Spaghetti in garlic and oil
Jess M.

If you're looking for legit, delicious Italian food, come here. The mozzarella sticks aren't those low effort frozen ones you can buy at ShopRite, they were great. I got the spaghetti in garlic and oil and was blown away. A lot of places say fresh pasta, but this looked and tasted it. Will definitely be back Service was decent, it seems to be a family run place, so worth supporting a small local business putting out great food. Pizza was also good too. The Sicilian slice I got was great, usually the crust of a corner slice is really hard to bite for me. I did not have that problem at this place. I would have posted picture of that too but I inhaled it

The Jersey Shore restaurants will always have an advantage when it comes to seafood because of location. North Jersey offers a diverse, high-quality seafood scene, ranging from upscale Mediterranean-style fish markets to casual, beloved neighborhood spots. Situated less than 2.5 miles from MetLife Stadium, Biggie's has been a neighborhood institution located off of Route 17 South in Carlstadt and is best known for its clams-on-the-half-shell and wide selection of beers on tap. My partner, our friends, and I have been to this family-owned establishment numerous times and decided to have dinner last night. The reservation was easily made via OpenTable. Upon entering this casual vibe, we were greeted by the host. There is a lively sports bar side full of TVs and a dining room side, where we got a booth immediately by the window. Their menu has a wide array of options, rivaled only by the countless photographs and mementos that fill nearly every inch of wall space. There are many sandwiches, a half-dozen salads, thin-crust pizzas, and a substantial range of pastas. For starters, we decided on two dozen East Coast oysters on a half shell and Steamed Mussels with white wine butter broth. A side of Italian bread was brought for dipping. As a main meal, we opted for the Turkey Chili, Baby Back Ribs, Fried Calamari, Caesar salad, and Fries. The food was excellent and delicious, using the freshest ingredients. The portions were healthy. The staff went out of their way to make one feel welcome, creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Our server was Hadiyah. The price was reasonable. The Garden State's seafood scene is a testament to the state's rich maritime heritage, offering something for every palate, whether one's a regular or a first-timer. This is why people keep coming back week after week.

Oysters from the west coast were delicious and the clams were fresh and meatie. We chose to split the Philly cheese steak with fries and I'm glad we split it because I was supposed to have dinner at another friend's house. Parking is easy with their own lot but it's tight so they encourage you to pull up as far a possible to the bumpers. The snow left behind from the storm added to the tightness. All in all, this restaurant is a home run.

Knowing that and taking some recommendations from those who ate here previously, the majority of us chose Paella as our entrée. We started out with appetizers. For the table, we ordered two " Mixed hot appetizers for 4. " This was quite good. The appetizer included a spicy sausage, calamari, shrimp, and sauce. All three were fabulous, especially the calamari. Maybe one of the best I ever had. Super fresh. The sauce was for dipping the calamari. It was very good. For my main entrée, I ordered the paella Venetian. As a kicker, I included lobster. You certainly get a ton of food, more than you would probably finish. The paella included clams, paella of course, and tomato. The lobster was very disappointing. I would recommend not ordering it snd pay that extra price for something that's not very large, but more importantly, not at all good tasting. The group overall enjoyed their meals. The prevailing comment was food was good but not great.

The restaurant has its own small lot and is located right on Route 17.You have to the option of doing hot pot or crab boil. My husband and I didn't know this and we're in the mood for hotpot this day. They have a rotator belt that moves along the ingredients for your hotpot, like revolving sushi, but we sat at a table away from it. The server just brought us our ingredients, which we didn't mind. We chose mushroom broth, wagyu, bok choy, enoki mushrooms and rice cakes as our ingredients for our hot pot. We wanted milk tea and boba but we were told they ran out of ice. When I asked for it again, because our server made it seem like they were getting more, she returned to let me know there was no boba. This was the only bummer of the night because everything else was amazing! But that's okay - we just went to a boba place afterwards for dessert - (shout out Roll Thai'd on Park Ave, Rutherford!) The place is clean and has some unique features. There are neon signs, such as the hotpot guide giving you directions on how long to cook the meat and veggies as well as a prayer corner, which you rarely see and I thought was very inclusive! We will definitely return to try the seafood! Thank you for a successful and delicious date night!

I especially enjoy browsing the household goods and cookware sections, and the cool pottery and flatware. On a recent visit, the most memorable discovery wasn't on any shelf: a remarkably enterprising 12yo girl was hawking Shanghai-style shepherd's purse buns alongside her father, and they were absolutely the real deal! I don't remember the brand, and there's no guarantee they'll be back, but if you spot the duo, don't walk past without buying some. There's a self-serve waffle maker (the waffles come out hot and delicious), and they have fresh-squeezed orange juice that's a nice touch. Everything on the à la carte menu is prepared fresh and hot as well. The only minor note is that some buffet items can cool down toward the end when the chafing dishes run low, so arriving earlier helps get the freshest selections. It also came with a side of yellow rice, vegetables and large chips. ++++ Surf & Turf - You can't go wrong with this and the portion was MASSSSIVE with yellow rice, vegetables and large chips mixed in. The 12 oz lobster tail was big and 10 oz of steak is a meal onto itself. Once again, fresh and delicious. The steak was a littttttle overcooked, but still good. ++++ Paella Valenciana - PHENOMENAL! We ordered it, however, our entrees came out and we informed the waiter that we also ordered 2 appetizers. We ended up cancelling the appetizers, so no harm, no foul, but the waiter I guess forgot to relay the appetizers order to the kitchen. In retrospect, we were kind of thankful it didn't come out because there was so much food in our entrees, so we were able to save some room for dessert ... which was super important! MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = We arrived at 12 PM on the dot on a February Sunday afternoon, which is when they open, so we were the 1st customers of the day, but, we were surprised that the dining room got about half full considering how quiet it was for the 1st 10 minutes after we arrived.
