has since been let go from this company but I had to start all over again. Two other techs came to fix the mistakes, Brad and Ryan, they were good and knew what to do. Wish they sent them the first time... they advised that a field repair would be too tricky, so we decided in Dec to remove the door frame and send it to glass shop for repair. I had a spare door panel to fill the gap which was just lucky. Six weeks later they brought the glass door back and installed it. They did offer a 10% discount for the ridiculous delays. Very frustrating experience, perhaps the most irritating was inability to get a live person to talk to about the job, this outfit apparently runs a chain of contract shops and the phone # on web is an answering service where you leave a message. Eventually they do call back but how awkward! Would not use them again, although they eventually did get the job done, it took over three months to do a three week repair and I definitely overpaid. He was very thorough, took pictures of the house from various angles, sent them to their app Hover, and used the data to create an electronic image of the house. Then using the same app, he provided us with an image of how our house will look like after the new siding will have been installed. Daniel successfully explained to us why we should trust their company: they value integrity, transparency and high quality work. So we decided to hire their company to do a reno of our house siding. Installers left a mess that wasn't cleaned up after installation as well as shoddy caulking left on the kitchen wall. took over a week for the management to set up a follow up visit to fix the damage.
